Does the Paewang get along with the MC Cthulhu? Will there be any conflicts in PS3 mode?
I wouldn’t recommend a dual mod with paewang + cthulu. Although it probably gets along just fine with the fact that they are both common ground to my knowledge
Hitbox= exact same thing. Does a pcb in a stick with sanwa buttons work with another stick that has sanwas? It will work, you probably did that grounds wrong.
I have a problem with the Datel Arcade Pro. I modded it with Sanwa parts and it works great in Xbox 360 mode. When I switch it to Playstation 3 mode, down-right doesn’t work, all other buttons and directions work. Does anyone have any ideas what I could do to fix this?
There is a Dan themed hitbox in the stick thread using a Paewang PCB. Maybe they do work after all? o_O
I didn’t quote you though!
That doesn’t make any sense. If down right works in xbox 360 it works on ps3 too. If you go back to xbox and it doesnt i can help you. probably just the gate.
Can’t tell if this has been asked already but how would you solder the turbo, home, start & back/select buttons, if I were to use a custom box?

What do you mean how do you solder same as anything else.

I’ve successfully modded my stick thanks to your tutorial and your awesome store. I figure it’s best to add my input for Mayflash 2009 modding. There’s slightly different instructions for installing the joystick. I suggest watching:

This video was linked earlier but I can’t stress how useful it is for Mayflash sticks in particular.
Also because I’m too stupid to think of the shipping costs from Korea… I ended up not purchasing the wiring harness.
Here’s the insides:

The wires for the buttons were recycled from a dead power supply. A daisy chain was done for the ground wire for the buttons. TBH I still regret skipping the wiring harness. It would’ve made it far quicker and easier to install.
Just be sure to cut the joystick’s PCB so that all of the ground connectors (proper term?) are no longer connected.

Here’s the outside:

Now I have a couple of questions for laugh:
- What’s the benefit of cutting the screw holes with an x acto knife? I’ve skipped that step and the installation went fine.
A bit of a disclaimer. This is literally my first stick. I’m a keyboard player so I’m not sure how the JLF compares to… a TE for example.
- Do you know how to tighten the snap-in buttons? I accidentally ordered two yellow snap-ins instead of screw-ins. I didn’t bother wiring them because I’m nervous of how loose they turn.
A big thanks again for the hard work on the tutorial. I’m enjoying my arcade stick.
- Cutting the screwholes just makes it easier to fit the gate on but I’ve found that if you can find screws with a flat screwhead, then there is not need to cut. Just make sure it is on tight enough.

- There isn’t any good way to tighten snap-in buttons other than some sort of glue. Really, it comes down to whether it is a tight fit or not in order to sit in without twisting.
Last time my friend help me to solder, but accidently burned the Ground on the PCB.
So, all my button not functioning
After that, i didn’t touch it long long time,
until last week, i search for another ground. N i found many,
the easy one for me, is the Pin on the Joystick. Since i didn’t use the harness for the stick, due to my is non-common ground, so just directly solder to the switches. I test it wit one button, n is work. Now just need to try again wit all button this week n solder it.
Really hope everything will be smooth for me.
Thanks for not helping me. So I’ll ask again. How do I solder the turbo home etc buttons. Most of my mods to this point have been solder less. I just want to be sure of the proper method to solder to that type. of connection point

Seems you missed these
the one that says like everything else doesn’t help me, because I’ve not soldered to Oxnard, let alone much at all.
And the other is another question (from what 500 posts ago) how does that help me?

I’m blur asking about the buttons or the joystick, I see that there is solder on those points already.
I’m asking about the home turbo etc. they see just gold patches, I’ve never soldered on they you’re of connection before and would like input on how to do it right. Please rather then multi quote a bunch of nothing, just help me out or keep silent. Thank you in advance who ever actually helps me.

Let me start by saying that I don’t expect help from anyone. Yet I know there are some ppl who are willing to take time and give sound advice. But if someone is going to answer I would hope it is to actually help. I’m not giving attitude and I apologize if I came off that way. I just don’t like, as would anyone else, being made to feel stupid. I did see the picture but I haven’t soldered that type of connection before. These boards aren’t cheap. I’d like to make sure I don’t have a $60 paper weight.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to reply to my posts.
Side note - I recently ordered some harnesses and some other misc modding items, it all came very quickly. I will come to eTokki again!

Apologies, I didn’t realize I didn’t quote the RESPONSE to that question - should’ve looked like this -
Didn’t mean to make you feel dumb.
Since you said you don’t have much experience soldering, check this out
Good luck.
Thanks for your help, I truly appreciate it!

So I wanna hook up a Wico P360 to a Datel PCB, for the +5v I solder to the point where the red wire of the USB cord is but for the ground do I use the ground from the directional points or from one of the point for the USB cord?
Yes. My mayflash finally completed!!!
All sanwa parts!!
solder the ground to the stick, now work perfectly.
thanks for the guide also. thx.
