Hori tekken 6 stick

oops, sorry. i meant to say square and octagonal gates. i edited my original post. i wasn’t referring to 4-way and 8-way joysticks or gates. i know the difference, but i still write it wrong sometimes. lol. i just wanted to know if there would be any significant differences in putting in a sanwa square gate. can anyone confirm the square is smaller in the sanwa over the stock hori gate?

Anyone else, by chance, have their stick freeze up instead of auto-power off, requiring a battery pull? I figure I’ll give one more ask to see if this has happened to any other sticks, as I’d rather not go through the motions to return and replace this stick if it’s just going to happen again.

Thanks alot!

Yes! This happened to me, which is why I ended up taking it back.

I’m not sure if this question has been answered but I was wondering if I could use some of this Hori stick to make my xbox 360 TE wireless? Reason I am asking is because I am getting my hands on one of these for cheap therefore I really do not care if I use it for parts. Any idea? Thanks

Yes you could, but the usb cord in the TE would become useless since the T6 wireless board uses the sync button to connect to the xbox. However, you can use that cord compartment to store a battery casing. You’ll have to figure out whats going to be the sync button on the TE.

I’d get a small button from Radioshack and stick it in the cable compartment.

Ah, yes you could do that.

After taking a look between the two versions of T6 sticks, I noticed that a difference inside the battery compartment. The 360 T6 has a 4 pin header while the ps3 doesn’t. That lil’ bugger has been bothering me. The only thing I can think of is that its a usb line. Could explain why the ps3 version doesn’t have it since it uses the usb receptor piece.

Thank you gentlemen.

Sounds like this is very possible for me to do but without some sort of “how to”, I would be a little lost. Considering I’m still reading up on dual modding my TE stick, how would this mod affect that?

what system version is your TE and T6?

So does that mean we could use that as a charging component?

I keep staring at that thing too and going to dual-mod my 360 and PS3 stick.

I think it’s easier to fit everything into the 360 case and use that 4-pin header for something…

If you wanted to take out the original 360 t6 board and swap it with the microsoft wireless one and have the play and charge cable wired up to that 4-pin header, then yes you could use it as a charging component.

Xbox 360…both.

are you trying to dual mod it or just make a 360 wireless

Honestly, I was looking forward to dual modding it but since I’ll be buying another TE stick, I want to make my current TE wireless with the least amount of effort needed. That’s why I thought of using the T6 just for parts.

How painless do you think this project would be?

making the 360 TE wireless using the T6 board would be painless.

take out the original TE board, swap with T6 board. Wire up all the button wires to the T6 board. add a battery holder inside the cord compartment area and add a sync button (either add a small button inside the compartment or change the back button to sync)

Would I make the usb cable detachable? Could I use the cord to recharge the battery? What about charge and play?

I see what you are accomplishing in the other thread and I have to admit in very interested in seeing your completed work.

you wouldn’t need any usb cord at all if you swap the TE board with the T6 board. The T6 board uses 2 AA batteries. The play and charge kit is only for the microsoft wireless controller. I was able to use a rechargeable battery in my dual wireless because the sixaxis was recharging it not the T6 board.

I discovered a big problem which haunts my (PS3) stick ever since I opened it yesterday-
Sometimes the stick stops responding to input for like 2 seconds. It happens like once per hour or something.
Did it happen to anyone else as well?

Ahh I see. If I want to use the T6 board and the usb option, I’m better off using your method for dual modding? Sorry if I sound ignorant but I’m rather new to all of this. Thanks

also ps3 - happens to me more when i sit behind a couch or something. still happens when theres nothing blocking, just less. thought it could be battery related but i put in fresh ones and it still acts up.

because of this, i only use this stick for practice. its pretty terrible
