If you could make one change to the mechanics (no troll)

He does have an air dash. It moves in a diagonal motion. When he does his air dash, he shouts UNACCEPTABLE.

I would change the mechanics that make them not show us hitboxes.

I would remove X-Factor or significantly revise it. X-Factor, especially if activated outside of a combo, has a chilling effect on play. The person not currently using X-Factor has a strong tendency (not universal, I know some people still go in and mix it up or wait for a good chance to counter the opponent’s move) to just start doing jump-back blocking and waiting for X-Factor to end. This is usually about 10-30 seconds of no real fighting happening, and that is an awful lot of ‘dead time’ in a fighting game. I would just as soon see that go.

And their hit stun values. I can just imagine the rage over Wesker’s pistol/normals.

If they want to keep xfactor in so bad it should have a negative side effect.

25% bar to activate drains meter slowly.

Level 1 xfactor 30% less meter built
Level 2 60%
level 3 90%

This would also help with dark Phoenix slightly.

I agree completely TDP, and from what I’ve heard, XF changed MvC in a bad way. I’m sure not a fan of it, but I can’t say I like playing 1v3 just because I was randomed out by a X-Factor Wolerine double kill.

Question about your alteration: Would X-Factor be usable more than once?

Put a “pandora like” feature in xfactor which kills the character who activated it as soon as xfactor finishes.

Only picking one is pretty tough but I would have to go with…
Make all throws (aside from command throws) two button inputs with whiff animations. I don’t care how the fuck they implemented it (maybe make it L+S and make moves like drill claw H+S) but people mashing j.H the whole game until they randomly get an airthrow -> 100% is the dumbest thing ever put in a fighting game. I don’t care if that is how it was in MVC2 it should be changed in MVC3 (alternatively they could just remove any ability to combo off of any non command throw)

Just as I keep telling my brother who has a habit of pulling it out of thin air like it’s the coolest idea ever implemented in a fight game, Pandora Mode is absolutely stupid and will never be used. No offense if you like the idea.

The option to double tap the assist button to tag out instead of holding

and when your first character is eliminated, both buttons can be used for assists.

Remove the damage boost during x-factor and slightly increase the rate of red life you gain during activation of x-factor.

That’s what I thought it was going to be at first, then when I finally learned you actually had to hold that shit down I was like, “Seriously? Talk about wack ass control-schemes.”

I’d make TACs go back to their beta state, in which if you guessed a TAC correctly you’d turn the combo around instead of breaking their combo and doing shitty damage. Naturally that’d mean a larger counter window and the inability to mash directions so it wouldn’t be even more annoying.

Chalk up another for “remove TAC”.

TvC’s aerial crossover would be acceptable too.

Make X-Factor more about the abillity to cancel moves and negate chip then a comeback feature. Lower the damage of everyone by 25% then X1 is Vanilla MvC3 damage, X2 is X1 and X3 is X2

Remove TAC or make it cost a meter with no benefits but tagging.

Or maybe remove Phoenix, I don’t know

I’d still like to see the exact changes that were made to TAC before I make a call on it.

I personally would like to see all ground bounce/hard knockdown moves require actual timing to follow up on. They’ve changed a bit in UMVC3 for some things but generally I’m sure some characters are just going to get all day for no reason at all to convert shit off of hard knockdowns and ground bounces.

I actually like this idea it should have a downside to it

Supposedly this has alreadyy been inplemented into UMvC3.

I’d want X-Factor removed. It can’t decide if it wants to be a Roman Cancel, a Rage mode or K-Groove so it tries to be all of them at once. It’s too strong for how there’s little to no risk when using it and I hate how much sway it holds on the flow of a match.
