can you launch > Impact Palm xx teleport down, launch > Impact Palm xx teleport down, repeat? as long as you can clip the opponent asap, it should make a good corner loop if ever. the opponent will always tech in 35 frames after being hit by Impact Palm, regardless of hitstun.
It’s funny, that was literally the FIRST thing I tried. Couldn’t get it at all.
It LOOKS possible, it may just be a spacing/timing issue.
Also, you can’t hit them otw up, you don’t recover fast enough to hit them again after you teleport.

This just solidifies that they want you to just homing projectile or assist left/right around people all day. He truly is left/right the character.
I really like the way the graces work. You only really need to have 2 yellow graces to get a pretty strong homing projectile that acts as a self assist. The 3rd yellow just makes it an instant full screen tracking beam for a completely unavoidable 50/50. It seems the best way to set up yellow graces is to get range from your opponent with M mystic swords. Once that’s done you call eye of agomotto plus assist and then impact palm it at them and set up grace while that’s on the screen. If you want to set up more graces you repeat the same process and throw another agomotto at them and set up grace. 2 or 3 graces + flames of faltine = they’re fucked. Two graces = homing wesker gun shot 50/50 into juggle combo and three = homing beam 50/50 of death.
**People are going treat Dr.Strange like Phoenix and super jump around like idiots and run to corners to avoid salty ball 50/50’s. The graces will set up mix ups where they can’t avoid even if they super jump and still grant full combos. **
Mystic Sword M and H are looking really solid for zone. 11 frame start up on M (only 4 frames slower than vanilla disruptor) and 3 points more durability (8 frames durability). That means if we get into a firefight with Magento disruptah strange wins pretty free especially with assists. The recovery is a bit longer but the durability for something that starts that fast will surely make up. Especially when you have both of his supers and assists scaring people also. H mystic sword looks good for those pesky super jump lame out characters. Plus he has homing H teleport or spell of vishanti for that also.
His teleports seem to start up and recover at about the same speed as Wesker’s. People hyping up the ports to be fast but I think it’s just they’re they fastest travelling ports in the game (making them the best for left/right mix ups of any character). The recovery is still the same frame wise as Wesker and not 10 frame quick like Deadpool. Doesn’t matter because Strange has a 3 tracking projectiles + assists he can use to keep it safe and create full screen 50/50’s with.
**His normals being negative on block were pretty much what I was expecting. His projectiles and his teleports are his rushdown…not his normals. His name is Dr.Strange for a reason. **If you are in range to hit confirm into a combo and your normals get blocked you can just cancel into M mystic sword which pushes them away. It’s negative 15 but it pushes them so far away that they need a beam super to punish and probably can’t be crouched under like the L mystic sword. That’s pretty much what you want since the more space you have the more rushdown you can start up with the projectiles and ports.
The general idea of Dr.Strange is he has the ability to put more than one projectile on the screen at once. Like start off with eye of agomotto from a range, impact palm + projectile assist to release the agomotto and the assist, and then throw out M daggers. This basically allows you to do 2 to 3 50/50 mix ups from FULL SCREEN that you will mostly be able to convert into combos on hit.
Which means with Dr.Strange overall you want to lame them out long enough so you can rush them down.
I think I’m gonna use Arthur for my projectile assist of choice for Strange. Arthur’s one of my favorite anchor/assist characters and I’ve been playing with Phoenix/Arthur a lot in vanilla to get a good idea on how to play Strange/Arthur. I’m even thinking of using Akuma with fireball assist because I kinda want to play him too. Akuma/Strange/Arthur? It could work.
Still hoping there’s something for Zero/Strange though. I’ll have to put some real work in to make that pair work like I want it to.

so apparantly, its possible, but you gotta do sj.C>f+C after sjc’d teleport, then a two-frame link from teleport to standing A. going right into s.S upon landing is probably only possible with xfactor speed boost.
that’s nice, but what i’m thinking is he can use teleportation H twice in an aircombo. something like…
S, sjc teleport H, sj.C, sj.f+C (opponent falls a little) xx teleport H, sj.C, sj.f+C xx teleport M, land, etc…
sorta create a “stairstep” aircombo with his teleports. if alzarath is willing to test, that’ll be helpful.
Uhh, what? The guide says you can just do a normal air chain (MMHH) then teleport down with Teleport M, and continue with a standing LMHHS etc. Look at Combo Usage III, you don’t need to super jump cancel.

Yeah, I know that combo is there, but what I’m saying is you don’t have to do the super jump cancel to get the st. L link after air Impact Palm->Teleport. Maybe you do after the Plasma Beam, but probably not in most cases.

Random: at fullscreen, Vergil’s Rapid Slash assist pulls the opp out of the corner on the 1p side. If you could protect him w/ a projectile then do daggers + teleport it could be useful.

now i’m thinking maybe hawkeye vertical arrows will allow the SoV extension outside the corner or doom missiles anywhere. something like flying screen, land, hawkeye assist, DoD (omittable) xx SoV, hawkeye hits, SoV. care to test?

after the first launcher you do sjc h teleport -> palm -> land -> palm -> launch -> sjc teleport -> palm -> land -> palm
is that a TK motion for the sjc teleport? so 42147 (DP+ub)?
