Injustice: Gods Among Us; New Game by NetherRealm Studios

Let’s be honest here … MK VS DC was basically the exact same thing as the other MK games before.
All the characters had the exact same clunky movements that you could see in MK1 (!).

Injustice is coming up with new styles and movements for the entire Injustice cast. Solomon Grundy is the best example for that. He looks like he will feel completely different than any other MK character before.
The same applies for the others. Nightwing? Totally his own style. Can’t agree with that particular style, because he seems kinda slow, when it comes to movement and he has only one jump, while Batman has a double jump, which doesn’t make any sense, but … he has his own style.

The same would apply for Deathstroke, if he makes it in - and it could and probably also will happen, since Deathstroke is a huge fan-favorite, who could play a role in every story you come up with.

I could see them making Deathstroke an agile character with two stances. One with his Promethium sword for fast mid-ranged attacks and the second stance maybe being a shot-gun, or a rifle, where he - once again covers up a specific range. Add few bombs here and there and you would have a cool gadget user.

I personally can’t wait to see NRS take on Deathstrokes armor.
His original outfit looks horrible, the redesign for the new 52 looked decent at the beginning on the first two pictures, but later on it was kinda weird in the comic itself.
His design in Young Justice is fucking amazing. I would like to see that one.

I now remeber why I’m glad the comic section on this site is small.

This funniest thing about this thread is how anyone thinks SHITRY deserves to be in the same sentence as Batman.
Emo Superman is ass.

Sorry to derail the thread but I can’t believe what I was reading. Boon needs to stop trolling.

Sentry isn’t ass, Batman isn’t ass, no comic book character is ass.

Some people like some characters, some people don’t, its as simple as that.

I know people have different opinions but his argument about Batman being bad were just silly. Especially when SO MANY diehard comics fans HATE the character he pens as sooo much better done we’re just not smart enough to get it .

I have to admit I do think there are bad comic characters. I’ve never been apart of the “no bad characters only bad writers” mantra. There are characters that are just flawed at their core imo.

Who cares if diehard fans hate a character, it still doesn’t make them bad.

And if one person dislikes a character for a stupid ass reason, let them.

This all comes down to opinion, and everyone knows that opinions are neither wrong or right.

No his bad, boring stories make him bad I don’t really care what others think. Either way I’m done, I just want new characters revealed so we can get back on track and off each others back.

This thread can get very hostile out of nowhere,it should have been called “Injustice: That escalated quickly”.

I agree on everything Pterodactyl said in his last few points.

You though …
I’m willing to bet my fucking life on the fact that you’ve probably never ever read Sentry’s first two own comics (Volume 1 & Volume 2).
Am I right, or am I right?

You’re talking about the die hard comic book fans, yet most of the Sentry haters only know him, because he was playing a huge, huge role in the main events from 2007 up to 2010.
He had his first two comics from 2000 up to 2006. That’s where he was a amazingly written, stand out character. Then Bendis took over and turned the character into a mess, just the way Brian Michael Bendis likes to do it.
I can guarantee you that there are more comic readers who hate Brian Michael Bendis than readers who hate the Sentry.

Not really hostile, there has just been a series of ignorant comments and people who think they’re always right.

And how boring his stories are is again, a matter of opinion, I don’t understand how this isn’t clear to you.

There are many people who don’t like Raven for various reasons, and a lot of people who think she is a boring character, that doesn’t make her bad but it does mean she isn’t universally liked.

And before you reply using Sentry as an example, I could give less of a fuck about the Sentry, he’s just another character to me, i’m not a diehard fan of him or anything.

I feel you completely and normally I pay no mind to Sentry because thankfully Marvel killed him again. I never said it wasn’t opinion and I never stated my opinion was a fact. So I don’t see your point honestly you’re over-thinking.

Honestly I’m not nearly as big a fan of Raven as you think I just love this pic (it’s cute) at least I’m not die-hard for her. I do dislike her N52 redesign tho, it’s terrible.

On Topic: How many characters has Boon teased without showing yet? Help me out, I remember a few but it’s gonna be like 8 by now.

Can’t remember the rest.

batman is kinda bad
isn’t he technically responsible for more deaths in Gotham city than any of his villains, due to him just letting murderous sociopathic psychopaths live that already shown that they are ( for the most part) unwilling to change.
this and a few other nuggets of dc corny-ness are the reasons why i cant get into dc as much as i like

on the topic of injustice
captaim marvel, because … captain marvel.

Swamp Thing,Animal Man, Batwing, Apparently Blue Beetle.

Meh it’s typical of any blind fanboyism…the tier discussion threads are 10 times worse.

Although on the comic discussion I can appreciate what every character brings to the medium and I can appreciate the big 2 for what they offer. I like DC’s maturity and darker tones and I like marvel’s universal appeal and light hearted approach…people need to stop with brand worship I swear.

Also raven is in the new 52?

Not sure if serious…?
Marvel is far more darker and far more brutal than DC with their golden seven, who never do something dark or bad.
The Punisher and Daredevil (both Marvel) were the first characters to start the dark and gritty age of mainstream comic books.

Obviously you had Alan Moore before with the Watchmen, or his take on Miracleman, which was quite sick, but yet awesome.

Fun fact for Reason4U, since he/she/it said Sentry would be an Emo Superman.
Sentry is 1 to 1 based on the Miracleman and not Superman :-7 Guess you didn’t know that because you don’t know either of the characters.

What have you been reading? Switch those two around buddy.

Marvel is a lot darker than DC

The only thing that really gets dark in Marvel is Batman stories, there have been a few other stories that were pretty dark though I admit(the one where Sue Dibny got murdered to death is a good example).

Based off of the movie, yeah you’re right, but Marvel is definitely darker in the comics.

Was out for thanks birthday. Weren’t we hinted some reveals for last week?

Just hinted at a reveal for Deathstroke.

12/26 characters revealed so far, and at this pace they will barely reveal 1 a month, and there are only 4-5 months until the game is actually out. Ya…

And out of these 12 characters and the additional hinted out characters … we have Solomon Grundy, who is the only one obscure character so far.
All the others are quite mainstream, when it comes to comic book readers. Hell, maybe even Swamp Thing, God knows why (I’m an atheist).

Aquaman, Captain Marvel, Deathstroke … everyone knows about them.

PS: I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really hope that Batwing won’t be in the game. If he makes it it, then … man, fuck them.
I just hope that DC told Boon to hint him out, so that people would talk more about him and check out his comics, but giving him a place in the roster. Bad choice, since there are so many better characters … LIKE RED HOOD. Unfortunately with Deathstroke being in the game, I could see them skipping Red Hood, because they are kinda similar with the guns and bombs. Deathstroke has his sword, Red Hood his knife, so … I don’t know.

I’m still hoping for Red Hood as DLC (and I despite DLC). The fan-demand should be there for that character, so the chances are high.

When did Solomon Grudy become obscure? He’s in most things that generally involving the DC universe as a whole.

I was a big collector back in the 90’s but only recently got back into comics with the new 52 last year. From what I can recall in the 90’s, I remember both marvel and dc feeling equally dark in tone. In the last year since the new 52, I can say that the general vibe I get from the DC books(I’m collecting 30+ of them)are that they are more violent and sexually charged then the bulk of the marvel books im collecting now. Granted I’m not collecting every marvel book either, just around 20+ but this includes all their main titles. With the exception of uncanny X-force(which everyone NEEDS to pick up)and possibly venom and punisher I stand by my initial remark.
