Hi, if MGF or anyone else still happens to have the original tutorial (and its files) that were posted in this thread would it be possible for you to upload it? The link in MGF’s post is down.
Thanks!
Hi, if MGF or anyone else still happens to have the original tutorial (and its files) that were posted in this thread would it be possible for you to upload it? The link in MGF’s post is down.
Thanks!
I’ve updated the tutorial into a simpler, more efficient way of changing the music.
It’s much faster and it gets rid of the temp files.
Awesoooome. Thanks!
Thanks for that, it works now. Now I need to experiment with the soundtrack so it doesn’t drown out the sound effects and look at looping.
I’ve got my custom soundtrack working as well, sound is perfect! Here’s my tracklist:
Wasteland - Neo Human Casshern '73
Yatterman’s Workshop - Yatterman '77
Washinkyo, Amehon - Street Fighter III 3rdS / Alex & Ken Stage
Galactor Base - Gatchaman no uta
Burning Wasteland - Karas OST / Karas
Les Vagas - Rival Schools On the Rooftop of Taiyou HS
Daigo Temple (Cherry Blossoms) - X Men vs Street Fighter / Ryu
Gesellschaft (Clear Skies) - SNES Megaman X Medley
Aensland Castle - Night Warriors / Morrigan stage
Uncharted Region of China - Street Fighter tribute album / Chun Li
Daigo Temple (Moonlight) - Hurricane Polymar '74
Gesellschaft (Storm) - MegamanX4 & MegamanX6 medley
Orbital Ring Systems Cargo Bay - Megaman X4 / Jet stingray
Willamette Parkview Mall - Hokuto no Ken / Shin
Training Stage - TVC:UAS Jap training stage (shoryucan’t)
I’ll post some vids later with it. Many thanks to Eidrian for all his help & support!
EDIT: some videos with the custom soundtrack (lol spanish)

I guess there is no way to do this on a Mac?I need to get bootcamp quick.
Someone needs to put the Polimar intro theme on there:

