Go to training mode and practice the IP loop over and over again while listening to the theme.
Success.
I can do it with my eyes closed nowadays. Though, online I still at times drop it; usually when I’m nervous. It’s really not that hard once you get it down.
Can someone do a translation for me? I faced this one guy in a player match and beat him 10-0 with my Strange/Doom/Hawkeye team, pretty badly actually; no taunting, teabagging, wavedashing, etc I don’t do that nonsense. You could tell he was a new player, as I was destroying his entire team with just Strange for the most part. Zoning, throws, IP loop, etc.
Anyways, he sent me this message after. He was from Mexico, so I’m assuming this is spanish. Google translate isn’t helping tonight, and I’m clueless.
Message was: “Paresias puto siempre iyendo para atras jajajajaja al fin novato.”
Any help? I’m pretty sure tortonon speaks spanish. :S
lvl 0 (green): cancels beam projectiles, slow enough that Strange can fire one and follow behind it like Guile’s Sonic Boom
lvl 1 (yellow): faster, more damage, most reliable for quick teleport mixups since it’s at just the right speed
lvl 2 (red): gains soft knockdown property on airborne opponents
lvl 3 (purple beam): soft knockdown property on airborne opponents, causes crumple state on grounded opponents, nearly instant
Projectile durability also increases with level (max of 10 low durability points for lvl 3).
I also just want to say thanks to all the newer Strange players posting in here. For a time, it was literally just me, tortonon, and serpentaurus just posting in here, so with you guys, the Strange forums feels a lot more active. Keep it up.
lol, it should traduce something like: “What a b**** always going backward jajajajaja noob”, and the “paresias” is actually “parecías”, people with terrible ortography are common online
Oh, my bad man. Didn’t know where you lived, just saw a few of your youtube videos and it looked like spanish to me at first glance in the descriptions. Thanks for the translation though :D.
I kinda think you can, Bronson, I remember doing my full bnb on happy birthdays and getting to 5 meters instantly. But I think they have to be pretty much in the same place, since the flame is not multi-hitting. Not really sure. Palm-loops for sure work. Flame is a maybe.
and what Mazio said is really true: it’s really cool to have a lot of people on the Strange boards!
And thats because of you 3-5 guys who stuck with him no matter how awkward he played. The well organized threads, posts and videos made me pick him up again and helped me learn the FoF loop in only one day (not 100% yet but hitting it like 70% is great for a few days).
That aside, Strange backed by Shuma is great for the neutral game. Mystic Ray gives him full screen nearly unavoidable teleport mixups of which he can transition directly into his jump loops and FoF loops. It´s to bad they don´t DHC well (they don´t DHC at all…), but it´s a good tradeoff for that awesome assist in my opinion. I´m not sure if there´s another Strange/Shuma player in here as these two characters are already rare as hell in general, but if there is one I really advise you to try this order. You gotta make sure your combos deal enough damage though.
Yeah, thats probably a better order for DHCing. I play Strange/Shuma/Doom and use missiles over bolts, mainly because I can use Shuma´s assist for the strange neutral game and missiles for going into the FoF loop. Gotta make sure my Strange combos work because of the non-existant DHC option though.
Still cool to see another Shuma/Strange lover around
