Injustice: Gods Among Us; New Game by NetherRealm Studios

Can’t wait to see footage of this game with people who actually know how to play. All I’ve seen so far is people effin around with barely any idea how to play, showing environment interactions that COULD be used to extend combos but not really showing any combos that utilize them, and then going into raw supers just because they look “intense”.

Maybe in the next few months when/if they reveal some more characters, they’ll be ready to show off some solid gameplay.

I disliked the UMvC3 leak because it ruined the surprise of Frank West being in the game. Sure, it would’ve dulled the disappointment if he wasn’t in, but I wasn’t as excited as I could’ve been.

Way I see it is the leak possibly saved your life.

The leak made me lose a ton of hype for UMvC3. It didn’t help that Vergil and Hawkeye were probably the only characters I wanted and even they weren’t even in the top 10 “here’s who I want” list. Felicia and Ryu buffs were probably the only thing I was hyped for.

I’m pretty sure that big MK9 leak with the characters voices was intentional.

UmvC 3 leaks killed my hype alot. TBH Phoenix Wright being in the game was my only incentive at the time to get the game just because how awesome of a Capcom character and his game series is. That being said Vanilla should have had dlc ala Arcade edition option so i only get Phoenix Wright

You would’ve still been on the hook for every other character if it’s like AE. There’s no option to get AE and then only Yun…

Only this guy would make having patience a vice

Oh yeah, I forgot. This is Shoryuken, where you’re not supposed to have your own opinion. How could I :expressionless:

What do you guys think, how high is the possibility that NRS will have a sheme, when it comes to the roster? Something like …
6 power heroes, 6 gadget heroes, 6 power villains, 6 gadget villains and 12 heroes and 12 villains.

Trying to make a roster list with that is incredibly hard, especially if you try to have few more female characters as well, since I expect NRS to include few of them as well. Don’t know why… probably MK related.

This is the list I came up with so far, but damn - there are so many characters missing who could be in the game! Deathstroke for example is totally missing? No place for the Red Hood as well :frowning: And the list overall has too many well known characters are there are basically no (by NRS promissed) surprises.
But it’s not about the list, more about the

Power Hero:

  1. Superman
  2. Wonder Woman
  3. Cyborg
  4. Martian Manhunter
  5. Supergirl (would rather have Apollo instead of her, but the fan-demand for her is probably high)
  6. Aquaman

Power Villain:

  1. Solomon Grundy
  2. Lobo
  3. Black Adam
  4. Lex Luthor (because of the suit, just like Cyborg)
  5. Darkseid (or maybe Doomsday, since he is already in the FOS)
  6. Brainiac

Gadget Hero:

  1. Batman
  2. Nightwing
  3. Flash
  4. Green Lantern
  5. Black Canary (I would prefer Midnighter much more)
  6. Green Arrow

Gadget Villain:

  1. Catwoman
  2. Joker
  3. Harley Quinn
  4. Captain Cold
  5. Scarecrow
  6. Poison Ivy

I have a feeling that Bane is going to make it, he’s way too popular now to be left out. Ed Boon did mention on twitter that they’d be revealing non-Batman characters soon.

So they’re keeping the ‘‘Clash’’ system after all, I’d much rather have the same breaker as in MK9.

Now that the block button is gone, how do we perform enhanced attacks? Hopefully, this game is more stick-friendly that MK9 was.

Try New York Comic Con in October. It’s the last big event of the year that I could think WB might want to take advantage of in someway.

Well, to be fair, that’s basically what they were in the Silver Age up until Hal went crazy, any how. And Johns being the admitted Silver Age fanboy that he is…

The creative director at NetherRealm Studios, Ed Boon, has suggested that a sequel to Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is unlikely because of plans to develop both series separately.

Boon told CVG that both the DC Comics and Mortal Kombat games work best when nurtured individually for their own dedicated audiences.

“We don’t have any current plans to mash the two franchises together again,” he said.

"Never say never, of course, but we loved how our last Mortal Kombat game was strictly Mortal Kombat. And when you think about it, the last Mortal Kombat game we did, it really had the essence of the series more so than any other game in years.

“With Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, there’s two pretty different audiences; one which wants to see violence and blood, and there’s another that wants to see grand superhero moments. We were kind of balancing on a fence trying to accommodate both audiences with Mortal Kombat vs. DC.”

NetherRealm, owned by media conglomerate Warner Bros., is currently finishing up production on Injustice: Gods Among Us, which is due for release in the first half of 2013.

Boon said the game “is something that just embraces what’s best about superheroes”.
He added: "It’s a battle of the gods, over-the-top experience. There’s no trade-off trying to balance it with Mortal Kombat.

“Funnily enough, we were playing Mortal Kombat vs. DC and we were surprised at how tame it was compared to Injustice.”

I KNEW IT! Pre EVO release!

FIGHTING GAMES, BOOBIES AND LASER BEAMS!
LET’S GO SON!

DC Unverse vs Mortal Kombat had no identity, and it doesn’t really look or feel good going playing it.

It doesn’t help the game is broken, and not in a fun way(MVC series is fun). Unless you think glitches like this is “fun”.

I’m not sure if the implication is I’d die of an excitement heart attack when they announced Frank, or kill myself when they didn’t announce Frank, but either way, yes.

Nah a third option, people coming to kill you as a Frank fan since he got in over Megaman X (his reveal vid was the final Capcom reveal vid).

Its fine, I have a Servbot helmet, they can do nothing to harm me.

Ed Boon’s twitter account is so funny at times, he posts cool stuff
