I just don’t get it, i can’t get any multi loops with this guy, he’s a great character but i just don’t understand anyyyy of the timing for it. in the corner i’ve been trying to get the whol MMH Air Palm loop i get the air combo down but i can never hit them when i get back to the ground.
How can you even do a imapct palm from a low alt air flames i don’t even get the full move out when i try it
What is strange supposed to do against a cornered enemy? He doesn´t have lows/highs and his teleport doesn´t work there so…

seems pretty good air to air, I was getting solid j. counterhits into rejump loops.

c. has been good as an AA, confirmable into sword -> jump loop. Didn’t try Palm as an AA, curious how that would work.

shuts down zoners pretty hard. sword + Daggers overpower most chars in fb wars, if anyone wants to get cute you have Spell or Rings.

eye of agamotto is good, need to use it more when I find time.

Up close, need to end blockstrings w/ Mystic Sword to be safe. L sword is even on block, M sword pushes them back a bit.

Magneto was annoying thanks to Gravitation, you could probably Spell him on reaction to get him to stop.

Vergil was a problem at first, couldn’t set Graces up safely. Need to be careful vs chars w/ long range normals.

Ammy’s Okami Shuffle is odd… If you activate counter during the fire part, the ice section actually cuts the beam off. So it looks like the beam is blinkig in and out. It’s still going, but it causes Ammy to fall out of the beam. So only counter the ice section, the beam is guaranteed then. I’ll make a vid demonstrating later tonight.

Dont have a strong answer for cornered opponents yet. So far I’ve only been running c.:h: / tick throw setups. Perhaps an assist that sets up fuzzy guard well should be considered.
That’s about it for now. I need to put a little more work in, but I have high hopes overall for the (former) Sorceror Supreme.

I think it’s just best to avoid cornering opponents unless you have really good chip damage setups. You want to be at full screen anyway so you can setup mixups from afar and safely.
But it seems like his best and most damaging combos are in the corner. Flight mode might give an okay high low mixup for that situation.

Started hiding behind eye on the ground while setting up graces. Has pretty good durability.

Magneto/Vergil/Wolverine still problematic. The latter two a bit less so since their approach is ground-based. Eye stops both berserker/rapid slash cold. This could just be my relative inexperience speaking, but I feel extremely fast chars in general are going to be annoying.

Personally, I think it’d be nice to have some form of defensive assist you’re playing him on point. Maybe a projectile also. I’m running Taskmaster/Akuma atm, working out ok so far.

how about chipping them with L mystic sword or just throwing them when they’re in the corner? doesn’t he have corner only mystic sword loops? can he get anything besides SoV after a throw/otg assist in the corner? perhaps he can juggle after a corner throw? how does pushblock effect L mystic sword in the corner? who can duck under L mystic sword and make it unsafe? how about baiting a whiff, teleport through it, then go from there?

i would think c.B and s.A would be good for magneto and storm, mystic sword/illusion for wolverine and illusion for vergil…particularly vergil since i’ve heard/read his normals are pretty slow in recovery but i don’t know how true that is.
I am curious for a confirmation from anyone who has the game early. Does normal Flames of the Faltine disappear on hit before reaching a glyph? Does the Flames of the Faltine fireball disappear if Strange is hit AFTER it passes through a glyph?

Yeah, c.B is a good AA in general (have not tried s.A), and no one is gonna be airdashing at you really. The main issue I had was trying to set up graces while dealing w/ estaka + proj assist.
There’s a bit of recovery on his throws, you don’t really get anything off it other than SoV normally. If you had a grace set nearby you could otg w/ that after corner airthrow… think that’s it though.
Normally after I kill a char in the corner now, I move back toward midscreen. That leaves you enough room to get a 50/50.
L Mystic Sword can apparently be ducked by small chars (ammy/RR/joe? have to test later). Idk about using it for chip, I don’t bother going for chip much tbh.
Strange’s dashes aren’t very good, baiting whiffs is kinda hard Punishing isn’t though
Strange moves like a slug. His backdash is horrible, but those 50/50s are too godlike.
From what I remember from playing…it disappears if Strange is hit before it passes through the glyph. Once it passes through one glyph it can’t be stopped.
What is strings best ain’t air?
lovin’ the spellcheck bro, lol. anyways, the guide recommends st.L, Mystic Sword L, and from Alzarath’s testing, cr.M is also a good anti-air. I don’t know if you can rapid-fire st.L, but it’s similar to Magneto’s standing L, disjointed hitbox and all.
