They’re really not that hard to do offline.
Everyone has over-exaggerated the amount of execution required to perform them.
I think the average ass speed of Marvel online makes the palm to flame connection easier. At least it’s not as demanding as offline. It can still be done you just have to adjust. If some dude can LL me, surely a flame combo is in there.
I can’t do the FoF loop consistently online. There is always going to be some input delay, and I just can’t seem to properly adjust the timing.
I’ve hit it like 4 times online, which is terrible since I can consistently do it offline.

I’ll pass on the knowledge. 
basic FOF loop with 1 rep, land, relaunch, 1 rep, land, relaunch, etc is easy, but if you go for 3 reps, then land, relaunch, 3 reps, etc, its not easy. The timing is super strict.
i can’t do any form of the FoF loop, and that’s coming from someone who completed all SSFIV trials, MVC3 missions, and almost all UMVC3 missions. i really like the “simplified” version that japanese player was using.
Finally watched the Nemo Frieda set. I think that was the best representation of utility Strange thus far. Crumple raw tag loops are fire. That being said, I still haven’t seen anyone with a remarkable neutral game. Doc did his thing, but that team is focused on dealing out metric tons of damage. Having Strange 2nd only makes sense there. Solid execution but again, almost pure utility. Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome, but not what I’m personally looking for in the doctor completely. The raw tag he did when he knew he was going to be punished for that Grace of Hoggoth after the EoA vanished was smart as hell though.

I think team composition is part of it, but I think knowledge of the character is most of it.
I thought Nemo was kinda fraudulent. Never really
playing Strange in the match outside of XF3 & crumple
combos. He looked terrified but thats what he
gets for not having a neutral game assist. He
coulda atleast used Novas shield assist but nooooo,
apparently its all about that extra bit of useless swag
instead of protecting your neutral.
i didn’t think it was cheap at all because i know that strange can die in one touch. it’s actually very practical: nova is constantly getting combos, and strange has a way to safely deal damage, gain meter, kill opponent, and safely tag himself out with EoA.
i’d do that the whole match if i was cheap enough to have a crumple character other than strange lol
Its not about it being “cheap”. Its about Nemo only
showcasing 1 gimmicky aspect of Strange. If I was
on the outside looking in all I would see is a cool
hardtag combo but almost everytime Strange comes
in he tags out or gets bopped… Sure it was Zero Dante Mags
but still, it just justifies everyones opinion about Strange
being crap & low tier if he cant fight in neutral for longer
than it takes for him to tag out lol Why pick this character?
You have a point, but I think it’s too hasty to call Nemo a fraud. Playing the neutral game with Strange is harder than it looks and let’s be honest here. The whole point of the team was to have Nova out on the offensive with Bolts assist rather than a somewhat well balanced neutral game with all characters. It was very effective (could be better if his Strange was actually able to do something, I don’t know how effective shield assist is against Mag beams and Zero busters). Centurion rush did increase mixup and damage for both Strange and especially Spencer. If you think about it, people do the same thing with Sentinel and Strider as assist and lvl 3 anchor, but at least you can hard tag Strange to push maximum damage and meter building, when the other characters can’t. It’d be nice if his Strange can play a neutral but his team hardly allows it no matter what assist you use.
I’m trying to get a good opponent to record some matches with point-Strange. Hope I dont let you guys down. 
Was going to post something similar, but you put it better than I could have. Much like point-Strider having a point-Strange is a huge risk. They’re viable with the right assists, but you’re not getting the most out of them when you consider that their assist(s) is soooo good and that extra meter that you can gain from another point character makes them that much more of a threat.
