I guess. Ill prolly just chuck the pcb and get a cthulu tho

Why chuck it when you can sell it? Laugh.

I live in winnipeg, ive had my te for sale for 100 bucks for 2 months and noone bought it.

Also: I can’t bypass shit all with joytokey or xpadder because mame reads both and gets confused, and no matter what i change the keys to the buttons never change

How does the PCB work for a Hit Box type controller in regards of pressing Left + Right or Up + Down?

Wow. I just realized i made a pretty big fool of myself. I was watching a mayflash video and realized the stock button layout is 5678 1234. durrrrrrrrrrr

Thanks a lot for this guide laugh. I’d like to mod my first stick, a Datel Arcade Pro which is simlar to the Mayflash. Since i’m a total ignorant in electronics i’ll follow this guide step by step, so I have some doubts; since I’m European I’ll buy from arcadeshop.de, where there are Crown 203C buttons and the JLF joystick used in this guide, but what wires should i get, preferably from arcadeshop.de itself, for both joystick and buttons?

Thanks a lot to whoever will answer and sorry for my English!

You would have to do a bit of dremelling but i would recommend sanwa instead of crown.

Are they that better? Thanks for the advice!

I have never tried crown buttons personally. But Sanwa are considered to be the best buttons in the world, and are much easier to find. Laugh only used them because he lives in korea (where crown is made.) You’re call, but I would recommend sanwa. Dremelling is not hard at all.

Just wondering, how easy would it be to get a Paewang PCB and put it in a MadCatz SE (PS3 version)? I have one laying around with Sanwa parts (OBSF and JLF) and it’s just sitting since I mainly play fighting games on 360 now, not PS3. Thanks

Although I’m putting everything from my mayflash stick into a rrod xbox 360, I want to throw in some leds (ps 14 kns). First of all, Is this even possible with the 2009 non common ground pcb? second: What exactly do you mean by source off that wire, connect the ground to one solder point and then like 8 more wires to the other?

Edit: I have a couple more questions, If i want it to me light up on press would i need hex inverters, and if so how would I configure them I have never worked with them. Also where would I put the necissary resistors, soldered directly onto the led pin, or somewhere in the wire?

Thanks

There are no visible deformities on the PCB itself. It’s also worth noting that when in Xbox 360 mode, the guide button can turn the xbox on, but after that it doesn’t register the controller. Perhaps it’s region locked? Any reports of this PCB working on American 360s?

As for the start, select/back, and home buttons, could I just use the buttons already included with the SE and solder them to the Paewang PCB? Thanks again. I’ve dealt with circuits among with other things before, just not soldering.

Thanks! But, I’m still having trouble. For the Start/Select buttons, it’s easy to solder to the Paewang PCB because I would just use the cables already included with the MadCatz SE. But for the Home and Turbo buttons, I’m a little lost since the buttons are directly connected to the MadCatz PCB. I’m looking at it and everything is labeled except for Home and Turbo. I searched this thread and there was someone who did the mod with their SE but it was a 360 version, not a PS3.

Thanks again

Good news and bad news. Good news is you won’t have to deal with the hassle of working with or home buttons, the bad news is that they don’t actually support home. You can get creative and just drill another hole in the side or something and solder it for turbo, and clear respectively. Srk is an extremely creative place make use of that.

What do you mean it doesn’t support the Home? How am I supposed to get access to the PS3/Xbox 360 dashboard when playing then? I have no problems with the Start/Select buttons, and I don’t mind using the select button as the turbo button as well since I’m only gonna use the turbo button so I can switch consoles. But I don’t get why Home isn’t supported.

Thanks jdm saves me on buying extra buttons/drilling holes, but I was going to buy a set of Seimitsus anyway

Oh I didn’t know the paewang had one sorry. The mayflash which is essentially the same thing but instead ps2/ps3/pc doesn’t have one.

I realize I posted in another thread about this, just dropping in hope that someone has had the same problem/knows what is causing it.
I’ve got some problem with my Datel Arcade Pro stick, which should use the same PCB as this one in particular, problem follows below:
If I plug it in to my PS3 with the turbobutton to switch the mode to PS3, down-right does not work properly.
If I then plug it into the PC without turbo, it recognizes a “Controller”, and if I try to calibrate it in windows it wont respond to down-right.
If I re-plug it in on my PC with turbo, it recognizes a “XBOX controller” and down-right does respond properly in the calibration panel.

What makes me abit more worried is that if I mod it, that was what I had in mind while ordering, it probably wont work with the ps3 afterall, and that’d be pretty sad
