I came up with this a little earlier today.
It’s basically a Isedelica combo 2 with a spiral sword loop in it.
It doesn’t work on small characters though.

i have a great vergil solo combo id love to show all of you.
I look forward to seeing it. Still trying to use a team while avoiding OTG assists though, but ah well. Any advice on the timing for Lunar Phase after Spiral Swords activation in the above combo. It seems like I need to Spiral Swords without them being too close to the ground, or they tech out, or too high in the air… They get hit with Spiral Swords, but the full lunar phases misses and I can’t follow up with Round Trip.
Any advice is appreciated Ramza.
So at this point what’s the verdict- is starting with s.H Stinger xx Rising Sun, or are cr. H xx Stinger Trick L/M’s better??
and Ramza the inputs on that BnB would be amazing, I think I can tell what you’re doing, but the inputs would help a lot.
Honestly, for the meter you put in, the damage difference is not that huge between the two types. The best I’ve seen has been stuff where you do the full BnB combo and then use an OTG assist to pick up for Spiral Swords. That seems to be the most efficient use of meter and does the most damage.
I like the s.H -> Stinger combos for a couple of reasons, mainly that s.H by itself is an extremely buff poking weapon. There’s value in knowing how to do both, and the damage difference between the two amounts to about 20k on average, which is not worth having a fit over.
There are different ways to time it, if you are cancelling spiral swords from judgement cut just make sure you cancel late into it but not too late, too high and they bounce out, the opp should fall down a little when you activate spiral swords then you know you have done it right. Or you can do after judgement cut, cr.H xx Spiral swords, less damage but they never fall out this way. The new combo i’m going to post up later will show another way I like using dante OTG crystals where the opp never falls out, so my BnB also doubles as a very useful timing aid for spiral swords
As far as I have tested that 830k combo with the additional cr. H works on everyone. Some characters you have to omit the last cr. H and instead go straight to Lunar Phase but it works. Just practice on rocket raccoon. If you get it working on him consistently the rest of the cast is pretty easy.
Yeah, I noticed the timing with not hitting the Spiral Swords too late or too early. I’ll try adding the cr.H, if it makes them never fall out. Just looking for a combo that will work better online too, since the timing is always messed up. If they never fall out with cr.H, that should work great.
Would someone please be able to tell me the best(or at least decent) damage solo combo that doesn’t involve charging Round Trip during it? Controller issues prevent this. Though I saw a combo that involved charging RT during Swords, that would be do-able. My controller prevented me from playing Zero in vanilla, which was fine. I’d really like that not to be the case in with Virgil Ultimate. If it means 700k instead of 800k, fine. But if I’m stuck in 500’s because if it, that would blow lol
Use OTG assists for around 700-800K. What’s your controller issue. You can set Light Attack to R2/ Right Trigger, and the combos are pretty easy.
Im using a simple combo without roundtrip, but with otg assist(Dante’s Crystal) for about 615k and 1.3 meter build, really simple and viable even with lag.
It goes like this: LMH, Stinger,SHS, sj MMH, Helmet Breaker, OTG Assist(Dante’s Crystal), Judgement cut L, S(you can land H before this but strict timing in assist and judgement cut), sj MMH, Helmet Breaker, High Time, DS.
After some practice tonight, I feel like Vergil’s combo damage and stability really benefit from OTG assists. I think other assists can help too, but I’m having difficulty finding an assist that does what I want.
Also, while multiple Dimension Slash links are still very dependent on luck, cancelling High Time into Dimension Slash as soon as possible, while making sure your opponent is more in the middle of the screen, seems to produce the best results overall in terms of damage and potentially getting that last lucky hit.

It’s a 6 face button controller so there’s only 1 trigger per side, and those are assists. However I did figure something sweet out that may mitigate the issue! I do LMH Stinger xx DP xx H, sj MHS land call Strange Eye of Ag, HS, they don’t launch because the Eye hits, then I do Spiral Swords and start charging Round Trip with M. Havent figured out where to go from there but I think 2 Helm Breakers into release Round Trip should work, then in theory should be able to cH xx L Judgement Cut, Lunar Phase, High Time, QCF super. If all that works Ill be pleased as PUNCH. Not sure why it wouldn’t either.
No it doesn’t work, they flip out. I use it as a super fast reset though sometimes to keep them closer to the ground than just high time at the end if you dont want to use super.

No, but the best way to get it to happen is to teleport yourself into the corner at the end of the combo then do the 3H into maximum vergil. seems character specific more than truly random, sent, ghost rider, and wolvie can typically be looped 2-3 times using this method. However, once you learn to look for it the last hit is pretty obvious.
do note that the lower you hit them with the last kick, the harder the TK skydance link will be
i’ve been wanting to make a video of this, but you can also simply hard tag dante in after 2nd lunar phase. if it hits (rare) link to reverb shock and super, if not, dash up and volhive into super
and of course you can do this anywhere on screen starting dante - 3x lunar phase+spiral swords deals about 260k dmg after high time
what i do is delay the s.SH after the round trip to guarantee that they’re close to the ground
I have a vergil solo combo that gets about 870 net cost 1 metre. You dont have to, but its easier to buster swap with this combo. (In case i didnt get the word right i mean when you start charging round harvest with light and switch to heavy without throwing the sword)
