By the way, any clue on how many frames we have to press cl.st.HK after a Kazegiri FADC ? I’m having a hard time landing it, I wonder how many frames do I usually have to input it correctly.
Plink it.
It’s usually a 2-frame link like against Rufus, otherwise it’s a 1-framer like vs. Bison. Some characters lift higher than others. Remember that it doesn’t work on Sagat and only Sagat.
I obviously already do that. I just don’t have the timing yet. Moreover I’m having trouble adding the SJC cd lol.
BTW, just got AE PC. IS that normal that I can’t do shit in the game? I feel like all timings are extremely different. Played some random people and lost to them because my kunais weren’t even timed correctly Oo
Is the difference with Xbox 360 AE that big?
MK Tsumuji, f+LK also has more range than a normal Tsumuji Loop.
vs. Makoto cr.MK (CH), st.MK xx Tsumuji Loop doesn’t work, but MK Tsumuji, f+LK does
Another question, don’t know if this is character specific:
I usually do cl.st.HK SJC LK cd - cr.MP.
Whenever I do Kazegiri FADC st.HK LK cd, I end up with a non-autocorrect cr.MP (Ibuki does it on the wrong side, opponent lands behind me), so I have to do st.HK SJC MK cd.
Do you know if the whiffed cr.MP after LK cd is character specific (as Abel is usually my #1 training dummy) ? Or do I have to always SJC MK cd?
I’m pretty sure cr.MP doesn’t hit juggled opponents…
It’s not character specific, but spacing specific. Unless you’re DEAD in their face you won’t get this problem, assuming you’re talking about cr.HP. I always use LK CD.
It’s both character and spacing specific. I can’t find where my results went, but I remember when I tested there were cases like cl.st.HK , cr.HP whiffing on Guy because you were too close or something, as Ibuki faces the wrong way as Damascus says.
You could just delay the cr.HP by a frame. After a Kunai hits Ibuki won’t be that close so your testing couldn’t have been realistic.
Why am I saying cr.MP? I meant cr.HP -_-
I could land it in a few situations after a LK cd, but I think I’ll just stick with MK cd and don’t take time to learn another character specific shit.
It’s not character specific, but if you do MK CD you won’t be able to cross-up on a lot of the cast with an SJC HK CD. So no it’s not a good idea.
Just noticed that Sako “cheats” a little by using shortcuts to accomplish the kara Raida (LK cd xx Raida).
He seems to do :qcf::qcb::lk:~:hp:
Which isn’t a full KoF motion.
After 10-15 minutes in the training room (first time I’ve sat down and actually tried to master it), I see it isn’t actually that hard. And there’s very little risk of messing up, since Raida always has priority over Command dash, so assuming your inputs are correct, you’ll just get Raida in case you time your shit wrong.
A common mistake is to miss the last back motion, in which case you don’t have a full Raida input ( :f::df::d::db::hp: does not count as Raida, but :f::qcb::hp: does) and you’ll just get command dash.
I think I’ll be doing kara Raida from now on, just for the hell of it. Just like Tsumuji looping a stunned opponent, who just got stunned after a Tsumuji loop or other long ass combo.
Did you know what you just did? You made this kara possible now on controller! (For me, some people set theirs up differently.) Oh my, it even works perfectly on my controller. I can use kara raida more consistently, woot!
Edit: I can also do kara neckbreaker too woot.
Time to practice with it.
Thanks so much mingo
That rare situation where you Double Tsumuji loop Abel in the corner ending with EX Tsumuji and you want to finish off with a Raida. In fact, weren’t you the one who advertised this?
If nothing else, just do it for the cool factor.
Loll I’m pretty sure he made a video about too.

Time to start kara-CDing ALL of my specials from now on.
The video was a test video so I was showing something off useless. We only needed to do kara-Raide when doing st.MP, st.LP, st.MK (which does less damage). I can think back to only one situation against a Guy player where I needed kara-Raida, but with juggle Yoroitoshi there’s no need now.
Only you would do st.MP st.LP st.MK. The rest of us do st.MP st.MP st.MK.
… Hence why I’m saying it’s useless? As a punish combo or something in the corner I just mentioned, st.MP, st.MP, st.MK Loop does more damage so I would do that instead.
I think I only do st.MP st.LP st.MK after an air reset for the sake of hit-confirming (blocking low or high?) because st.MP st.MP st.MK whiffs on pretty much all crouching characters after an air reset.
Might as well post this here.

You can also forward dash trough him. You just teleport to the end of his hands. I don’t remember if you can actually just walk right trough him. I recorded this loooong time ago.
