Hey guys, so I’ve been fooling around with Vergil and trying to do some resets with him, and I’ve found one that does decent damage and has a few variants. I’m on my cell though, so hang in there.

Basically for the reset I get into the spiral swords helm breaker shenanigans. I do that twice and then for the third one I end in lunar whatever it is, the dp+m one. The ground bounce off of lunar thing will put the character at Vergil’s midbody level, so you give them a love tap with standing A and they do a flip at which point you jump up and get an air grab. It’s pretty simplistic but I like it.

My combos for this are:
c.lmh-f.h-l trick-mhs-mmh helm breaker- OTG assist- spiral sword shenanigans x2- dp.m- l. And then the air grab. From the air grab, if I feel like being a dick and don’t think they’ll clue into what’s going on, I’ll go into the spiral sword reset again.

If I remember correctly the main combo itself does 650-700. Can’t remember though, and then the reset portion can do up to 400-500. I think. If I feel like blowing meter, devil trigger can be activated after the light tp, and then you have the option for level 3 if you want to use it. Instead of ending the combo early, you can do S instead of the reset and get the usual air combo into super, but that’s practical and not stylish.

I only had an hour or two in the lab with this, so OTG assist was the easiest way to set it up, but I imagine as long as you don’t use a ground bounce to get into spiral swords you’d do alright. I also use ghost riders otg spire assist if it matters/ someone was wondering.

That’s all I really want to explain on my phone. I’ve been creeping the Vergil forums and didn’t notice something like it, but if there is, feel free to humiliate me off of SRK. Also, there’s probably much more damaging ways for this combo, but I’ve had an hour in the lab with it.

First off you should negate the second j.M. You losing some damage overall.
Second you’re probably jumping to early. Two things happen when you into the the super jump to early. One, you’re only get a jump because some reason you can’t buffer the down input the trick down. And two, you’re jumping to high causing the j.H to whiff. Delay the superjump.

its just strict timing on high time to ground trick - thats why you see isedelica using recordings for that part

And just in general, can Virgil do good damage without mid-combo Round Trip nor an OTG assist?

I have noticed pretty much every damaging combo involves an OTG assist now unfortunately. Think I can get away with no OTG assists and still use Vergil’s combos to his full potential? I was thinking High Time to some assists may let me combo just as well. Anyone have any ideas if High Time > Trish Peekaboo would work for me?

Up to 885k with an extension to my earlier combo in this thread, doesn’t usually do that much damage but super hit about as best it can on the take I recorded

Damn, that combo is so easy, and that’s massive damage. I don’t have an OTG assist, but maybe I can work something out with Taskmaster’s heavy shot. Any ideas guys?

Hope I’m not out of place here, but does anyone have the notation for isedelica’s corner loop (seen here at 0:34: [media=youtube]QrU3L16MkL4[/media]), and perhaps any advice on the execution? I think I have the gist of it in my head, but idk…

after 2nd lunar phase, if near corner

2h>6h>judgment cut>2h>lunar phase>otg

should add 70k~ dmg vs meterless

but if you want super, doing this should make it only add a bit more damage since you get reduced hits on DS because you dont cross up

Two questions which might be the same question since I don’t think Yipes’ BNB used Round Trip:

  1. Is there a decent combo that doesn’t involve charging Round Trip during it? I can charge it during Sowrds if need be, but controller issues prevent me from keeping a face button held down while hitting more face buttons : /

  2. Anyone know the BNB Yipes was using in the Combotorium vids that involved Spiral Swords? I know it started with normals into DP+L xx H, land, sj M(M)HS, land and then he does something to get into Swords. Anyone know the sequence after landing from the sjS?

From what i remember after the sj.S he does s.H, stinger, Judgement cut, swords, lunar phase x2, stinger Trick M, hightime, dimension slash

Just wanted to show a variation of the Isedelica Combo 02 I did. No assists, 1 meter, can max at around 600k. I tried it so that Vergil could end it at a range where he could start a mixup.

On average it does less over damage when adding in the super (Still 850k+) as it hits like junk usually in the corner builds way more meter though so can start combo at half of first bar

Of all the combos I’ve seen on this forum. This has to be Vergil’s best solo BnB, hands down. Got to give credit to Ramza for this one. Thanks, I know I’ll be practicing this a lot, and coming up with my own variations for possibly more damage.

On one of the combos on the first page I’m having a lot of trouble connecting j.M after Rising Sun>Trick Down. I get to the tele then try to jump but the enemy is either just a little too high up still or they’ve already recovered.

I’ve improved since this combo, got some otg combos doing about 850-900K Max (750K before DS) with a good mashed DS and only costing one meter (the swords are free)
