I believe you have to make an Amazon.jp acc.
One would think (as I did) that with one company one needs but one account. Thank you.
You have to go though a middle man service like Tenso to get one because Amazon.jp needs to ship the stick to a japanese address which will run you about $650.00 or you can go to Akihabara shop at http://www.akihabarashop.jp/ and see if you can get one of the ones they have for sale. I have no idea how much they are charging for them though.
I like the “Diamond” edition more than the normal, red RAP Premium. To bad I am too poor to afford it.
Well, I caved in & purchased it the moment I saw the pics in that link, thanks! I knew it was going to have stainless steel surround but W-O-W, absolutely gorgeous! Can’t wait for my 3rd VLX!
Yeah man. After spending so much on this stick, I regret not getting a shipping option with tracking. Still waiting for mine.
They told me it was gonna be ~$110 (boat 3-4 weeks with no tracking AND no insurance) or ~$195 (air 5 business days with tracking AND insurance) for shipping. As much as I didn’t wanna pay for the latter, I felt as if I had no choice just for peace of mind for both tracking info & insurance. Also, I was uncomfy knowing the longer they have the package, the higher the chances of it getting damaged.
How many of these were made?
Wooooo!

More pics from different angles por favor!
AFAIK, Hori usually doesn’t disclose this info. They also don’t announce when they’re ending production until it’s over.
Does anyone know the run of the previous VLX sticks?
Does anyone know of a way to protect the mirrored parts of the art from getting scuffed around the joystick? I thought I saw someone cut to fit a piece of ant-scratch material under the dust cover of an OG VLX…
couldn’t you just use a felt bottom for it?
could but it will still scratch it plus it will absorb dust and debris that will scratch. Someone needs to design a shiftier boot for sticks I dont know if it would be very pretty though o_O
You can just leave the top dust cover off if you’re so concerned or apply a clear bra around the area, like they do on cars.
Received it earlier today & W-O-W-!-!-! Absolutely stunning even more so in person! Like the MickeyD’s commercial…I’m lovin it! Some pics:
Who makes the button plugs provided with the VLX?!? Curious because both this & the regular VLX came with button plugs that has a slight texture to it compared to the smooth surface on the one’s made by Sanwa. It’s kind of annoying but it doesn’t bother me too much. You can see it in this pic (Sanwa on the left & Hori VLX supplied on the right):
Damn, that’s Nucking Futs!
Congrats!
LOL, thanks!
May I ask how you acquired yours, and how much it cost you total?
If you hurry, aki shop has one left, which is where he got his. It’s about $600 shipped with tracking and insurance from japan. They offer a cheaper boat shipping method, but it doesn’t have insurance or tracking. I’d email and pm therealneogeo if you really want the last one.
