Hori Hayabusa unboxing + mods!

Take apart the stick and put it back together again. Make sure everything is lined up perfect and make sure there is no debris in the pivot.

I could do that, no problem. I just didn’t think it was necessary since putting the stick in the VG:HG feels perfectly fine, but mounting it in the SCV:TE does not feel the same. But I’ll do another good check to make sure everything is clean and aligned up.

While you’re at it check the switches and make sure they activate and deactivate smoothly. If you have to, take the case cover off (it’s easy) and make sure the switch assembly internals aren’t jumbled.

Did everything, all pieces are in place and working just fine. Testing everything out while in my VS:HG. Works fine as intended and all things are working. But whenever its in the SVC:TE it just snags, even when I triple check to make sure nothing is in the way. Not sure why it keeps snagging. I may have to just deal with using it in the VS:HG instead.

Anyway to take a video? Can you pull the metal panel out and move the stick and see if it still snags? That way you might be able to see what it is snagging on.

I don’t think it’s the joystick assembly. If Dark has it working in the same case with 0 issue I’m confident that it’s something with the install itself.

Sadly I haven’t found anything yet. Clean install. Yet refuses to work properly. I just went ahead and left it in my Virtua Stick: High Grade. Still looks very nice.

It’s odd that you can replicate the same issue even if the top panel is disengaged from the SCV stick. If that’s the case, then something may be off with the mount/mount plate.

Can you take a pic of the joystick in the exact state that it is in before you mount it on the top panel of the SCV?

It is okay, I moved on. Leaving it in my VS:HG since it works perfectly fine in that case. I’ve got everything assembled and packed up.

The Hayabusa stick does not fit into the Razer Atrox (final version). There is a piece of plastic that blocks insertion, which will have to be removed before the stick can be mounted.

EDIT: You can install the Hayabusa, however the PCB cover for turbo/guide needs to be removed. Next page for more details.

Any chance you can take a pic? My Atrox is being modded right now and when I get it back I hope to pop in my h-stick.

What plastic piece?

Please take a pic. Are you installing it with the H mounting plate or JLF? Is it the body or the plate that doesn’t fit?

Okay, so after some inspection, you can install the Hayabusa just fine, however you have to remove the plastic cover that protects the turbo/guide PCB.

This is what it looks like after removing the cover:

You have to remove this plastic piece to install the Hayabusa (I haven’t tried this, but it seems like this is what’s blocking the PCB connection:

Does anybody know of another gate that would fit fairly easily on to the Hayabusa that isn’t a JLF gate (circle specifically)? I drilled one of mine out and it works great but when I go around the gate I can feel the insert make noise and I get a small movement. It really doesn’t affect my play at all but it bothers me regardless. Would an LS-56 8way gate (dremel to make circular) work or is there another option? Or an LS-32 triple restrictor? I do believe I read either in this thread or another about the possibility of custom gates coming out soon from PAS or elsewhere.

Thanks.

@Amerika - In TT, anything is possible.

I’m totally doing that ls56 mod. Too sick.

What LS-56 mod?

Maybe he means using the levers. It’s not a bad mod, gets you a bit faster engage, but you don’t get as good diagonals because the levers aren’t long enough. Still not a bad mod to do.
