Xes, stop with you weird fanfics about SRK and the FGC.
At least in this thread.

I owe you for earlier, and the use of the term ‘fanfics’ was pretty awesome, so I"ll totally do that ><
Never been in DC as much as Marvel. Other than Batman and Superman who gives a fuck about DC? Wish Capcom was making this game.
Why? So it can have a shitty typical Japanese cartoony style full of goofy looking shit, have no storyline or content, be ridden with glitches, and DLC already on the disc?
While I’m not a big fan of Supes, I hate they did to him what writers for Marvel did to Wolverine. You have a highly experienced and intelligent fighter and they are reduced to fighting like simple minded amateurs. It’s insulting.
…I actually don’t have anything to refute that. 10/10, I lose. Flawless Victory.
Because Marvel’s engine and SF4 engine are much better than MK9 engine or any engine used in a MK game. Also, ya, I like how colorful Marvel is.
The SF4 engine works for a watered down SF game but not for a super hero game IMO. A marvel engine would be a better fit but considering the way mvc3 turned out I wouldn’t trust capcom to handle it. The MK9 engine is essentially a 3D engine applied to a 2D plane which IMO is about as good as the SF4 engine. It comes down to personal taste as to which is better but I personally believe NR can do good service for a DC fighter.
Also just so everyone knows the animated incarnations of superman and the characters discussed here are for the most part inaccurate. Supes and company are actually a lot more powerful in their comic incarnations compared to the nerfed iterations we see on TV or animated movies. To properly convey their power levels in a media outside comics that would require them to essentially become DBZ characters, which I imagine would be difficult for a lot of writers and the people in creative control to handle.
MTFramework is better than UE3?
I do hope they make it a little more high-color, everything in the trailer is so… grey.
Seems to me there’s misconceptions about what a game engine does.
ST and MvC2 are on the same engine btw.
For fast paced action games and fighters, yes. ex DMC4 vs anything Ninja Theory made, Arkham Asyluem, or whatever.
Hell no lol
I’m actually kind of wondering if he means game systems or rendering technology, now
Breakers made a lot of comebacks really hard in MK9, especially if your opponent had full life as well as 2 bars and you just had 25% life with no meter. I think the meter game in MK9 in general was amazing overall, I wouldn’t mind it coming back.
Yeah that kind of makes a difference. I honestly cant speak of SF or MAHVEL because I have barely touched either of the game’s. But I assume that since NRS is making it they will use the same engine as MK9.
ya engine is the SRK misnomer for game system
You know that MK9 runs on Unreal Engine 3, right?
Didn’t know, my bad.
As did MKvsDC
whats funny is that the engine (as in unreal) does make things feel weird to a lot of FG people. For instance, at least at first (and afaik), the sweep animation for MK9 was actually tied to the model, so spent a lot of frames in the foreground/background, which made them feel really weird to people.
Although now that I think of it, I’m not sure if that changed or if we just got used to them.
If Batman knew he was fighting a giant zombie he probably could knock him through a building too some kind of way. What are you really trying to say in your post anyway? LOL
None of these fighting games make sense if you wanna take it there. None of them.
