I’m not comfortable with mags fresh, have his bnb’s down havent really worked on his harder combo’s but when you don’t feel right using something you just shouldnt use it
i do however like clint, and am comfortable with his movement, have a few harder combo’s down, and like his greyhound assist.
i dunno, this game is a total mind fuck with team selection…could spend hours trying to get a good team down, arghhhhh
Anyone know the most optimal way to setup a dhc into vergil’s sword loops from deadpool?
I am also looking for the most optimal sword loop combo after dhc’ing into vergil.
The thing I hate about deadpool is that katana rama uses both a ground bounce and wall bounce. However, you can use deadpool’s assist after dhcing to otg and ground bounce reset.
Looking to get 1 mil damage after the entire combo.
Hmmm… Has anyone considered using the of Deadpool Sentinel, Ammy? It sounds like a pretty good team on paper, and you have access to both the Bolo glitch allowing Deadpool for 1HKO.
What are people’s experiences with Deadpool/Drones?
I have been thinking about running it and it just doesn’t seem good to me. The main times where I want to call an assist with Deadpool are:
call assist, jump back M guns
jump, double jump + call assist to cover landing since Deadpool’s air normals are ass against pretty much any AA
Drones don’t fit the bill in either of those situations. Furthermore, the best time to call drones is when you are at midscreen or further. This is to protect Sent from getting randomly bopped. I often find my Deadpool getting to fullscreen where he is very comfortable and can go for L guns xx teleport. The problem there is that Drones does absolutely nothing for Deadpool at fullscreen. Using a beam assist or Vajra instead would help him keep the opponent pinned so he can land L guns xx teleport. Drones is too slow to pin the opponent and by the time the drones travel fullscreen they won’t hit anyone.
Now that I have given it some thought I’m considering that perhaps jump back M guns, land, call drones and teleport might work. I have some reservations about it because there is nothing protecting Deadpool or Sent during the startup of teleport. I’m also not confident that the timing will be quite right. It seems likely that the drones would get there a while after Deadpool does, giving time for the opponent to hit him after he teleports.
Well what you can do is call drones and quickwork H across the screen. If it hits, combo off of it however you want. If they block it, teleport behind them and try to cross them up using the drones. And then if they block the drones, you can still hit them with a high/low mixup.
Although I’m not gonna lie, deadpool doesn’t need drones and could benefit from a better zoning assist. But in all honesty, deadpool doesnt NEED a zoning assist at all. He can keep opponents away all on his own just as efficiently as with an assist with superjump ninja stars and then double jumping to change your aerial trajectory to throw off your opponent. I’d say if you can get the unscale glitch combo down with drones, it might be worth it.
So dash back then drones + Quick Work instead of doing jump back M guns. That seems viable though a bit vulnerable to happy birthdays.
When I finished writing that post I was thinking I should drop Sent for Akuma because Tatsu assist would be good to call with a double jump to get people out from under Deadpool. Then I watched a few of Snighter’s vids and saw how good jump back, double jump + call tatsu, fall with M guns is. It blows up people who try to catch your landing or locks them down until you land so you can hit them with L guns xx teleport. It’s ideal. With Tatsu you don’t sacrifice any momentum when you jump back.
Also, I really like your ninja stars usage, I have been incorporating it into my Deadpool play. I agree that Deadpool doesn’t need a zoning assist but I believe that he gets extremely dirty when he has one.
Some stuff you can do with Dante:
air play, then follow it with air dash forward + j.H. If you do a strong enough air play it’s a combo on standing. I think it’s a combo in the air no matter what.
Meet people in the air with super jump, j.M j.H killer bee (qcf + L). j.M stuffs a lot of stuff in the air.
If you play a lame doom or something, teleport behind him in the air and pop him with j.M j.H killer bee
Always cancel j.S with hammer or air play to make it safe
On the ground you want to get people into blockstun so you can set up frame traps and assist + teleport. This can be accomplished with Dante’s gigantic normals. You can do stuff like: M H Weasel Shot, call assist during Weasel Shot, teleport (optional air dash) j.H. Without the assist you can go straight from Weasel Shot into Stinger, it’s a frame trap. You could also do raw Stinger + call assist bold cancel teleport before assist hits for a cross up. I’ve also seen people do Reverb Shock xx Fireworks and keep pressure on after that, not sure what the followup move is there.
Besides that stuff you should just try to be aware of Dante’s tools. Crystal has slow startup but it will stuff things like Nova square jump + assist or Spencer zip + assist. Acid Rain will hit people who try to go above you. Jam Session will eat Soul Fists. Hysteric will mess up Haggar. I’m sure there are plenty of other uses for stuff. In the Dante forums there’s a cool video about using Million Carats xx Devil Trigger on incoming since Million Carats visually obscures Dante. Jump forward j.M works as an incoming mixup, it can cross up outside the corner thanks to it’s gigantic sword hitbox.
I have team that consists of ryu(hadouken)/deadpool(katana-rama)/??? as for a third character i don’t know what to pick, what is a good assist that benefits both if not then just deadpool?
Hey, folks. Just me messing around in training mode with my team. Ammy is the main focus here, but there is one DP combo here. Nothing fancy here. Let me know what y’all think.
What do you gents think of me putting Rocket Raccoon on anchor? Deadpool/Doom missiles/RR log trap? I’m still having an awful character crisis with my anchor.
I don’t think RR is that great of an anchor especially if you’re going to have to rely on xfactor alone. And if you use Log trap I feel you’re wasting your wallbounce for a 5 low durability projectile (Which can be less than useful at times)
Alright man I gotcha. I think I’ll stick to vajra then, because I just created a really cool inescapable mixup on incoming with H guns to teleport and vajra.
So I just started using Nova/Task/Deadpool. But I’m starting to like Deadpool/Task/Nova too.
I just wanted to know if Deadpool is considered to be a good anchor, as I’m really liking him on point.
Although the original plan was to have the Nova/Task shell with quick work, giving Nova a low hit.
I used to run Deadpool on anchor a lot before I started putting him on point and second. He’s a capable anchor but has a few problems.
For one he has to still deal with his malfunction which can leave a hole in his mix-ups if you end up full screen (screwed me over a bit). I feel his mix-ups aren’t that strong on incoming solo. And if you run out of Xfactor his damage output solo isn’t ToD status or high without some work.
If you really wanted to run that team I’d run maybe Nova/Deadpool/Task so deadpool gets an assist too.
With Deadpool, you only need 1 incoming mixup: Dash up st.Hguns so they block it into teleport behind them, cr. L. Honestly, that mixup works incredibly well, and once your opponent sees it, you can still choose to teleport in front or behind them.
