herro I rike :china:
SIX DAYS from California to Maryland
I think the Kaimana is in order, I think you agree.
I ordered a Hayabusa and they sent it out UPS on Monday from Gardena, CA and I live in Kansas City and it will be here tomorrow. It’s already here in KC but I can’t pick it up from the depot. Of course right now I have my LS-56 setup so nice it is going to be hard to tear myself away from it.
Yeah, you got me convinced enough to give it a go which is why I ordered it. Tonight I was able to pull 76 straight hits doing Oni slash loops after I put in a PAS 3LBS spring and an aluminum bat top on the LS-56. It’s not impressive by many peoples standards but it was good for me as I think my previous record was in the 40’s. So the Hayabusa has some work to do!
I do have a Sanwa circle gate sitting around waiting to be drilled and fitted on to the Hayabusa and I also ordered extra JLF springs (2, 3 and 4lbs) to fit into it if I think it’s a bit loose. I am prepared!
Ok, so I got my Hayabusa tonight. I swapped in a 3LBS JLF spring and put on my aluminum bat top and went to put the top back on and found out that due to the location of my neutrik I can’t seat the top properly because of the size of the Hayabusa. And it’s no simple matter to relocate it as this stick has PS4/XB1 support modded in via toggles and those plus the 360/ps3 part all runs off of the one cable coming from that neutrik as Gummo worked some magic to get it all working smoothly.
The really sad thing is you were RIGHT on the money @iNENDOi and this thing feels like a better LS-56. That is the exact way I’d describe it too. I put some pieces of cardboard underneath so I could play with it for a while in ghetto fashion and it’s so buttery smooth it’s unreal. I wish I didn’t like it so I could go back to the LS-56 and not care.
I guess if I wanted to get around this I could get some black plastic that is ~1/2 inch, cut it to size, drill holes and buy some longer screws and raise where the top attaches. Assuming I could find black plastic like that it would fit the look of my stick and not seem out of place (it’s all black). Does anybody have any better ideas or thoughts?
pics? i’d like to see what you’re working with.
Sure. I already put my LS-56 back in but you can see where the issue is. I simply can’t get enough clearance to put in the Hayabusa.

I also installed a Hayabusa in a TE. You can just deremel the piece out, or even just snap it out with pliers.
I believe my problem is on the right side where I have a Neutrik installed in a spot that most people don’t as shown in picture 1 of my previous post. At least I am somewhat sure as it’s almost impossible to see anything. I have a TE-S if that makes any difference. If I need to remove that I’ll go ahead and do it but I’m not sure that will resolve my issue.
I located my Neutrik where the start button was, select is remapped to the Turbo button.
Then again I use a Toodles Kitty TE
@Amerika Try cutting off the piece first because that’s going to be a problem and stop you from mounting Hayabusa anyway. Then if it still doesn’t fit we can go from there.
I use Toodles Kitty TE as well But I also have a PS4 and XB1 padhack in here running off of that same Neutrik. And I would have preferred it being placed where the select button is but I didn’t have a choice in the matter as I didn’t set that part up myself. I wasn’t using the Neutrik when I installed my Kitty. Gummo wired the padhacks up and used the neutrik and did a rather amazing job too outside of the unfortunate location.
I’ll do that @Moonchilde.
Ok, I cut off that piece and I still do not have room. I took a couple of pictures that will tell the tale I think.
Here you can sort of see where it’s sitting.

Here is a wider view of it.

And here is a very unhelpful animal that that is feeding off of my tears.

My Hayabusa came in today (drum roll)… and it doesn’t fit in my 360 Brawlstick (not enough clearance where the home/turbo PCB is mounted). I’ll hook it up in my MAME/PS2 arcade tomorrow (with a JLF in the 2P controls, for comparison’s sake), assuming my new panel is delivered. I could throw it in the TE, but I don’t see that getting much use once I have the arcade panel.
Edit- double post
@ you might have to rotate the PCB/ micro switch assembly
If you do this you also have to adjust your joystick wire harness to account for the change
@Amerika are you able to unscrew the bottom panel and then take a look at it from underneath? That will tell you if it’s hitting the neutrik or not.
I’ll try that if the H. wins me over enough that I want more of them. Decided to go ahead and throw it in my DIY padhack stick tonight- the verdict is still out. Didn’t expect the throw to be so long, given the usual lamentations about throw distance seen here.
