In the Cammy matchup (or in general, rather), if you notice your opponent being wayyyy overly agressive, such as random jumping, double/triple dashing to close space, random SA and random CStrike, etc. I would recommend you play as defensive as possible and let your opponent kill herself. Do not bother pushing any buttons unless it is on reaction to something your opponent does (eg: antiair vs jumping) or unless it is relatively very safe, such as far.st.LP, not things like random slide or jumping. Slowing down the match as much as possible not only betters your chances against these types of reckless players, but can also frustrate them as well.
A little patience and a demonstration of solid spacing and zoning would have gone a long way toward pwning this random Cammy player.
Anyway in order to play my mate at the machine I had to kick off this other player who ate two of my credits with Zangief, and Dictator. Beat his main (Claw) and his real secondary (Boxer) pretty easily. Looks like though I still have issues with defending Zangief Okizeme, but like Blanka is like the worse the player is, the harder the match-up is. I can’t win this if they don’t play footsies… I need to know what forces Zangief to play footsies because his jump-in beats Ageman (making me use cr.Fierce).
Battered him in the end though once I downloaded his flowchart Dictator. Ugh. Off-topic: At least the Ice-Skating was hella fun =D/success
RekkaTEC?! =) I gotta play him again, I feel like I’m confident now that I’ve played against the best Seth in the UK. (regional competition) – Sorry I got back so late that I couldn’t play you tonight. Next weekend maybe.
Yep, after a few matches I noticed how agressive he was and stopped mashing (didn’t upload the victories though). Cammy is one of my personal worst matchups (don’t speak about the twins, I’m speaking about real characters) because it requires everything I suck at: defense, reaction and patience. I added him anyway because I feel like playing against him will really help me improve my defense a lot.
I really have to work on my reactions, for now I always go for offensive because I am often very frustrated because I decided to play defensive and lost a round I could’ve raped him if I decided to rush =)
Played him quite a bit a very long time ago (around September?) before AE hit I believe. I got absolutely destroyed, I think the matches are on YouTube or something. I’ve been looking to play him again for quite some time.
It’s almost always a good idea to play defensive in the first round so you can get as much data on your opponent as possible, although if you’re playing in Tougeki you should do what Iyo does and go on offense straight away. =)
Yeah I know how much he’s improved, he’s been one of my favourite players for a while now.
Defensive play is really the only reason I continue playing this game. I love the way Kuroda makes the game look and I want to recreate that with SF4 (even though it’s very unlikely). Currently I’m watching him get into this game with Ryu, and it looks almost possible.
I guess the only reason why I like playing against people who aren’t any good on AE PC is that I always try to end the round with either Raw Yoroitoshi or Raida.
– Speaking of which, for the past 2-3 weeks I’ve only played on Sundays and Tuesdays. It’s really difficult to balance time to play this game these days. =( I haven’t played you in almost too long now.
It’s really up to you guys to help me find out what to add to the ver.2012 update that’s new. I’ve realised that even veterans like F-Word have been benefiting from it (secretly), so I can’t have it just be a beginner’s guide. Almost every English speaking Ibuki player knows about it so all the details have to be accurate and helpful. There’s just no way I can do that on my own.
Nah to problem with that is there’s too much content to include, so what I’ve done is write a Reference Series for the Rev.3. (Though I’ll have to re-do the first video because Ryu’s HP Shoryuken is going to change, but Kaz sent me all the raw files so I can just edit that section out).
I think what needs to be shown in video ought to be. Although if you’re willing to spend time writing up a general guide to cover all topics I’d gladly follow it.
Oh and Mingo, no more “Pics or It Didn’t Happen” okay? We can’t exactly help these forums if we expect each other to B.S. whenever something interesting happens like playing Ryan or something. People look to us for solid and trustful information when it comes to help with Ibuki.

