Magnicious, I talked to my buddy with the Supergun and he is going to let me borrow it for the tourney. It is wired up to a pair of HRAPs with full sanwa parts. I’ve got ST and Vampire Savior. If theres enough interest in VSav, i’d love to have a tourney for that as well.

This is excellent news. If anyone else would like we can just eject Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and replace it with Vampire Savior. However, we must have a unified rule list as I do not know of the rules with it. If anyone is willing to submit any then we are good to go.

The tv was really only going to be good for the dc really since no one cares about graphics so much on those. It is a pretty nice tv but the only output on the back is co-ax for some reason. It was free so I guess no bitching but it doesn’t make sense that it only has that and it’s not that old.
A tv is a tv! As long as you can see the characters it should be good.
but some tv lag. when we were over a friends house and he had one of those hdtv’s mvc2 was going slow as hell.

We can easily get through that. All the systems are going to hook directly into a VCR through coaxial OR AVs and then out from the VCR to the television through either coax or AV. That way, if your TV only has coaxial, you can hook up the VCR to the coaxial in the back of the TV, and then hook the video game machine through AV in the VCR’s AV inputs. It’s a neat way to make a converter box. That way, we can record all the footage from the games and you can also improvise if a television only has coaxial and a your video game machine only has AV and you don’t have an RF switch.
Yeah, HDTVs have lag time. CRTs (the old school tube TVs) do not. This can be kinda bad for fighting games but it’s epic proportions of fail for games like Guitar Hero where milliseconds of lag are crucial. Luckily, we are too poor to have LCDs there, ha ha ha.

Great, would we be able to hook up a VCR to it and then out from that to a TV. That way we could catch the pure game signal instead of having to catch it with the use of a camcorder for the DVD I am making of this event. Let me know whenever you get a chance.
