Ok, thanks! Gonna rush to the nearest hardware store to get some wires tomorrow then! Gonna upload a pic of my stick once it’s ready!
Just put one of these in my VSHG.
Only thing is I wired it up wrong I think:
[]Square–Triangle–R1
[]X–O--R2
and when I plugged it into my laptop it shows in Xbox mode. R2 (RT) + L2 (LT) are now triggers not buttons and Home doesn’t work.
And I didn’t wire up the Turbo button.
Figures.
funny, i put one of these in my new VSHG last night!
i wired it up using the diagram on the first page but i linked select and turbo together, so that you can still switch between ps3/360 mode. it’s normal for r2/l2 (rt/lt) to show up as an axis when you plug it into the pc.
the home button will not show up under control panel, but if you have the microsoft drivers installed it will bring up the little green xbox logo overlay.
by the way, the layout for the face buttons is:
[] /\ L1
X O R1
L2 and R2 are the yellow buttons at the top.
I bought one of this from etokki and about to mod it to my hss-0130, the problem is that theres only 1 start button on the versus city panel I bought.
And I dont want to drill into the case of the vitrua stick pro. Laugh, I was wondering if you can provide me with a solution(a micro chip of some sort?) or dual wiring with AND gates in order to active both home/start/turbo button without addictional external modifications?
Thanks
but how will it work out when u press the start button? will it be very random?
They’ll just all activate
I imagine it could lead to a few interesting circumstances but, generally speaking it shouldn’t be a problem.
When i get mine this week im just gunna put the sel/turbo together to 1 button
I should have it this week i hope since i ordered it last monday and i live in canada
Has anyone had any further issues with certain modes not working or inputs not going in correctly? I’m interested in picking up a pcb in the future but I’m slightly worried due to previous users noting issues with them acting as such on occasion.
OK, I’ve been using and loving this stick for a while now (modded with JLF and Crown buttons) but I’ve just hit a big problem. The main ground wire to the PCB broke off during a match and the contact point is completely screwed. I tried soldering onto the underside of the PCB but that didn’t work. Are there any alternative ground points anywhere on the PCB, even if I use the one for the joystick or something?
there are actually 2 ground wires on the PCB, the main ground is the thin black wire, the resistive ground is the thicker black wire

Oh, I mean its broken off at the other end i.e. where you connect the signal wires to the PCB (the ground being on the far right). Can I just pick the glue off and solder straight onto the contact that the ground wire pictured connects to? Or use the underside of the PCB?
UPDATE
I got it; thank you. Just hope this one lasts…
yep, you can solder right onto the pads
Would you guys suggest this modification to someone with absolutely no modding/soldering experience? Im mainly interested in it because of the size. The dual system stuff just happens to be a bonus I guess. I’m rather garbage of a street fighter player. But this stick making stuff has really struck a high interest in me. (I also have all the wood working tools available and lots of free time since everyone got laid off!! QQ) So if anyone wouldnt mind lending their opinion it would be greatly appreciated!!!
I’d say it’s an easy board to solder to - big enough spots for buttons, and you can use a terminal for the directions if you keep the original cables.
I’d like to know exactly how B15 wires his stuff up. But I doubt he’d be willing to share how he does his stuff being as he sells them. QQ. Been looking for a full tutorial but ive had no luck.
Here’s my attempt at a tutorial. Hopes this helps anyone trying to do this and encourages people thinking about getting the Paewang!
Didn’t you end up with a really short USB cable once you put the Paewang PCB in? Or do you use an extension?
Small room. I’d carry an extension if I go out. I could do a Neutrik as well but I just wanted to get it done with and play.
Hi guys, I’m going to attempt to install one of these boards and just had a couple questions.
[] I’m looking for info regarding using LEDs with the Paewang board, (perhaps just general LED mod info)
[] On the first page, images #36 nad #37 show a custom harness used to wire to the inputs (I assume that last one is ground and splits off into all those gray wires so it can be distributed?) is the plastic piece that’s actually soldered to the pcb a specific part?

Just point me in the right direction if these are already answered, I may have missed them.
Thank you very much for the tutorial laugh, a friend and me just modded our Datel Arcade Pro sticks with Sanwa JLF sticks and OBSN-30 buttons and this thread was quite helpful.
For people on planning to do the same:
-you can easily shorten the screws of the old joystick with a pair of pliers, the screws are not hardened
-the OBSN-30 (screw-in) do fit, but it’s really tight. You have to expand the button holes from the center outwards.