Hmm I should upload something here, but I don’t want to ask my friend to record my Arcade matches, and I have manners not to upload Casual matches with notable players.
Hey Damascus, is your Arcade scene in Paris? I could go over there and maybe we can play lagless etc.
Well when littlesushi did well against Momochi, you were also cynical about that too.
Not sure about pwning Umehara, but having a large night out at the whole of London will always have a checkpoint at the Arcades. I’d hardly but those on the same level of likelihood. (assuming you saw the picture)
… Mind if I cheat on her with you? lol j.k.
I don’t think people would prefer a thick Japanese accent over a posh British one. Just saying.
Apparently there was a tournament on the 3rd December, and I said I had no clue it was on. Good thing I didn’t know either 'cause that was my night out.
There’s no WSO this week as I have just found out. sigh I’m going to have to play some Xbox LIVE to get some videos posted. The only problem is that the last time I played against a good player it took forever to find one. I don’t think wins should be posted in this particular thread, this is the “Ibuki bleeds” thread.
Yeah okay, I’ll stay up long enough to get some games in.
Instead of pwning randoms on XBL with hidden Ibuki tech, try playing a new character and/or downgrading your gameplay. eg: don’t go on the offense or pressure your opponent on knockdown, etc.
Nah Ranked is more fun (I went offline so their Gamertags didn’t show up, but the Adon was 9000BP and the Blanka was about 4500BP):

lol

I hate it when TC4 whiffs on Blanka. BTW I love how them trying to anti-air the High Jump loses to a normal jump.
These were in my bro’s room so you might hear snoring. Sorry I got hella bored so I gave up. Went against a good Cammy (7th on XBL) but it was just st.Roundhouse mix-ups into each other ftw, both matches.
Yeah, and if you go to the local Arcade center you’ll have a chance to meet Starnab or Cuongster who are there on a regular basis. Moreover the ranking is on, and there will be a tournament each Wednesday for three more weeks (so tomorrow evening I’ll be back here crying again because I lost )
Now my personal objective is to beat a top player at one of these rankings. I could take some rounds to Cuongster online, but IRL tournament conditions are wayyyy different (especially their sticks)
Beating people with Ibuki doesn’t mean anything to be honest, that’s why I don’t feel like I need to prove anything to anyone. I mauled Fillipino Champ in tournament 2-0, does that mean that I’m better than him? Hell no, that guy is amazing and I’m ass.
By the way, does anyone know how Capcom is going about distributing 2012 in the arcades? Apparently there’s this random arcade opening up like 15mins from my house with AE machines and a bunch of other Japjap fighters.
Also, Skyrim owns face. Haven’t touched SF since Skyrim came out. I expect to go 0-2 at SoCal Regionals lol.
Some people have privileged families, and some have worked part-time since 16 (I don’t know if you can do this in America). I’m going to start spending money to travel all over Europe next year since there’s bloody nothing to do these days. It helps to save a lot when you’re young, so being a student gives you so much free will.
Yeah to be honest, I don’t think Ibuki is a good character at all. I mean we can be amazed at 1-frame links or HJC execution, but all of her set-ups are just unfair. Kind of like Makoto in 3S (though not as bad), it doesn’t take much to take matches of the best.
I don’t know how to compare these two, but I’ve beat EMPEROR COW (UK’s Dhalsim) also.

Oh my bro picked up a VSHG so now he’s getting back into fighting games. Played a bunch of DoA, getting ready for VF:FS. I have no idea now with him getting back into these games if I’ll be even playing SF after March. Depends on which of my friends ask me to to be honest.
There’s an auto-update for everyone connected to the network. I don’t know if it’s possible to connect to it outside of Japan, but you can patch it another way if someone has the data on a stick or some sort. At least that’s how Casino got a bunch of AE cabinets.
Sounds like I know where I’m going after Christmas. Been a while since I’ve been to Paris, especially on my own. I’ll try to meet up with you and give you advice if you’re not better than me by then.