EDIT: Nevermind, got it. I had to run through 4 dvd-r’s before I nailed it. For those of you confused by the Wiiscrubber part, here’s how it works:
Wiiscrubber Tut
Make a brand new folder. Put the iso of TvC in there, and make a new folder named “extract” and another new folder named “partition.”
Open up your fresh iso of TvC
Right click on the very top level of the iso (partition 0), then select “unencrypt” and then “extract.” You want to put whatever you’re extracting into the “extract” folder that you made earlier.
Go to your “extract” folder and navigate from “snd” to “stream” to “us.” Take all your modified ssd files and your bgm.srt from MGF’s awesome tut, and paste/overwrite it into the contents of “us.”
Go back to Wiiscrubber, and press the little “-” signs of the iso and look for partition.bin. Right click on this, and extract it to your “partition” folder that you made earlier. Do the same thing for boot.bin, bi2.bin, apploader.img, and main.dol. In total, you should have 5 files now in your “partition” folder.
Open up PartitionBuilder, and plug each of the five files from Step 4 into the corresponding slots in PartitionBuilder–i.e., the first slot labeled “Partition.bin” would need the partition.bin file you placed in the “partition” folder.
5.a. For the last, bottom slot in PartitionBuilder, you want to select the folder “extract.” Press the button to build the partition (you can put the file anywhere).
Then go back to Wiiscrubber, right click the uppermost line (should be partition 0), then select “unencrypted partition” then “load” then select the partition that you made earlier in Step 5/5a. This will probably take a while. Go make a sandwich or something.
Your iso is now officially done. Now just use a burning utility (like ImgBurn) and burn it do a disc, and play it.
Here’s the thread at GBATemp that I followed initially, but some parts were kind of vague. Hopefully I managed to clarify any vague parts in the GBATemp tut.
But damn, custom music is pretty amazing. This game is now much more enjoyable than it was before. The stock music was kinda bland. Here’s my tracklist:
Wasteland - Guile’s Theme (OC Remix)
Yatterman Workshop - Rising Sun, Okami
Washinko, Ameyon - Pursuit: Cornered, Phoenix Wright Cadenza
Galactor Base - Target, Macross Frontier
Burning Wasteland - Nemesis King Koopa, Super Mario Galaxy
Las Vegas - Deja Vu, The World Ends With You
Daigo Temple (Cherry Blossoms) - Yellow Valkyrie (OC Remix), Metroid Prime 3
Gesellschaft (Storm) - Passing of the Blue Crown (OC Remix), Megaman 3
Aensland Castle - Beyond the Bounds, Zone of the Enders 2
Uncharted Region of China - Opened Path (Shadow of the Colossus)
Daigo Temple (Moonlight) - Fountain of Dreams (Melee)
Gesellschaft (Storm) - Eddie vs. Millia, Still in the Dark, GGXX
Orbital Rings - No Limit, Basquash
Willamette Parkview Mall - Live and Learn, Sonic Adventure 2
Training Stage - Funky Bar, Beyond Good and Evil
Main Menu - Feedback, GGXX
Stage Select - Serious, Mother 3
Character Select - Ranking Up, No More Heroes 2
Vs Screen (Pre Battle) - Game Start, Megaman 2
I’m really, really glad that I don’t have to deal with the stock music anymore. Props to MGF and everyone else at GBATemp that figured this out. It’s pretty amazing, haha.
I tried this a few times but I keep getting a “bad” partition. Any ideas?
It’s supposed to be a bad partition, I think. The weird thing is, after I finished, Wiiscrubber had the iso labeled as a bad partition, but I burned it anyways, and it plays fine.
is there a way to get custom soundtrack without hacking or isos?
Nope.
Having a slight problem now. I have 13 songs working fine, but I can’t get the songs I chose for Mall and Training to play and I did everything correct as instructed by MGF. Instead, what I get is a looped version from start to end of the original disc songs. Part of me is thinking it’s because of the song length of the 2 remaining ones being 6 minutes and the other 9 minutes, the others are between 3:30-4:30 minutes and they work fine.
It can’t be the program because people seem to be getting these to work fine. If anyone could help though, I would appriciate it.
I’m having similar problems with the orbital rings, mall, and training on my friend’s SD card.
I’ll look for any oversights when I can. There are several variables I need to look at, but I use Riivolution 1.00/SDHC/Other things.
It’s a bit strange, because when I use USB Loader, it works fine. Interesting
Just some stuff I’ve figured out…
In my experience, you will get the best sound quality from 44.1khz, 160kbps MP3s, 128k works fine too.
This is using the BRSTM to SSD----->Riivolution method.
I tried looping songs the same way you do for Brawl, but this game has different rules for setting loop points.
For example, I set the beginning of the loop to start @ 401408, and end @ 1984852.
It skipped ahead approximately 100k on the starting point for some reason, so I added that to the starting and ending points, and now its darn near perfect. I can’t nail it down, because I don’t know the number the loop points have to be divisible by for SSD files.
Just an F.Y.I. Use the Brawl looping method, then add 100K to the starting and ending points and it will be pretty close to perfect.
I need that number… :arazz:
I still can figure this out…why cant someone develop code for easier Music Swapping via Homebrew OCARINA APP
buch of videos on youtube showing how far you can Hack a game
I’ve see just about everything when it comes to Brawl Stage, Music & Texture Hacking,
but this one just takes the Cake!!!
SUPER TATSUNOKO VS CAPCOM BRAWL!!???

Even though I changed the loop starting and ending points, the loop still begins at the same spot. I wonder if all the starting loop points are static?
Does anyone have any info on this?
That is very interesting…I wonder if we can put custom stages in this game, provided they are the same length?
Marvel stages in TvC, Capcom vs SNK stages… or just straight up custom stages.
Yeah, I went ahead and loaded the iso through NeoGamma and it worked. So the bad partition is not an indication of failure
Now maybe I’ll play with some riivolution or ocarina stuff.
I keep forgetting to post here. Thanks again for the updated tutorial, MGF, it really made custom soundtrack building a lot easier!
If anyone is still Iso Writing and has the “File is too big to load into partition” error, you can change the partition size.
Right click the partition in Wiiscrubber and click “Resize Partition” and change it to the max value.
You can load a much larger partition now and it will still play.
As long as it generates interest in the game, It’s cool. My friend is now buying a copy of his own, too.
Thanks again MGF. The Riivolution method is very easy to setup.
For a while I kept getting very static-y songs on some stages, but not others. This was happening because I didn’t put the bgm.srt in the folder with the songs.
Once I did that, they all sounded perfect. The thing is it won’t let me set loop points. It will let me set an end point, but not a starter…weird.
