No I mean with an EoA at jump height in the corner. Try it out, do jump EoA, land, launcher, SJ, any normal into TAC and EoA will interrupt it. Maybe if you timed it right, it could be unbreakable.

How does one start the IP loop with Mystic Sword L?

It works naturally off an anti-air, but if you’re doing it off a grounded confirm into IP crumple, 2x Grace M, FoF, IP xx Mystic Sword L then go into the loop.

my friend does something like this, but i think it’s just a regular combo. he’ll do a ground combo with frirebrand, call EoA, launch, air combo, air :S: and the opponent lands in the eye so he can launch again lol. it looks really funny.

i was playing around with strange last night and i accidentally did a TAC after his I.P. it was really low to the ground, so it didn’t work. i think capcom gave TACs a height restriction because of some she-whore and ammy exploit. anyways, i was thinking it might have reset potential. just do your combo with the I.P., and instead of the late launcher, use a late TAC.

man… i was in an online match, input 7 rings during a freeze screen, and got astral magic! no wonder this game doesn’t have replays. i’d love to see my inputs not match what my character does =X

I absolutely hate when that happens. I do raggador sometimes and get Astral magic because of some weird stuff that happens online. And it doesnt help that Astral magic has loldurability

i might understand if i was doing a QCF and got a forward shoryuken motion… but how do you get forward shoryuken motion after doing QCB??
same thing used to happen in SSFIV.

How do you guys move around and get in with strange? I really like him, and I think his move set is pretty unique but I just can’t grasp getting in with him for a hit confirm. I run him with doom(missiles) and hawkeye(quickshot) any tips?

That’s the team I’ve been running for quite a while. I’ll give you 2 methods of approach that I use.

-Call Doom Missiles, then do an EoA into IP, then call DoD L or M. This is basically done to keep shit all over the screen and continuously pressure you opponent. After you call the DoD M or L go for a teleport mix-up. If your opponent does manage to block the entire barrage of projectiles, I’m sure they will be quite hesitant to move at that point; I’d suggest going for a throw.

-Another way to do things is to simply call Hawkeye’s assist then teleport behind the opponent. This is a great teleport mix-up.

Not exactly tech related, but figured I’d share a massively fraudulent win I managed to pull off with Strange at a local tournament…video below.

I know Weskers love to fire off a gunshot after a maximum wesker, but everything went better than expected when I anticipated it this time…

Okay so basically zone out and go for a teleport mix up. Sounds legit. Anything I should end my blockstrings with in particular so I’m not easily punished?

End your blockstrings with either Mystic Sword M or Mystic Sword L. I usually use Mystic Sword M since it can hit the entire cast even when crouched under.

So I’ve been running a strange/hawkeye shell ever since ultimate. After running tons of points on this team I decided to pick up doom. I’m running Strange with Bolts, Doom with Missiles, and Hawkeye with triple arrow. I’ve yet to find a good order though and am thinking about running different orders based on match ups.

Strange, Doom, Hawkeye seems like a really strong order because I can get really easy IP loop confirms off of missiles. Plus teleport+ call hawk eye assist is a super strong cross up. Doom has those TAC’s for killing people off and Hawkeye is probably the best anchor on this team.

Hawkeye, Strange, Doom is viable as well because Hawkeye with missiles is super oppressive zoning. Strange excels in the second spot on this team because of his great dhc’s. Gimlet into SOV is great to get kill confirms from anywhere. Plus random beam supers get thrown out at this team all the time and doing Gimlet or SSS into 7 rings is a great counter to that.

So my question remains, when should I run Strange on point and when should I put hawkeye on point?
Are there any specific characters that blow up Strange+missiles but not Hawkeye+missiles?

Strange(DoD or EoA)/Doom(Hidden missiles)/Hawkeye(triple arrows).

starting to think tac is the way to get strange in. im messing with wesker/bolts and just corner carry or 1/4 corner carry (then variation of midscreen fof) to fof loop xx bible xx wesker super. so he comes back with no glasses. havent actually found out the damage it actually does but it seems decent (havent tried in pmode, only in actual gameplay)

just need to get more consistent with fof. need to be able to land midscreen and corner 100% consistent.

clarification i mean corner carry with wesker then tac to strange.

What do you guys think is the most reliable midscreen FoF loop setup/confirm?

confirmed im getting a million tac to strange then dhcing to shitty wesker super.

One rep of the Palm loop into st.H, IP xx Flame, dash forward Palm works well for me.
