Hori tekken 6 stick

what exactly are you trying to accomplish? make the stick run off the 5v from the usb instead of having to use batteries? If so, you would want to use a voltage regulator to drop the 5v to a stable 3v.

As an alternative you can just add any uSW you want to the properly keyed Hori Buttons and make them “Real” like I did and save time on filing/grinding the tabs. Colors/Designs are limited however =X

Anyone have a dongle they’re willing to sell? Mine just fried today =(

How’d your dongle break? Just want to know to prevent from breaking mine =X

I wanna know to avoid this too!

sorry for the murkiness in my post…

yes. that is exactly what i am trying to accomplish…

is this the one i need? http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=527

i am sorry if i’m being kinda pushy on this…

While I was disconnecting it from my pc usb i shocked myself with it and boom dead…

So I must warn you all DO NOT touch the metal while disconnecting it!!!

How stupid of a little static to render my stick useless… For a second I tried to get my fix on pad but that only hurt me worse lol. Good news though, I did contact Hori by email at infous@hori.jp and they replied only a day later saying they’ll send me a replacement. I just had to fill out the warranty stuff and a copy of my receipt or picture of the box with the current date for proof. I’m crossing my fingers! I got mine Dec. 29 so it’s way past the 90 days if that’s the term of warranty. They said they would ship out the usb receiver upon reply so we’ll see…

yup, thats exactly what you’ll need. I hope you can read the schematic for the circuit from that link for the calc.

Yay! Modding fun!

Wow, that’s slick. Makes me want to take my T6 out of the box and actually use it.

alright! thanks man…but the schematic is kinda confusing me…

so if i were to tank and gun this by just soldering the 5v into the input and run the 3v line from the battery pack into the output and adjust with a resistor for the 3v, would it work? or would i have
to follow the diagram?

There’s a lot of posts in here to sort through – what are some of the easier mods one can do to improve the quality of this stick? I have a PS3 LE bundle kicking around I bought cheap to resell and I can’t get rid of it – so I think the stick is going to be my backup while I’m getting my TE Fightstick dual modded. I’m just wondering what I can easily do to this stick to improve it for potential regular use.

Thanks.

I’m surprised there’s been no mention of battery life in this thread. How is it? Similar to a wireless 360 controller?

the stick is fine… but replace the buttons with sanwa… very simple to solder

I have some duracell rechargables in mine and they last me a week with consistent play… they never really died on me, i would just take them out and charge them periodically

Thanks for the reply. Probably similar to a wireless controller then - which actually have pretty good battery life, as long as you turn off vibration.
