None because the points are a lie in the first place. If I could beat 10k bison with my 1k Juri in my first 3 months of the game, I’m sure the points really don’t mean shit. Especially since they can be boosted.
There are people who play both online and offline pretty consistently, it boils down to availability at any given time.
We are talking about PP on here though, not BP.
I’d say at this point if you can consistently stay above these levels legit then:
2,000-3,000 PP: Good player
3,000-4,000 PP: Great player
4,000-5,000 PP: Top Tier player
5,000+ PP: Eligible for sponsorship. lol
Here is my opinion on the topic. I think a really good player can have as much PP as they want, but a bad player can’t unless they boost. They are also many other factors into PP. Is the account shared between two people, maybe someone is trying to learn stick, or a new character. I know when I was learning stick my PP fell very fast. Plus there is lag that can affect outcomes.
Here is one way to think about it. If someone has high PP say 3k, you can assume that he knows the game well, which is not the same as being a great player.
Personally My PP is in the 2k range and I consider myself very average player. I also have only been playing the game for less than a year as well,
It also depends if you are on PSN or XBLA and what region you live in. As a European on PSN after getting 3k+ you basically either fight boosters who set matches to one round or you’ll face the same 5 people over and over again unless you search for ‘all players’ which is obviously bad news for your pp if you happen to lose to ‘‘johnnyboydamasta2093’’ who has only 500pp.
LMAO
nah, to be fair, he was probably really nervous if that was his first tourney. but yeah. chuckle
3k+
It’s also Whitegun is someone who abuses online tactics to hell and back.
Also you gotta consider the variety of characters one uses online. I do my fair share of trolling ranked matches with Honda/Blanka/T.Hawk and mostly play my mains in Endless or offline… (except Akuma, I play him all around) lol
His Player Points were rather high though. And in most cases, PP goes hand in hand with BP because people normally stay within their two best characters on ranked.
Not really I see a lot of players with very low PP and ridiculously high BP, it’s kinda shitty if you can only win with your mains but i’m pretty sure theyre just trolling.
I just recently got the game, haven’t played fighting games since Tekken 3/Soul Calibur and run around 2000pp on gfwl in SSF4:AE.
Let me tell you I’m playing with a PS3 controller, just pick up on the mechanics bit by bit, couldn’t do a FADC combo if you would hold a gun to my head, mess up inputs all the time and get by with footsie skills I learned like 10-15 years ago.
If anyone calls me a mediocre or good player, I really don’t want to know what a bad player at this game is.
2000PP on PC that’s equivalent to 500PP on xbox live.

2000PP on PC that’s equivalent to 500PP on xbox live.
Whoever bought an Xbox though and paid that shitty company for their shitty ass online service, has other problems than getting good at fighters though.
Talking about platform and competition though… Since I guess from your post most people play on Xbox, how does the PS3 hold up in player base?

So it means 4000 PP on PC are 1000 on XBL?

Of course i’m exaggerating, but you see what I mean. I’ve played on PC quite a bit and there are several flowchart Bisons with over 3KPP, the skill level is lower in general.

I also touched ranked a bit(PC) and the niveau there pissed me off, hell I even had 10 Ryus in a row. I don´t have it on XBL, only on PC, so I can´t say, how it looks there, still I guess online tactics bring people very far. But I would really say that the niveau isn´t great on PC.
How is this possible(99,999,999 PP)?
