Hori tekken 6 stick

I’ve also sent a link on amazon on the earlier posts. :X
Yeah I think that Modchipman does sell them:

Tada.

What stores did you hit, Home Depot or Lowes should have had it

What I wants to know is, can the face of the stick be swapped out for custom art/plexi?

Anyway I’m getting it today so if somebody mod it could u post a tutorial please? I would really appreciate it.

Here’s a specialized tool set, spring for this and you shouldn’t have a problem with opening up any controllers for padhacks either: http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/tools/9e7d/

Good thing I per-ordered the MVC2 TE stick and have a Sanwa modded SF4 SE stick. This thing looks like a pain in the ass to mod. I think I’ll leave it go and have a spare stick for friends to use when they come over.

So … we do a ribbon cable mod…

Remove that huge stupid PCB that the buttons are soldered to, it’s useless…it just acts as wires, traces on board instead of wires…

SO…cut out the PCB…de-solder buttons…drop in Seimitsu\Sanwa…

As for the Hori stick…they’re not so bad, just mod on an octo-gate and you’re golden…

I’ll do mine in a few weeks…pics to come…

Thats my plan too, not hard at all

Never did like the microswitches, pivot piece, or spring for the stick at all so if we’re gonna switch the gate might as well throw cherry micros, a lubed jlf pivot piece (jlf-p-4) and an LS32 spring  Smooth, stiff and quite.

If you have a Micro Center or other computer specialty store around it will probably sell a set of security bits. That’s where I got mine. Neither Home Depot nor Lowe’s had them. Sears does sell a set of security bits but they didn’t have any in stock so I couldn’t check to see whether their set had the proper size. Tri Wing #1-4 are all too large. My small $5 set of security bits only had those four. I had to get a larger set with a fifth bit that was slightly smaller than the others. And then there’s the Nintendo DS which uses a Tri Wing about the size of an eyeglass screw. Micro Center sells an actual screwdriver specially designed for that.

Not without a hell of a lot of work.

Yeah there’s no way to get plexi unless u could get screw in buttons underneath to hold it down.
My unboxing plus opening of the T6 wireless bundle. The stick itself feels pretty awful compared to a JLF.

Ok, now i can say that the mod will be easy after desoldering the stock buttons (and removing that useless pcbs), enough space to work, a jlf will fit in that… with some holes and screws maybe a plexi too.

Thanks for the pics.

You guys think an LS-33 will fit there? Without having to cut down either the shaft or the bottom of the stick casing?

Thanks for the pics to everyone who posted those.

I think i’m going to get this stick. Don’t think that this is going to be that hard to mod, atleast to anyone who has managed to mod EX2.

Can you rip that awfull top-art away as in EX2? If so, lamilabeled custom art will be just great. After someone makes a template for it.

I never realized just how thin this thing was until I had it in hand. I don’t think much of any stick is going to fit in there.

I think even a JLF will fit in there because it’s about as thick as a wii hori stick or atleast REALLY close. and I managed to fit a JLF the wii one.

Nice, the board is common ground based on those pictures… I may pick up a 360 one now.

I just got mine today for PS3 although I haven’t had time to play with it.

Since I am playing with it stock, I am kind disappointed with it. I own a TE stick and a EX2 on my X-Box. The stick on this wireless version is very stiff feeling. The TE has a relatively loose stick and the EX2 is even looser, but this one is considerably stiffer in my estimation. Also, the buttons are incredibly cheap and mushy feeling. This may be a worse stick than the EX2, but I will need to play with it before I can make that call.

And I can also confirm that the PS3 stick does not have a port for a USB cable - it’s batts or nothing.

Also, I think it’s hard to convey how thin and light this thing is. It reminds me of a frisbee

Hopefully it will at least be decent for casual play and not break easily.

an ls-33 fits fine in an fs3/ex2/wii kinda case, I imagine it would fit fine in here.

I find this stick to be alright, I like it a little better than the Hori EX2. The problem I’m having is with the wireless connection locking up (I got the PS3 version btw). I have always had issues with this using my normal PS3 controllers so I was hoping since this has it’s own wireless usb dongle that this wouldn’t happen. I never really understood why this happens anyway. The best answer I was ever able to find was that other wireless devices can cause interference with the controllers signal. But it seems no matter where I take this system I still have issues. And the icing on the cake is I don’t know anyone else who has this problem. Does anyone else know what I’m talking about?
