I think it was done for fairness sake, since the Tatsu characters couldn’t get their themes, they decided to play it fair and not have the Capcom characters keep their themes (save for Roll who gets hers in her end credit mini-game).
that’s a bit silly, you would think that if they were allowed to release a game with the characters in it at all in the US then their theme music wouldn’t be a problem… International copyright laws are weird as hell
I’ve done this already, shoot me a PM.
I can also imagine Tatsunoko doing a silly demand such as this to keep it ‘fair’. However, I definitely prefer the original songs over the new one. It’s safe to say that some of us do prefer it.
Try uploading a video with your results
Often times, in anime, the rights to the songs are split between the original creators and the record company.
Okay, I will record and upload the video later today (Sunday).
I’ll also write the tutorial.
It’s not perfect, but it works.
Sick, can’t wait!!
Oh nice, me too, let’s see what you’ve got
Sorry for the delay.

Nice! Now all that is needed is 1)the method XD, 2) Looping the songs properly.
Suddenly I miss DC MvC2 change music method :(, so easy…
Gonna make a new thread with the tutorial…
For those who are experienced at it by now. Is it possible to make the music change upon characters entering the match during a tagout just like CGoH, or OG Marvel-esque tag games.
Example Venom switches out to Strider and Strider music plays?
As far as we know, it’s not doable.
I just wanted to confirm that custom music, Your own music, can now be used in Tatsunoko vs Capcom UAS.
The process is a little tedious and involves a tool I can’t provide but it works. Can’t provide tutorial for now, but maybe later.
Songs loop correctly, and about the volume depends on the song, but I tested it in Dolphin
If you can use WiiScrubber, Here’s some of the songs I’ve changed to provide samples.

Replaces Galactor Baze to Infinity Mijinion, Burning Wasteland to Live Evil,
Orbital Space Systems to King Blue’s Space Station, and Willamette Mall into Objection 2001
Your wav files need to be 16bit mono, I recommend Audacity to split stereo tracks, which can be combined later.
Dori already gave us the method to do it in his own topic here a few days ago.
The majority of us thought it was an over-complicated and tedious process for something that ultimately isn’t worth it. If we can’t make the music change like in CGoH, then what’s the point?
good info man, I’ll have to do some reading.
And obviously the point of replacing the songs is if you don’t like the new music from UAS
edit: and wow the method they use in that thread is pretty much the same thing that I did
Are you serious?
We just got Custom Soundtracks, and you’re complaining that because it takes some work it’s not worth it?
Really?
I hate it when songs change every 4 seconds in a match because of characters switching around, honestly.
I loved that about CGoH. It was like a battle within the battle. It was like your own personal bonus points if you could win a match with your character’s music going in the background.
…and i’m sorry if my opinion upsets you, but if I can’t have the music change like in CGoH, then a custom soundtrack is pointless for me.
Does anyone know what the deal is with the Japanese version of UAS?
I can’t see why they’d change the music in that one. If they didn’t, I’m gonna go grab it.
