We can do a meaty c.LK after LP raida. It can link into s.LK, then back into raida or Kazegiri
should be close to 100% stun setup with kunai release, only 1 reset. this setup probably wont work on anyone in higher ranks though
add:
OH BOY WE GOT SOME SHIT.
st.mk - st.lk into dash after kunai is almost perfect timing for bomb explosion. you can cross up into another setup without doing ghetto lmp into lmp
look at this shit https://gfycat.com/PreciousLivelyHyena
tested on myself, EX dp traded, super got fucked, any button gets fucked. only holding up saves you from setup but who gonna hold up mid bomb setups…
without counterhits only 944 stun, couldnt make more.
add2:
even more fucked up in corner. left right left right have fun guessing lol
I messed around with the above majorboy tech and the lk kasumigake cross under seems to be character specific. I couldn’t cross under Chun or Gief but it worked fine on Mike, Ryu and Cammy.
I tried different timings on the j.mp but I still couldn’t dash under chun.
you are minus after dash anyway, i dont see a point
Yeah looks ridiculously unsafe. We need an ex command grab.
not everyone is gonna mash jab after it lol, especially if you establish the combo ender of hk dash lp mk after the ex kunai.
if you have vtrigger its possible to go into a mix up / reset setup that does 1k stun off of one ex bar
Im honestly more concerned about the timing of the slide and how unsafe can it be on block than the crossup. And the crossup loses to mashing. It doesnt eve look like ibuki can block m normals on time
the slide one I dont see a use for, but i can see a ton of people getting hit by the dash mix up
I guess the slide hits meaty so it would beat out mashing, but it seems to me like the vast majority of people would be down backing after the reset anyway
Has anyone noticed you can’t “hop” over a rising opponent after knockdown using f.HK now? Or is it just my timing?
ye you cant
Damn. Was nice to use now and then. Oh well.
Majorboy doesn’t give a shit. He’ll do something that’s unsafe and just figure you haven’t seen it before or will choke up to it any way. Hell he’s gotten away with murder with those s.MK, 1st hit sweep target combos because NOBODY remembers to tech after the sweep to stop the mix up. If you don’t tech (which honestly is hard to react to, you have to know he’s going for it), you get put in a hard knockdown.
He’s definitely the Marn/Luffy of Ibuki players. He’s just full steam and hopes you don’t know what’s going on. Which you probably won’t or slip and not react. 38F jump and no frame 1 DPs means he’s going to go back to jumping a lot too.
i wonder does he ever enter tournaments? i swear i havent seen him once
He has, he just doesn’t go to a lot of them. A lot of the would be top Japanese players are just doing the online warrior thing until the arcade version releases I think.
I have to admit st.mk is a damn good button now. Like super good!
Because Ibuki’s CA is i5 just raw st.mk is an easy confirm like Ken’s new cr.mp. It got buffed into v-trigger cancel from +8/+10 to +10/12 on hit/ch respectively so the link into cr.hp for max damage is natural now. Easily the best v-trigger cancel button without kunai now. Because its not a rapic cancel button its easy to confirm if it hit into kazekiri after just throwing it out.
The only thing I don’t like is the pull in effect cr.mp has on hit. I preferred the more non true kunai blockstring it provided where you could catch people pressing buttons which could confirm into ex.raida at the right ranges. Confirming into v-trigger so as not to waste the confirm on block was easier too. Now for it to be a nontrue blockstring it has to be at the most optimal max tip which is highly unlikely in a real match. St.mk tc free kunai reload is on a character by character basis now. Better than before. Regular 1 kunai reload and Ex kunai 3 kunai reload are the same speed.
Personal opinion on tiers is that she’s definitely a top 8 character, top 5 very likely, top 3 quite possible but pushing it. Really depends on how good Urien, Guile, Juri, Ken, Karin, Cammy, Akuma are in particular are. Ken actually got better than he was before lol. Just the scrubby air tatsu, ex air tatsu effect is gone as is iall an ex cannon spike. He’s actually much better on the ground. Ryu who I thought was highly overrated fell off the map in S2. Cammy is basically just as good or better than she was before minus the ex air bullshit. Karin is better than she was before especially since all she ever lacked was an anti air and she got it. Akuma is ridiculous but thankfully his health is low. Urien is ridiculous. Guile is ridiculous. Juri definitely got way better but still has to give up momentum and turns for stock and v-skill. With all that said Ibuki is so f’in good now. So good!
Is it just when you dash that determines cross or non cross?
I think it’s that and also how you delay the tc. I’m still not consistent in crossing under yet so can’t really say where the problem lies.
its definitely timing of tc. its similar to my old bomb reset with j.hp. depending on how late you hit it its cross or not
spacing also plays role since hitting with tip means less distance covered by dash. but mostly its timing
