But seriously, what the heck is up with Annie’s/Aeon’s popularity? I can get Minette going by appearance. The other two seem wholly uninteresting from a North American perspective. Have the JP votes influenced these more than anticipated?

Well, yes, I’m speculating on what NA’ers would prefer. Given what I’ve read on several boards including SRK, I find these final 4 choices very surprising. Was all the Panzer/Stanley/Isaac hype just coming from a vocal minority?
To be sure, only Isaac in the above was among my votes. I just find this top 4 a very surprising turn of events.

Well, Eliza and Aeon were both in my first 4 so… wait what? Aeon made it to top 4?
At this point, only minette is kinda lame but even if minette won, I wouldn’t flip. Goddarn it, why 2 out of 4???
I’m happy with the top 4 I would of been happy with the top 4 if it had Ball sack in there or two but hell, what are you going to about it. You can cry like a two yr old or accept it like an adult and have fun with a game that no body thought that this would happen to…I choose to accept it
First of all you guys need to relax, this is America, and people work hard for their money. If they want to do charge backs for whatever reasons, that’s their rights. People may think it’s foolish to do a charge back because their characters didn’t get in. However it’s even more ludicrous to tell people what they can or cannot do with their own money. I mentioned several times already that the polling was too long and people were becoming attached to characters that statistically had a 75% chance of NOT making it into the game.
Now on to my finals predictions. I was originally disappointed that Minette made it into the final four, but if it’s true that all the male characters were defeated because the male vote was split, this means that Minette’s inclusion into top four is a blessing in disguise.
Since Mike Z specifically told people not to vote for Aeon, she’s not going to win, that leaves Annie, Eliza, and Minette. Annie and Minette are both Loli characters so with only 1 vote, people that voted for both of them will not be forced to choose one. The Loli vote is going to be split drastically reducing their influence on the final vote. However majority of the voters that wanted male characters, are not going to vote for loli characters. I’m hoping that that ones that didn’t already pull out their funding will vote for Eliza as she’s the only non loli character left without Aeon. If she can get about 38% of the vote she can win the whole thing.
So we can all thank Minette voters for getting Eliza elected the next Skull Girls character by default.

They will all go home and cry on their huge pillows, as for me I could honestly enjoy any and all characters that they put in, do I have a a preference, absolutely! Do I care that they get in to a point yes but otherwise oh well. It’s not lab zero’s fault that we may or may not become emotionally attached to these characters, the only blame to be pointed is to ourselves for having high hopes despite being told of the curcumstances, you buy into a vote you, then you vote, but your vote doesn’t hangs the outcome of your choices well tough titties that’s life, take your thumb out of your mouth and stop bitching… Soo my rant kinda built his comment from his

Not really. I’m happy that I’m finally getting a solid fighter that’s going to run natively on linux, so there’s very little Lab Zero can do that could sour that.

I don’t think this is true. I think people who are anti rushdown will vote for Minette or Eliza. I know multiple people who voted for Eliza and Annie previously. I don’t think just because you supported Minette means you had to have supported Annie. The reason I don’t buy the “Loli vote split” concept is the fact that Annie and Minette already have gotten enough support to both make it this far (while Umbrella was eliminated) I don’t think everyone who’s voting for Minette voted for Annie.
For what it’s worth I’d be happy for everyone, but I’m rooting for Minette.
I just really hope that Eliza is the character that gets in! She really is one the more interesting designs I have seen for a fighting game
