Id like to replace the music on the TvC disc. Anyone want to help figure this out?

this is off topic but i didn’t want to make a new thread.

but, has anyone been able to extract the character sounds from the gallery? there’s a lot of ringtone potential!

Oh yes, this black screen happen to me in a usb loader.
You have to use a Partition Builder 1.1 instead of the one that came with Wiiscrubber.

I guess I forgot to mention that, Here’s a nice tutorial explaining how use it. My version loads correctly now.

What would change here is replacing the files in the ‘US’ Folder, before rebuilding

I’m not sure about the source sounds, but someone has made high quality recordings of character voices from Dolphin

i place as my training stage

If anyone downloaded my ‘updated’ list, I uploaded the wrong copy, Here’s the fixed list

If you have any problems, be sure to let me know, because custom music should help a little to keep the community alive.

By the way, I like seeing other people’s custom tracks

I got a few questions: what do I do with the .wav files that are produced after the .dsp files has been made? Cut them into the song list folder, too?

Just delete them because you only need the .dsp files.

Okay, I have all the SSD files I want ready. I think I all that’s left is Wii Scrubber… I am stupefied at what it’s telling me to do! I don’t understand what I need (besides the ISO, which I already have). Anyone care to explain all that I need to do next just so I can finally get my custom soundtrack on the new disc?

first you open the iso in wii scrubber extract all original files as unencrypted.
then you replace those files with the custom files you made using the tutorial posted earlier in the thread.
Make a partition with partition builder version 1.1.
Load original iso in wii builder and export new partition unencrypted.
Burn new iso.

The thread should make in more clear but those are the basic steps.

Thanks. I’ll let you know all know how it goes!

just replace the files in wii scrubber thats what i did, find your original iso but before you do that make sure you make a copy like they say to do just to be on the safe side, open it, click on the tree symbol, then snd, stream, us, then find the stage, right click and replace it :), then you can extract the files and blah, blah, blah on burning it lol, i prolly did the long way of replacing but it work for me, cuz i tried doris version on replacing the file and it was a no go  but i prolly did something wrong following his guide, but it help me alot though cuz i was clueless on this but i got it to work and now im enjoying my mixes

Yes! I got my music replaced! Thank to all you for your help!

Putting the files in the same directory was the key.

Tip: If you decide to make you own custom soundtrack, pay attention to each song’s duration. The title screen song (if you decide to change it) should be around 0:28-0:30 long. Songs at the title, stage and character select screens can be whatever length, but the songs should have a nice start to it. VS load screen is about 0:15 long. I recommend each stage should have a song at least 4:00 long, just to fit the clock as is runs down from 99 to 0 for real matches. If the song is shorter than that it will probably fade out or end by 30 seconds left on the clock, but it will be better if the short song doesn’t fade at the end.

Riivolution was released recently, I might see if I can make an XML patch so people don’t have to constantly remake ISOs for custom music.

From what I understand, you can run patches without Homebrew stuff and all you need is an SD card.

I’ll look into it. First, to see if I can eliminate the file size limit. Secondly, to see if anyone without Homebrew can have Custom Music.

EDIT: Delving further into research, Riivolution is booted by an Exploit called Bannerbomb (for those without homebrew)
I most likely can’t speak about Homebrew, but I’ll provide a XML patch for those who can use Riivolution

Oh, so you got it to work? You’re a genius, man.

I didn’t get to test it extensively, and it doesn’t look pretty, but It works and is much faster and convenient than ISO writing.

Here’s the XML Patcher.
The only thing required is the knowledge about running Riivolution which I can’t help with, Sorry.

From the Read Me.

Copy 'tvcuasriivo.xml' into the main Riivolution Folder

Copy 'STKE.xml' into the Config Folder inside the Riivolution Folder.

Create a folder 'tvcuas' in the Root of your SD Card

Put all your custom music files into 'tvcuas'

Boot Riivolution and go to 'Launch'

Play Tatsunoko vs Capcom Ultimate All-Stars with Custom Music.

@ MGF

You are a beast sir. Thank you for saving me a ton of hard work. This way, we don’t have to burn another one if we want to swap the songs out.

Cool, thanks! I’ll be sure to give this a try later today because I have to make another custom soundtrack or two.

hmm does anyone else’s music play slow using the riivolution, or is it just me

I think with Riivolution you can load files from a USB drive also as long as it’s FAT32. I hope that helps.

To anyone else, be sure to run Riivolution on the retail disc, as a burned disc has a different BGM.SRT and SSD files.
This will definitely cause compatibility problems between the coinciding files.

Edit: Looking at my wording and what I meant to say is that you should play custom music from one medium.
I think you can use Riivolution on a burned disc, but you should not attempt to have some music playing from the disc and the others on Riivolution.

hmmm i guess i cant use the riivolution, its weird, at first my music was playing slow, now they dont show up anymore whenever i go to riivolution
