i’m assuming by izuna it means bushin flip grab. i’m good with 180… that’s actually more than i thought it was gonna be. i thought they would’ve bumped it down to 150. i’m really pleased with all the changes they’ve given him though.
LOL I’m thinking “Izuna” means his QCF +P command throw in the air. After all the talk about it being only 120 too…I absolutely cannot wait to use Shin Guy XD
if you look at the translation provided by AcidicEnema… the japanese text says “200->180”, flip grab is the only move guy has that does 200 damage. guy’s air throw already does 180 with EX doing 170.

If (and this is a pretty big if) all properties and frame data of Guy’s normals remain the same with the exception of cr.LK, Guy could have a Run > Stop loop in AE.
cl.MP xx Run > Stop, [ cr.LK, cl.MP xx Run > Stop ] x n
I don’t think cr.LK has enough push back to cause Guy to perform a far st.MP afterwards. Unfortunately, we can’t test this in SSF4 right now, but I think it’s something to look out for when AE gets released.
I’m kinda worried if there is a loop, capcom will patch it out, then again fuerte’s loop is still in
Considering Fuerte’s loop mitigates down fairly quickly and only uses one attack per rendition, I don’t think a Guy loop will be an issue since it’ll use 2 attacks per rendition and mitigate faster than Fuerte’s does.
That would honestly be the most useless loop ever. Instant timing on the stops, 1-frame link for the cr.lk, and the crazy damage scaling that would affect that would make that loop not even worth having.
I’d look at it as more of an easy hit confirm thing Since cl.mp xx run->stop is -1 on block, you do that, if they get hit follow up with cr.lk into whatever. If they blocked, don’t follow up. Basically giving you an easier time to react to the fact that they got hit or not (easier if you’re good at the 1-frame link).
Looking at the frame trap possibilities yeah that should be good for a lot of tricks from there. I dunno, hopefully you Guy players will make this stuff work.
A run stop loop no matter how much damage it does would be a powerful tool, you could push the opponent further into the corner without them being able to jump out and you can special cancel into a different attack at almost any time for a knockdown. Even if it’s tight execution, how much tighter than El Fuerte’s loop would it be? Who’s to say you can’t just stop anytime to punish a reversal attempt? A loop would suit Guy’s “sheepdog” pressure style overall.
I wish some of his move had better hitboxes, especially his standing roundhouse.
It’s almost useless as an anti air most of the time since it won’t hit until they’re pretty much already hitting you.

Guy’s hitboxes on his normals are ass. In my opinion that’s Guy’s only flaw preventing him from being a truly balanced character.
It sucks that the chain doesn’t hit crouching characters or the the target combo’s last hit whiffs because you put an extra jab into your string. Standing roundhouse is a pain as well, I more annoyed you can’t hit it after focus crumple and denying you the optimal damage combo.
If they fixed Guy’s hitboxes and nothing else I would be satisfied. As he is now he is enjoyable to play so long as your combos don’t whiff -_-
You can only hit ST Roundhouse on certain characters with a LVL2 crumple… (Rufus for example) and On LVL 3 it always connects I believe on every characters and on majority if not all the cast on a CH lvl 2 crumple.
I’ve never hit st.HK on a crumpled opponent, level 3 or otherwise. I’ll go back to try later.
I’m pretty sure for smaller characters like chun-li and cammy, it is impossible to hit them with st.hk after focus crumple, regardless of level. Maybe you can, but if you can, its a lot harder than on other characters.
theres a list somewhere here which shows on which chars u can do after LVL2 FA…after FA3 its possible on everyone though (dan would proly be the hardest since he falls too damn fast)…just get the timing its not hard but dont try it much online its kinda hard to get in lag…
is arcade edition patch coming on the 16th (in 3 days?)
