practice makes perfect. you will get it. it took me like, an hour solid per day for like 3 days in training mode. you can also drum on your desk or knee or whatever flat surface to get your speed up when away from the game.
A simple test to see which method of pianoing jab HHS is best for you,
Put your fingers on your stick normally and start drumming from lp,mp,hp (1,2,3,)
do this about 5 times
Now, do the same thing, but in reverse starting from hp,mp,lp (3,2,1)
and do this about 5 times as well.
Which way felt more natural and easy to do? If it was 1,2,3, then you should try learning to piano jab HHS with lp,mp,hp,lp,hp (1,2,3,1,3)
If 3,2,1 felt more natural, then you should learn to piano it Mr.SNK’s way with lp,hp,mp,lp,hp (1,3,2,1,3)
For those of you struggling, just practice it slowly at first. You need to get your muscle memory down for the movement, to the point where you dont even have to think about what button you should be pressing next. It took me a week to learn how to jab HHS, and I dont even have a console system of my own to practice it on. Keep with the practicing the motion all the time, even when you are not playing (thats what I had to do). Start out slow, make sure you are getting each and every hit correctly… when you get used to the motion, try increasing the speed a little bit. Find a speed where you are most consistent in getting each and every individual button press. Once you have that speed where you are comfortable with it, do it over and over, non stop for a few minutes. Each and every time you practice it, try it a little bit faster and faster, if you mess up, start over again. Remember, once you are finally able to do jab HHS, you want to keep consistency, so when you do find the correct speed, practice your button presses at that same speed.
Hope this helps to anyone that is having trouble with it =/
The reason your hands move you backwards is most likely because you’re holding down back and accidentally getting lp.Hands instead of hp.Hands. With hp.Hands, Honda will take a step forward. With lp.Hands, Honda will stay in place, and is able to be influenced by whichever direction you’re holding the stick. Ex.Hands produce the same ability to move, but to a much greater extent.
You just have to keep practicing. My middle finger (and pretty much everyone’s middle finger I’ve seen posting here) is usually the culprit when trying to learn HHS. Do what Slappy said right above this post.
hi there!
i’ve been a honda player since vanilla but have always had problems trying to EX hands consistently.
i normaly piano the HHS and can jab into fierce hands consistently but trying to EX has always been a problem.
i use an mad catz SE stick and figured out that if i bind the LB to LP+MP+HP, i could use the same piano method but stretch my finger to the bind button rather than normally hitting fierce. using the pinky may also work but i found that to be more inconsistent.
now i’m aware some players don’t use 8 button set ups but this has been the best way for me to launch Ex HANDS consistently so far/
here’s my ass tutorial…you shouldn’t even watch it i almost choked making it rofl!
you should make a tutorial how to punish rufus U1…
lol Handsome Fighters never lose battles.
Is the c.lp supposed to combo into Hands. I cant make it combo. My input are clean. If i do it too fast nothing happen otherwise
my hands are blocked. Sorry for the neb question I am just ramdomly trying Honda.
Edit: never mind my question, i didnt realise how fast you had to do it to make it connect.
Actually it fairly easy with my left hand…
i have a question does hitting lp hp mp lp hp come out as lp hhds ro do you have to hit lp twice
Whatever your 5th input is determines which strength of HHS honda attacks with. So if you end with Lp you get Lp HHS.
No i meant when you do his Bnb lp into hhds does the first lp of the five punches counts as the lp or do you push lp twice.
oh srry, yh the first lp counts towards the 5 inputs.
its probably mentionned before but just flatten your finger and its really easy.
I don’t know if this is the right place to ask this but, Can someone help me link HHS to HHS, when do i start the second hhs. I can get it about 30% of the time but i never try in matches. I can get it if i mash HP sometimes but i Just don’t know the timing.
Here’s a tutorial video i made for a class last year let me know what you guys think

I always think of the timing HHS -> HHS as finishing the last input of the second HHS (the HP) at the same time like if I was linking the standing HK.
I had difficulty at first since my piano method timing was not “standardized” but when it had a nice rhythm to it, it was easy to do.
im having a hard time connecting the st. HK after HP HHS. should i be mashing it? plinking it? or what. i cant find anything consistant…
The link is pretty easy, you can plink with mk. Go into training mode and watch as the opponent flinches after HHS, you should be kicking at that moment.
After all the afternoon learning to do this because I’m gonna try to level up my Honda, the easiest way to cancel HHS from crouching jab is:
lp mp lp mp hp
