Probably buff… instant elbow drops would probably give guy a short jump.
Judging how useful Dee Jay’s knee shot is with how it alters Dee Jay’s jump…if elbow now is like that, that’s a huge buff.
If I’m not mistaken, I believe I saw that Guy’s MP xx HP target combo whiffing on some crouching opponents was fixed, and I BELIEVE there was a buff to the range on his U2. I can’t remember if that was confirmed or rumored though…
There was also faster cr.hk and faster hozzanto but there’s no point discussing this until confirmation. I mostly want fixed tc to be confirmed
I just saw a vid of Guy from the earlier SSF4 builds … and noticed his D+MP and C.Hk are indeed faster in that… perhaps Capcom is just giving guy back some stuff that they removed in the final build of SSF4??

This would be pretty balanced. First off, you don’t meaty with crouching light punch, meaning at the very best it’s 5 whole scaling hits into a 180 damage move. That’s what TC is 214 and that’s something like .70 x 180. It would take away all reason to do super honestly, minus hard kick ninja sickle hk tatsu super but that would still be alright, but that’s not neccasary itself, Guy needs other buffs.
I hate that his walking speed is meh and his throw range is .8. : /
But anyways it would give him a unteachable knockdown.

i think you’re misreading it… EX run itself still has 2 hits of armor… the STOP itself off of EX run now has 1 hit of armor… so in total EX run stop can absorb 3 hits.
Would still be aces to see it executed, I love the look of Kaiten Otoshi the more I see it the better

Its probably so the move doesn’t randomly lose to shit like jabs and stuff when its starting off. So it can actaully be used as a random dp in situations.
Although if it was upper probably gives you a lot of new anti air options considering how the game works. Anti air lk hurricane kick to super. Or early lk hurricane kick to another hurricane kick(then super)/ultra/shoulder FDC to ultra. That kinda stuff…
If elbow is faster maybe you can do focus attack to jump elbow hit land then combo now. It already came sorta close to working as it is. Maybe now it will work for real. Maybe have some dizzy sorta combos after it.
