vs. Balrog, Ultra 1 Love Storm can interrupt most if not all half/fullscreen dash punches, probably on reaction. It armor breaks, so it tears up things like EX Upper as well.
It can even interrupt TAP, since the projectile is so slow and U1 has 10 invincibility frames.

Ultra 1 between the first 1 hits
Ultra 2
(AA version)

(Ground version)
EX Love during screen freeze, spacing dependent, beats it clean
Jump in combo during screen freeze if spacing is right
At full screen jump forward once land and do EX Love to beat it clean
At full screen jump forward once, block the second wave, dash forward twice to get anything
While experimenting with her mk dp fadc I found an interesting escape option for the corner. It’s risky obviously but, if you are in the corner and go for the dp fadc, and you land it, do an immediate St.hk and you will get 1 hit of the close standing hk which will glitch and do it the opposite way and you reset the opponent while swapping sides, putting them into the corner.
This guy gives you punishes to all of Blanka’s crap and you all don’t even like it? Daamn.
And you all are complaining about fireball characters a lot? Poisons fireballs recover pretty damn fast letting her gain space on a lot of fireball characters, and are any of you using EX Love Me Tender? It’s really about using your fireball to gain space baiting them into a battle, hitting them with that or EX fireball and cornering your opponent. (where poison can do a lot of pressure)
I mean we can AA most jump ins reacting to a fireball.
Our EX fireball is going to give us a little help over Gouken too…it’s not that bad.
Guile can be hard but a fireball war against Guile with any character is hard, but that doesn’t necessarily mean bad. Guile has to go back, it’s the way his character was designed. Creep him to the corner, matching fireballs with him, using EX to gain more space. Then use the LMT on reaction to a sonic boom to get a safe way in on guile, (it’s not going to punish, but it’s only -1 on block) And you have the advantage on a nearly cornered Guile.
Bison is annoying for her. He has better buttons and you don’t have much to respond with after LK scissors in the corner. None of your faster stuff reaches but his st.HK does. Also he can reaction EX Scissors your fireballs so you can’t zone him unless you’re full screen and if you keep backing up to full screen, you eventually corner yourself and end up in previous mentioned corner pressure situation. Also if you corner him, he can just EX psycho out and you can’t punish it with much. Same for teleport. I don’t know if she can do anything at all about teleport out mid screen on oki… maybe U1?
Also Evil Ryu is pretty hard. Can’t fireball war him, can’t get in, don’t wanna get rushed down by him. It doesn’t feel like there’s a good approach to fighting him.
For Evil Ryu, I find the fireball game to be pretty simple, not easy though. If you see a red fireball, you jump(straight up) after yours connects. You have options here, other than that it’s the same as everyone else. After your fireball connects you can also qcb k to hop over the red fireball if you did it early enough. If you make him whiff the red fireball you have the advantage. When he jumps anti air. Problem with him is the change in jump arc with dive kick, strangely enough I found the trick to beat it to just delay your crouch, still beats his other jumps as well. You just have to be careful. Once he’s in close you have to play footsies which can be rough, but I want to believe the match is pretty even.
The hardest fireball game is seemingly against Sim in my opinion. Motherfucker shows no respect. I have a tip though. Use Hp fireballs every once in a while, I found that if he tries to jump fierce(also beats other weird sim stuff), you get a free confirm off it. Obviously It doesn’t help you maintain your spacing too much if he doesn’t do anything.
CR.mp will beat s.hk after blocked LK scissors. Try it! cr.mp comes out in 6 frames and so does s.hk. Scissors is -1. And cr.mp has the range after 3 blocked cr.lks.
I also think Poison easily wins the fireball war against E.Ryu. He wants to be in.
I feel this will go most likely unnoticed since im new on the forum, but you cant ex rekka into U1 cody unless he is in the corner wich so far seems to be BnB for poison
No the range is ass and everything u can punish it with you can punish with super. Super has better range too and has tons of chip. Meaty hp fb, cr. Mk xx Reka, Reka xx super has crazy chip damage. I don’t thinks it’s a true blocks string between each hit in the super tho
Notice a few people have problem with Gouken so I will say a few things.
This is a match up easily 6-4 or even 7-3 in Poison favor
Gouken is incredibly strong in ultra far range and ultra close range when he has frame advantage, but very weak in slightly out of footies range and overall weak on wake up when you have frame advantage. So keep him just outside of sweep range or sit right on top of his ass. Don’t press button too much since his frame trap is god like. He has very strong punish so don’t do risky stuff like wake up reversal without read. Just block and tech. Their projectile has similar recovery time with Gouken, so neither can jump over each other safely, but Poison’s come out way faster, and Poison has EX Love me Tender to go through. Gouken doesn’t (Aeolus Edge come out way too fast for him to palm on reaction). Zone him in that range and you will overall dominate him long as you don’t become predictable with your projectile and be on point with Anti-air.
Gouken does a tone of damage, so be slippery. Most of Poison’s move are very safe against him, like Overhead and c.mk which out range most of his poke. Throw some EX Aeolus in the mix and he will be forced to stay away or get in, since you dominate him mid range. If he choose to stay away, just corner him, if he try to get in. Punish accordingly. Feel free to try throw him since he has only two throw invincible moves and both are hugely punishable on block. His jump in is also fairly bad compare to most character. Poison’s normal c.hp AA is reasonably reliable long as you time it right.
Notice a few people have problem with Akuma too,
Probably 5.5-4.5 in Akuma favor
Akuma has very little weakness, strong pretty much every area. Though your EX Aeolus is still faster than his fireball and Poison footise slightly outrange his, so keep him mid close range is still probably the best idea for Poison. Try and stay slippery. Practice DWU and block when he try to mix you up. Keep your EX bar stocked to apply pressure in footise game with FB. He will not be able to compete with Poison in that range since his recovery is much slower and he can’t really go over projectiles at all. If he want play keep away. Let him. Just throw FB at him and he will eventually land on one. Even if you eat two per one he eat you still come out ahead.
LMT is crucial in this match in my experience. Oh and using overhead is great for people that love going low of course. Make sure you follow up with a cr.lp into whatever if it hits late.
I can’t see this though, I think it is too early to tell but i can’t see it being advantage let alone a 7-3. I am not sure that that Gouken have a similar startup time fireball like Poison, just visually Gouken’s seems faster i think but i don’t know. I am too lazy to look it up tbh.
