Honda HHS Tutorial Video

Not sure if anyone’s done this, but had a quick look at input requirements off a standing jab and crouching jab and standing medium punch with a programmable stick.

Must hit all 5 inputs within 16 frames (frame 0 being the frame where first jab is pressed, F15 being the final frame when a punch is pressed.) Actually this is probably just the cancel window for those moves, given that Ochio follows the same requirements (last frame to input b+punch is F15).

Can’t have more than 9F between inputs (but not like that’s going to happen when done by hand anyway. (e.g. 4th input on F5 and 5th input on F15 won’t work). It does however mean that the slowest you can input HHS is 37F (0-36 inclusive).

Crouching LK looks like its 13F

that’s how I do it, no one else seems to like doing it that way but i find it the best.

For EX Hands I have played around with a few techniques but I am finding the most success with HP MP LP then mash all three at once… for some reason the 3P Button doesn’t work the way i want it to… for example i was hoping i could go HHS my normal way, then simply move over 1 position and go MP HP MP HP 3P but it doesn’t seem to work, I get just HP as an input for some reason.

Ive recently changed the button layout on my stick which has helped me doing ex hands more consistently so I thought Id share it. I used to play on default button settings with lb and lt unassigned but now Ive moved my punches and kick buttons to the right with X unnassigned and the A button as x3 punches. When I put my fingers on the Y,RB and LB buttons to do regular hhs my thumb naturally rests on the A button so now I can do ex hands with my 5th input as x3 punches using my thumb. It feels really easy for me to do it so hopefully it helps someone else out there and hopefully it makes sense lol

I got the HHS technique down on a Saturn controller. tap LP with index then tap HP with middle finger then slide index finger from LP, MP, HP = see it come on a a Saturn pad

left hand press lp. right hand press mp hp mp hp 12323

ex : left hand press lp right hand mp hp mp lp plus hp 1232 13 thumb plus middle finger

Today I finally got this shit down. I mean, just the basic cr.lp into HP HHS. I took me about a week of trial and error, to get the “rhythm” and speed on my fingers, but I pulled it. I used the method suggested by the OP (lp, hp, mp, lp, hp), so my sincere thanks to him. What the hell, thanks to all of you. I’ve read the whole thread and ppl shared interesting and useful stuff for different ‘tastes’. I even tried that “slide” thingy, but my arm and wrist get tired fast with it.

Anyway, now the the real training begins: effectiveness.

Learning ex. hhs because Honda still sucks in ultra and I’m trying to make it less boring, I use the method above consistently (13213). And since I piano from right to left naturally, would 13213(piano) + 123(together) work for ex. hhs?

Another method I’m considering is 1(slight pause) 321(piano) +12(together) for ex hhs.

Trying to learn a decapre method also for rapid dagger but if I can pull off Hondas ex hhs I’d probably play her less and only for mouse match-up

The last input needs to be the one that is 2+ buttons. The way you described just now is just Jabx F.HHS.

Try doing: 13212+3. Should feel about the same as 13213, just one extra button.

Am i the only one who struggles with linking lp after EX HHS? I can’t for the life of me get it down consistently the timing is weird for some reason there’s so much going on in the street with all the yellow and all dem hands and hit sparks i never know when honda is done wrecking the opponent up…

There’s 7 hits to EXHHS so just count the hits and find where the link timing is. It’s easier now that the link is 2f instead of 1f. Just practice practice practice.

Thanks a bunch, i’ll try counting the hits this time should help

I’m getting close. I can do it off a jump in but not raw. My inputs are clean and swift and I feel like my execution is on point but it’s like I’ve hit a wall because I just can’t make my fingers move any faster and my hand gets tired out quickly. Is this something that’s likely to improve at a reasonable rate with further practice? Because right now It’s like I’m not physically strong enough to play this character.

Hang in there, it’s a matter of time. You’ll make it, man. I’ve been through the same feeling about my hand/wrist being “tired”.
