In your own opinion

In street fighter 4 in the heat of the moment i could realise why i am losing and respect the fact that i lost. helps in improving.

In street fighter 5 i rage because both my victories and my losses seem random as hell. Don’t like the fact about people actually thinking inherent lag was a good thing.

making a SF title with both input buffer and input delay is the biggest slap to the face to people who have been playing fighting games for a long time, fuckin whack!!!

In my opinion I know that it’s pointless what I think about this game, because what other people think is the way for them and my opinion is wrong.

Change the games and you’re in my situation.
I never knew why I lost in 4, because it looked random as hell.
I have these situations in some (Urien) matches too, but I can tell 99% of the time why I lost, while I couldn’t in SFIV.

But thats my opinion and if the internet teached me one thing, than the own opinion is worth shit.

I prefer any SF to SF5. I didn’t even like SF4 until I played SF5 ffs. SF5 has no single player content and offers a horrible online experience. The loading times are insane, the model clipping is amateurish, the gameplay is very boring and got stale immediately. Nothing in the game provides a sense of satisfaction and it has to be the buggiest cash grab i’ve seen from a SF game. Pro’s are propping up this turd and keeping limited interest in it alive. The whole game design was an utter failure. Hey guys lets make a game for casual scrubs who can’t be bothered to learn proper combos or work on execution, but lets force them to play competitive online only, suffer through extremely long loading times, long match making times, awful netcode, and lets give them no actual offline content for their money. If they don’t enjoy waiting forever for a match to load, waiting even longer to find and opponent, and if they cannot enjoy players teleporting all over their screen and rolling back out of hit confirms while regaining the lost health from it, well then something is wrong with them! Nobody needs content, they just need boring easy, brain dead combo mash. Get thrilled by watching 50 moves a minute whiff on the pro tour because of stubby hitboxes & bad game design. Be dazzled by bad clipping while enjoying the all new high level tactics of “jump ins” and “shimmy”. Yes there is a lack of content, bad clipping, bad netcode, horrid servers, unstable online network, new glitches with every update, long loading times, poor matchmaking, but extremely limited game play will be all the rage in 2016/2017 and carry this… Signed Ono and the SF5 DEV team.

klonk klonk klonk…your turn…klonk klonk klonk…

I am sorry but thats how the game feels to me.

you want to get gud!? well better study that “frame data” cuz thats the only way you are gonna win lol… no room for creativety imo

but hey play what ever the fuck you want, I know I aint playin SFV thats for sure

This fight is a good representation of how awful this game is. Not once during that match did i see a moment of: “Yooooo nice move man”

Just random insanity each and every time. See it in my own matches too. Anti air a guy 4 times in a row and proceed to get bodied by ANOTHER jump in to super because that’s what people do in this game.

And? people played like this in IV too, especialy with 2 vortex characters.
Did you even play online? I anti-aired a guy 6x with a DP and he keeped jumping in the whole time and that was someone with allmost 4kPP.

People play dumb, no matter the game.

@itzpookiie
@Mesenkomaha

Hahahahaha

Dude i play. Difference between 3rd strike and ssf4 is that you got punished heavy for playing scrubby like jumping in when your not supposed to.

Instead jumping replaced footsies because?

Makes you wonder how the hell that dude got 4000 points in the first place?

Lol, this guy must be a former Mika main.

But I don’t see how random online matches can be used as a proof of a game sucking. It’s the same as linking a game of IV where one guy gets one knockdown and proceed to vortex it’s opponent to death and saying that is a representation of how the game has no neutral.

Also, 4k means nothing. I reached gold rank maining a very mediocre Karin and the shittiest Necalli ever.

the 4k pp was meant for sf4 not 5.
i would say that its more like a plat/super plat rank in 5 when you want to compare it.

just as a info… :coffee:

Oh right, my bad.

That was for SFIV not V, he had 4kPP in SFIV.
Doesn’t even matter, I never encounter someone who wants to play Footsies, they either jump around like little rabbits or sit in a corner and throw fireballs.

Footsies online was always jump around and throw some fireballs, if someone used his normals it was mainly sweep or lights for blockstrings.
This hasn’t changed in the slightest, it’s not a problem with the game, it’s a problem with the people.

of course unblockables were still in ssf4, but it wasn’t completely vortex driven like in ae2012 or dominated by team hong kong in ae. Defensive charge characters were better in ssf4 than they were in any other incarnations of sf4, even though offense still previals at the end. Guile and Honda were overrated as top tier from the first ssf4 tier list.

Ryu was perfect in that game. He got nerfed from vanilla but he still retained his godlike c.mk. AE nerfed damage and pretty much everything down to the ground so naturally, vortex/unblockable based game play became the dominant style of play.

You have characters like Sakura rising to the top even though she has no business being there. 3/4 of the cast can keep her out/outfootsie her yet all it takes is one stupid knockdown into death. Another example is SSF4 rose vs akuma was even, maybe even in Rose favor because of her no recovery U2. AE/2012 Rose vs Akuma was like pissing in the wind. You can play a good ground game and all it takes is one knockdown and have everything in his favor.

I know a lot of people like to give Elena shit for her outstanding c.lk game in ultra but at the end of the day, I would rather deal with one keepaway/runaway character than the vortex crew of ae2012.

You’re taking this video out of context. It was posted for a specific reason, not one of which is to show how hype the match was. It was posted because someone had mentioned how you can be kicking someone’s ass one match then get double perfected the next. This is precisely what happened. Note that at this point in time the FT5 was at 3-4, and my double perfect here made it 4-4. He then followed it up with a double perfect of his own to win the set. That was the context of this video.

I’m sorry that a grappler match didn’t hype you up, and thus the game is shit. When I play with pookiie it’s just a slobber knocker, two strong offline tournament players going blow for blow, win for win. It isn’t supposed to be pretty.

Didn’t mean to insult you or your friend pookiie. I used that video to just demonstrate that this game is very do without thought or guess and just do it.

Been having these situations myself where i get double perfected playing safe. then turn on the insanity to return the favor in a first to 5 set.

All these matches that are then won are not based of off logical thinking but more in the line of emotional thinking. Which is why i personally despise this iteration of street fighter. Just the understanding part of this game ain’t clear enough for me therefor i dislike this game.

that is so true, its 100% emotional driven…

thats why you NEVER hear anyone blame themself after loosing in SFV, its ALWAYS the other player playing scrubby.

I guess if you play at absolute top, then Its probably more fun, but that is like 1% of the playerbase

I think V is a better game at its core, but the e-sports sterilization of the character cast and scene has made it a much less fun experience than IV overall.

If you don’t study frame data in other fighting games then you’re probably trash at them.
