You know people have different tastes right?
Of course, so stop bickering about mine.
lol. if you think that’s bickering. thanks for your opinion.
everyone else, we’ll have preorders up soon and a lil’ more info on the stick in due time.
My official price assumption for the Mad Catz version is $149.99
Markman is this the same shell used for the TE-S or is this a new one?
It is the same shape.
The main case is the same shape, the bezel is diff and so is the button layout (obviously).
MarkMan you mentioned before that you have a chrome bezel is it the same design of Soul Edition arcade stick bezel or regular TE, also wondering if it’s a custom paint job you did, can it be purchased from madcatz store someday. Thanks
Actually i didn’t notice the button layout until you mentioned it right now. Thanx, also thanx again for the Namco stick, that is hands down the best stick i’ve seen from you guys.
Any plans on using the Fight Stick Pro Line further down the line?
And (I should start tweeting you), are you guys gonna be making specials every now on then during tournaments (or monthly) like last year for 2012?
I’ll show you one when I get back to San Diego. It’s not a paint job but an actual plated one. No plans to sell it on the Mad Catz store yet, but you never know!
I’m really glad people like the NAMCO Arcade FightStick TE ‘S’! I had a lot of fun working with Namco on that one.
The FightStick PRO will be around, you’ll see
Also there will be a promo for SCR this weekend!
sounds good, i can’t wait. Where is the announcement for the special gonna be here on Tech Talk or where? I actually usually run into the specials here, or somewhere in the forums.
The design for the Namco stick is super clean i was actually hoping to get a stick from you guys for a while (almost unlicensed) and very simple in design, you guys just made it happen. I know the TE Asia is the only TE from Madcatz that is unlicensed, but i hope you guys have success with the namco and reconsider making your own original design, you can tell you guys have the talent to do so.
Nice to hear thanks for the info, can’t wait to see chrome bezel.
Hey Markman,
Is the PCB in the SCV stick new or a pre-existing model. I ask because I have TEasy Strike I am holding off installing for this stick.
Looks like amazon already has the Mad Catz SoulCalibur V for sale
^ Not available for sale yet, the listing isn’t updated. They should be up for preorders. Amazon will fix it in the coming days. ^.^
That makes sense
Its cool amazon will carry it that means free super saver shipping.
Just placed my pre-order on gameshark store via MadCatz site using SRKDOTCOM coupon code for 10% off, Thanks MarkMan for this great fightstick.
Anyone know if I order one from Amazon as it is now, if it’ll update to reflect it as a pre-order?
I looked at Hori’s website today and there was a press release for the SC5 stick that clearly stated Sanwa parts were being used in this stick
Not trying to be rude but but did you read this thread post by post, originally Hori was using there own parts and then on Dec.08 they changed press release to reflect switch from Hori parts to Sanwa, read post #116 on page 3 of this thread. Also Markman and other members that were at NEC XII saw fightstick in person and some got to play around with can confirm that the demo units were all using Hori parts at the time, but now is being manufactured with all Sanwa parts.
