This is untrue. Both sexes have bell-curve distributions, it’s just that the men’s is wider. So most of the smartest are men, and so are most of the dumbest.

But what I was doing was going further, applying common sense to the equation, if you have even equal amounts of smart men and stupid men, the smart men are generally out of the market. These are your top earners hooking up with models and the elite females. So when your average female is meeting Mr. Middle Class average guy, since the top males generally aren’t the ones meeting average females, that to me makes it likely the average female>average male.

Reading that article, I don’t think anybody is going to say Hall is one of the elite males. He’s definitely one of the stupid ones.

This is more of a case of blatant incompetence than it is actual ill intent. Or is it? I find it hard to believe that they’re seriously punishing the guy for being a good father, but rather interpreting the law too literally. Also just because women are more favored in the divorce process does not fucking mean female privilege. I never said “it’s top and bottom heavy”… The male’s normal distribution’s variance is bigger. So when you measure the edges, they contain more men compared to women. Most men are still in the middle.

The problem is that the courts decided that the role of a father in a child’s life can be replaced just fine with an ATM machine, regardless of countless researches pointing out how children who grow without fathers are more prone to become losers and criminals. So if the law really cared about finding out what’s good for the children, it would be less about extracting money and more about treating both sides with respect and allowing them to be a part of the child’s life. Divorce is currently “let’s fuck the other over as much as we can” rather than “let’s solve this problem together”. In this game the main losers are the children.

The judge was probably in an abusive relationship at some point in her life. You’d be surprised at how many people take out their frustration on a past figure on someone else; none the less it is something that needs to be curbed. This judge and future judges should be screened more effectively.

HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

Clifford Hall says he’s more than happy to pay child support for his 11-year-old son.

“I’m his father it’s my responsibility to take care of him,” Hall says.

But Hall says when the amount of child support was modified no one told him.

“I discovered for some reason his employer was withholding a large amount some weeks a small amount some weeks a zero amount some weeks,” says Hall’s attorney Tyesha Elam.

“I didn’t want to go to jail basically,” Hall says.

So Hall quickly paid almost 3 grand in back child support.

When Hall and his ex were in Judge Lisa Millard’s court last November he owed nothing.

“Opposing counsel testified twice that he’s all paid up,” says Elam.

But the attorney representing the child’s mother wanted Hall to pay her three grand in attorney fees and Judge Millard agreed.

Court documents also reveal Hall wasn’t following the court’s scheduled times to pick his son up for visitation.

Another modification Hall says he knew nothing about.

“The Judge ended up sentencing him to 6 months in jail.” Elam says.

“When she said I remand you to the Harris County Jail for 180 days my mouth just dropped,” says Hall.

“This entire situation is shocking to me,” says community activist Quanell X. “I’ve never seen one like this.”

Quanell X wants the state’s judicial board to investigate.

“The court failed the child,” he says. “The court failed Mr. Hall the system broke down.”

“I’m like he couldn’t have gotten a worse result,” Elam says. “He could have gone in there with a monkey and gotten a better result. What did I do that my client has over paid over visited and is now paying 3 thousand dollars in attorney fees and is going to jail for 6 months.”

“I can’t be there for my son in jail,” Hall says. “I can’t pay child support in jail. This is not in the best interest of the child.”

Judge Millard tells Fox 26 after she found Hall in contempt he walked out of the courtroom which she says is a big no no.

Judge Millard says Hall’s attorney could have filed a motion for reconsideration which would have given her an opportunity to hear from both sides again and reevaluate the situation.

Hall’s attorney is now working on an appeal.

Hall says in a few days he will turn himself in to the jail.

So the man has to end to pay $3,000 for his ex-wife’s attorney fees, and has to spend time in jail for doing the right thing for his son?

You probably are getting paid less, since you’re expected to do more hours, work harder projects, and generally are expected to perform other tangential activities. Women also tend to get promoted very quickly, despite working less hours or putting in inferior work product.

I don’t really care much because I’m only concerned with having enough for myself, and I have the ability to work for myself. But I don’t get why most unconnected men try so hard, the game is rigged against you. If I were ever to get married it would not be in the US, but rather a country with traditional gender roles such as Brazil.

It is pretty suspect that he somehow wasn’t aware he was way overdue on child support because he didn’t keep track of how much he was getting paid/where his money was going per check AND the ex girlfriend somehow never brought it up earlier on, when he was late on a payment. That’s the only way you can really spin that story imo and it’s not very believable.

Still, it doesn’t help anyone in any way at all for him to do jail-time, so that’s a horrible call on the judge’s part.
