I can understand being sad a character you wanted to make it in doesn’t make it in. Angry? I think that’s a bit much but respect your right to your emotions. But here’s the major issue I’m having.
When you have people spitting angry over a chance for a character to make it in that they KNEW ABOUT IN ADVANCE WAS ONLY A CHANCE I think is stupid as hell.
And then when you have some people threatening to chargeback their donations after the fact? Which is causing a situation with Paypal freezing a chunk of funds
and creating problems for the people they were supposed to ‘support’? I don’t care what kind of damn justifications you might try and think up but that’s fucktarded.
I never said that it was right for people to go around trying to take back there money on something that they knew wasnt anywhere near guaranteed. Im certainly not asking for my money back and i wont ask for it back even if like minette and Marie were the voted in characters.
Me understanding peoples rage is no where near condoning people pulling funds. One is an obvious and emotional response to disappointment. The other is lying in hindsight and in many respects, stealing.
Though how you could jump the gun and think that what i stated in any way serves to defend those trying to pull funding… Yeah, you people make jumps that not even hulk would try.
In hindsight though i should expect this kind of behavior.
No, i dont condone pulling of funds promised and given. Being mad at circumstances as far as extra charcters are concerned? Of course. But not taking back whats already freely been given and in no way was ever fraudulent.

People should not be this angry over it. The entire campaign, the mystery vote was only about a chance for a character you wanted getting in.
A chance. 1 out of 31 initially but now it’s 2. That’s a 6.5% chance that 2 characters you want and 3.2 chance that 1 character you’d really want would
make it in not counting a want of multiple characters.
This is why I’m really not keen with people raging about it. Up front it was pretty much a lottery. And there are still other characters coming down
the line that some people have apparently forgotten. Saying that they’re losing FOR ALL TIME if the people they want don’t make it in is just not one
I believe is rational. But then emotions aren’t always rational. Just doesn’t mean I have to agree with it.

Anyways, i think you are thinking about this wrong, and, while i cant speak for others, i can say this:
My anger isnt because “my” characters didnt get voted in… (Though it doesnt matter) 2 of my characters are still in the running.
I personally am not mad that my favorites (dahlia and Regina) didnt make it in… It was a crapshoot anyway, i am however mad that dahlia didnt make it further (cause it shows that she may not have a chance in the second round) and because (this is the important point) the characters that ARE available… By and large… Kinda are REALLY BAD in my mind.
Now before you start arguing and rationalising this with some more rhetoric… You should realize that i was perfectly comfortable and happy for ANY of the characters save for 6-8 of them to make it.
And guess what? The 6-8 characters up for making it JUST HAPPEN TO BE the ones i really didnt want in… Imagine that…
Here i was thinking that if my characters did lose, well there would be a decent consolation prize in that the character they lost to was still a decent choice… But that logic has flown out the window. Right now its pretty much all or nothing as far as the characters go. If my characters make it in (and they are out numbered 2-6) then if they dont end up making it, thats all there is for me… I dont want to play any of the other characters.
Whereas i would have been happy with dick whip, taliesins ugly ass, ottomo,hubrecht,leduc,Beatrix… Etc etc etc etc…
…no… I will probably be forced to watch as minette or aeon makes it in…at which point there are 2 wasted slots as far as im concerned.
This is completely different than if sme other random character won that wasnt in my group.
And though i cant speak for others i have a feeling that they are thinking pretty much the same.
Tldr, no one is mad that their character didnt make it in.
We are mad that the characters that DID make it in are… Well saying the words would be mean.
Well guess what. I bet that if your characters made it in instead of those that are there now, an equal if not bigger group would be equally mad saying how crappy are those characters. The thing is, those who are not satisfied, are always the ones more vocal.
I can understand being dissatisfied but not openly angry/hostile because there is a bigger group of people that disagree with ones taste. This should simply stop.
Heck, I bet that if, for example, Umbrella, Annie, or pretty much anyone was chosen by the team, instead of there being a vote, there wouldn’t be as much shouting how crappy they are and lots of hype instead.
I already lost my top 2 and my bottom 2 is still in the voting (Isaac, Aeon) and most of the rest is in my bottom half of personal ranking, but who cares? It’s about making as many people satisfied and not about me. The game is already plenty good and it will loose nothing with Minette or Stanley in it. And who knows? Maybe I’ll end up liking Isaac and Aeon. Especialy that we know next to nothing about any of those characters.
Well, it’s up to you to get angry. But this still doesn’t change my stance that getting so hostile about it is stupid. Like I said before it was a chance. You knew this going in.
When some people (not necessarily you) start crapping on such characters it makes me shake my head. Think it’s a wasted slot or not, but this was still all done
to give Lab Zero work and get more characters in the game. If you’re telling me that none of the 3 other characters that are coming in don’t give you even an
inkling of wanting to try them out then I don’t know what to tell you at this point.
Dude, I’m pissed that Leduc/Feng/Scythana/Talesin didn’t make it in. I’m also pissed at the popularity of Beowolf and Minette. But do you know what you don’t see me doing? You don’t see me going on to every board, yelling about how the community is stupid and how fans are dumb, like you are. I’m respectful. Could you please do everyone else the same courtesy?
Cut out the bullshit guys, have enough faith in Lab Zero to make whatever choice actually gets voted in a fun and interesting character. If it weren’t for the majority Stanley / Beowulf / Moe legion that backed the game to begin with we wouldn’t even be having the opportunity to vote to begin with.
To be honest i didn’t really care much for minette, annie, or isaac at the start of the poll but they’ve kind of grown on me. Im confident that mike z and the team will make any character voted in play awesome. Hopefully one of my favorites(scythanna or feng) wins the second poll but if not then ill just keep an open mind and enjoy the other 4 characters that are being released.

LOL I thought it would be hilarious if the Top 4 were all girls, but never thought it would happen given all the support I’ve seen for Isaac, Stanley, Panzerfaust, and Beowulf.
I’m glad he at least was only 9 votes away. Gives him a good cahnce in round 2 especially that there will be a male push. I wonder if he would be in if people didn’t go for all that “tactical voting”.
