All Hail Megatron continues to get better. I haven’t read up on any Spotlight issues or Maximum Dinobots, though.

havent read maximum dinobots, but i fucking hated the new designs they gave grimlock and the rest. makes me wish the artist who designed them lost his hands, or better yet his arms for doing that. the scorponoc part was even shittierr IMO, didnt like the part about him working with humans at all.
Who said he was working with the humans? He was USING the humans to create his Machination.
Also the Dinobots’ designs are OK, they just look less squary and more round-ish.
Hell now that I think about it, Grimlock was just given more curves than his old look, while the rest look fine.
meaning they look like beastwars instead of real transformers IMO. it looks ugly as hell. if they cant top the old designs, dont show up with new and ugly shit. i cant stand those new designs. wtf was wrong with the old ones? they let shockwave stay the same, even scorponoc but fucking killed the dinobots. motherfuckers.

to each his own, i fucking hate it. you do realize that the style doesnt fit with the g1 designs at all right? but you probably couldnt care about shit like that. why not put optimus primal in it as well? it wouldnt look as out of place as grim and his fucked up design.

no? check out the transformers animal and dinobot models. then check out the beastwars ones. then check out the new grimlock and tell me where he belongs more. dont think he belong in either, but sure as hell not G1. and the rest of the dinobots seemed even worse from what i remember. not hating btw, just my thoughts about how they look.

Just picked up volume 1 of All Hail Megatron, got it @ Border’s book store for 40% off.
I haven’t been able to keep up with all the issues so I’ve been waiting for this day to come. I love this series but I have some questions:

Why do the Decepticon’s act/talk like they’ve never been on Earth before? Mixmaster’s telling Megatron about the type of soil we build on and it sounds like he’s unfamiliar with it.

Why do the humans act like this is the first time they’ve encounterd Transformers? I caught the part where the CIA agent is debriefing Col. Witwicky and telling him how they’ve spent a lot of money and time on covering this up, but come on, how the fuck do you dismiss giant transforming alien robots from the entire world? Are you telling me that Transformers are restricted to American soil only?

Why the fuck is Ravage drooling? Page 8, panel 2. It’s bad enough he look’s like Tony the Tiger, but drool?
Otherwise, I’m really enjoying the series. I like how they don’t even dive into the problems the Autobot’s are facing until the fourth issue. I love Guidi’s art style, especially how he uses such varying facial expressions (besides that evil fucking grin on Megatron from the movie). I don’t know if I prefer his style or Don Figeroua’s TF style - both rock.
The only thing Guidi’s can’t draw are humans. Well, he can but their faces all look the same. I also (oddly enough) really liked seeing Kup taking charge of the situation.
And where’s Grimlock and the Dinobots???
I’ve been enjoying the series but I can’t answer any of your questions lol! Though I’m not really familiar with IDW’s Transformers continuity so not sure how to answer 1 and 2… As for 3, maybe it’s like anime where robots have magic beads of sweat on their foreheads when they have no sweat glands! Hey I tried… :wonder:
Can’t say I’ve seen the sweat beads yet, but it’s probably not too far off.
Does anyone know where I can find a hi-res or really large version of the AHM Megatron Revolution image? You know, the really cool one with the side profile and the jets in the background? I’d love to get that screen printed for a t-shirt.

One other question regarding this series: Why do they always fall back on the “Mirage is a traitor” idea? This is like the third of fourth time I’ve seen this idea come up. Why is it always Mirage?
Mirage has never been 100% behind the Autobot cause.
The IDW series does NOT follow the 80s G1 continuity; it is its own continuity. Still I don’t recall seeing the Constructacons prior to AHM, BUT if they have been on Earth in previous story arcs of IDW’s series then maybe they were expecting some areas to have different soil properties than other areas, that or they didn’t have the time to inspect the soil of Earth more properly.
Well the Cybertronians have done their BEST to remain low profile as much as possible, and in the previous arcs most activities were seen in the US. There was an arc where Megatron started a battle in Russia but I doubt the Russians would leak this info to the world let alone the US

Just to share a little something, ever since Beast Wars I’ve treated Cybertronians as bio-cybernetic living beings IE half machine half ALMOST biologic, it helps explain some stuff that would otherwise be totally weird for a robot

I didn’t know that but I guess it would be foolish to think that another comic book company would follow the general canon story developed 25 years ago. Maybe I’m missing out on some really good TF stories then? I like Megatron Origin but that’s the only other IDW series I’ve read.

Hmmm. I’ve been watching the previews for that series but never gave it thought to maybe picking it up. I’ll probably wait until it hits TPB then.
Can’t wait to see how AHM turns out in the end. I’m sure the Autobots will win, but this series is about the bad guys winning after all. What issue are they up to now? This TPB covers the first six issues.
Some of the 80s Marvel TF comics have been collected by IDW, give them a read if you can.

As Deus Ex Machina as that is, it seems that Hot Rod’s signal from Maximum Dinobots reached OS and he went to Cybertron to help out his buds.
Anyway, Starscream turns against Megs, but he ain’t alone; the Insecticons and Constructicons are on his side! …but even that wasn’t enough to take down Megs; Megatron WITHSTOOD DEVESTATOR’S ASSAULT! HE BEASTED DEVASTATOR AND HE STILL WANTS MORE!

Spotlight Jazz and Drift were pretty good too, though…there sure are some giant aliens in the IDW TF universe XD.
