Sagat is fucking stupid too honestly.
EX scramble armor breaks (low scramble Razor Edge Slicer and high scramble HP Break).
hp blanka ball can be punished with ultra 1, mp ball can be punished with ex edge
I just tested and the balls can only be punished by EX fireball in the corner.

Might be useful along with matchup breakdown. Note that in fireball wars Ryu’s Tatsu don’t go through AE.
And yes I think that reversal U1 punishes Blanka ball.
I’m having trouble vs Decapre the most, that slide she has negates fireball zoning completely.
So far Gouken and Sagat have been a bit of an issue for me. Both their fireball and close range optionsare good and Gourken doesn’t have issues getting in on Poison too much when he needs to.
Sim doesn’t seem too difficult, her slow fireball covering a lot of his limb attacks means he has a bit more difficulty poking her out as he would other characters without risk of a trade and her being able to follow up from it.
Hugo oh god I feel so bad when fighting Hugo, his size and her options from different levels of fireballs and mix of normals like far standing HK and crMP/HP are just too much for him to get passed easily if at all.
How are you guys dealing with Hugo’s running clothesline, when you’re meterless?
Can anyone link cr. LP from overhead on crouching T. Hawk?
I don’t think overhead combos may work on him.
I can confirm that s.LP works wonders against The Twins and Rolento, to stop their shenanigans. Doesn’t really help much if they’re already doing them though, it’s good for stopping the initial setups or lone divekicks. cl.s.HK also kind of works as an anti-crossup, timing can be a bit weird and the damage isn’t great but more tools are better than none
It’s a mixup if she doesn’t have EX.
LP Sting can be thrown. HP Sting can be interrupted with strikes.
MP Sting is projectile invulnerable, but depending on your meaty HP AE spacing nothing should happen to you. For example, forward throw, (don’t move), meaty HP AE- MP Sting will whiff, and you can get a free cr. MK xx EX WoL or sweep whiff punish.
Here’s my current (block punish) notes on D-Kappa.
Assuming you’re talking about EX Lariat, you can:
HK KBG interrupt. If done early, the initial hit may be absorbed, but the low profile keeps you from getting tagged and you hit for full damage.
Block and punish. It seems to be at least -6, I’m able to hit cr. HP. (cl. HP would probably work well.)
Big blockstun makes timing it kind of difficult though. (Funny thing, it’s big enough to fit in a leisurely reversal U2 input.)
You can neutral jump and come back down with nj. HP combo, but if you mistime it you’ll get smacked out of the air.
Regular Lariats seem very unsafe (sweep punishable).
I wouldn’t go for the n.jHP option. If he smacks you out of the air and has U2 on deck, he can land it off that.
Right now I’m either going for the block and punish, usually a back throw to switch sides or if you have u1 you can use that when he gets close.
From what i’m seeing Ryu’s jump ins absolutely demolish Poison. I get a trade at best, even then that’s only 25%ish of the time. His hurtboxes just don’t seem to care that you’re pressing a button. I am noticing he gets quite abused by LMT loops though, even on block.
Recorded Poison doing the combo and chose Elena and I’m getting the same thing, the first rekka will randomly whiff.
Annoying and if other character are having the same issue I guess it’s legit. Just use a shorter confirm imo, 3 hits is plenty of time.
I was doing cr.lk cs.lk st.mk xx ex rekka and dropped the 4th for no reason I can tell. Can’t replicate it so may be super rare but man thatd suck in a match.
How do I beat Adon I feel like I have no options?
Adon is tricky, poison goes air to air well against him and against derp jag kicks. Use j.hk and j.hp.
I feel like keeping he fireball on screen makes Adon’s life hard
How are you guys dealing with Hugo’s running clothesline, when you’re meterless?
I think I was grabbing him out of it earlier. It has too much ramp up when he gets to you so you can just … grab…
How do I beat Adon I feel like I have no options?
I think Adon is hard. He has no problem clearing clean over and or handling her fireballs. Jaguar tooth and Jaguar kick deal with some of your options pretty well.
I think this matchup will have to be extensively tested.
Also, Ryu’s jump ins squash your options. S.mp is the normal Ive had the most success with. Stupid fucking J.Rh.
