Any techniques for jab xx EX.HHS? I’ve been trying to consistently do
:lp:
:hp:
:mp:
:lp:
:mp::hp:
but I only get it about 50% of the time. Also, any help with the 1-frame link after EX.HHS?
since we end our jab hands/ex hands the same way i can tell you pretty much after ex hands hits what i do is count…ya strange… 1-2-3-4-5-6/7 sooo after the 6th or 7th hit, depending on your piano speed, is when you can piano another jab ex hands or jab hhs. Training mode is the only way this will even become close to 50-60% successful
I’d just like to post again about the characters who you can jab HHS directly into EX hands(no 1frame jab necessary)
Juri
Abel
Seth
Gief and Thawk can be jabbed fp hhs fp HHS fp hhs so it should be a 19 hit meterless combo on the ground
if there are any other characters that allow either of these combos PLEASE post it
P.S. dont be afraid to butt slam hakan, unless he has ultra 2
HHS, EX.HHS, c.lp hp.HHS (s.hk will whiff) hits on:
Gief, GK, DH(*s), BL, CH, HO, Dict, AK(*s), GU(*s), Box(*s)
Standing FE, CA, GU(*s), SA(*s), Claw, AB, RU, DA(*s)
Crouching RY, KE, SE, VI, EF, RO, GE
(*s) indicates that the some hits of EX.HHS will whiff but the last hit doesn’t so you are still at +4 frame advatage.
These crouchers are unsafe because the last hit of EX.HHS will whiff
FE, Claw, AB, RU, SK, DA
I believe it works on Cody, Hakan, DJ and Duds but I probably need to retest.
i’m confused if the ex hhs hits at all and you are moving forward how do they miss some hits towards the end? I’ve never seen this posted before very interesting stuff
I do
:lp:
:mp:
:hp:
:mp::hp:
:mp::hp:
for c. LP -> EX HHS with an almost 100% success rate.
Slide
:lp:
:mp:
:hp:
and then doubletap :mp::hp:.
If you’re doing it right you won’t hear much noise coming from your buttons.
Question on how to do FP HHS. I can piano the jab one (I think, 13213?) so what would I need to do FP HHS?
…
that is the method for cr.lp into FP HHS
…
Do you guys think I can pull of HHS ?
I play on a stick but my buttons are like this:
HP LP MP
HK LK MK
Wow, what an awkward set up… but yeah… i think you can do it…
try doing 2,1,2,3,1
or 2,1,3,2,1
just get 5 inputs starting with LP and making sure you end with HP.
I’m curious to know how you ended up with that button config in the first place.
ugh…i would go…23321 for cr.lp into f.HHS
you can rock your hand back and forth if that makes it easier if you piano.
If you do a slide method, you can slide past mp and back to it so you hit MP twice. Just end it on FP naw mean.
Well, wen I first started playing on a stick (about a year and a half ago) it seemed like a good idea.Not so much anymore. I’ve been thinking of learning the lp mp hp ect. confing but it will take some much time and I’ll have to relearn everything (I play about 4 chars atm).Also I think I’m doing quite fine with my current config except for some stuff (like the HHS).
Anyway, after few days of trying different shit I’m able to do the HHS about 90% of the time in training mode and about 60%-65% in real matches which is not so bad after only 4-5 days of practice I would think.
What I do, is slide 21321 with my middle (lol) finger.Took me some time to find a way that works for me but I think, this is it.Only time will show tho jiz.
Now, I only need to find a way to do EX HHS on my config (if there is one )
sometimes my brain goes on fire when I do these… I get tense hoping not to fuck up and my brain starts to hurt so I need to take breaks from playing Honda (and others with mash inputs)
I got the HHS going on Saturn Pad lol all Slide
1, 2, 3, 2, 3 on a Saturn pad slide that index (I play with a claw grip not thumb on a pad)
I’ve been finding the most success with 12123 … but with sort of a pianoing motion, not sliding. is there any reason that’d be a bad motion? Hardly see anyone mention it.
pianoing does not come naturally to anyone i dont believe… you see everyone talking about practicing away from the stick to make their fingers go left to right…i do see the validity in your method however i just like being able to go 1-2-3 then when i press jab again i can hold it down and slam down 3 very quickly
I’m trying to learn Honda, and I’m practicing the 1-2-3-1-3 method (no slide) and i’m always getting a EX HHS.
Are Plinks working backwards now? (when you hit a weaker normal before the stronger one?)
When I see my input in training mode I see something like this:
LP+HP
LP
HP
MP
LP
But I’m pretty sure i’m not hitting LP again.
Any tips?
New method!
Ok since nowbody helped me I just spent a lot of time on trinning mode.
I can’t for the life of me hit 5 buttons in that small time window, so after reading my own post here ("plinks working backwards) I discovered a new way to do it with only “3” inputs!
It’s not really three, it’s five, but it feels like three!
Ima call it the "reverse Plink method"
Basicaly you Plink backwards (from a weaker normal to a stronger one), like this:
Hit Jab with your Index, and almost at the same time, hit Strong with your Medium. Exactly like you would do a Plnik.
Do that twice, and the hit Fierce with your Ring finger (don’t know that name of the finger, I’m from Brazil so I don’t know english, sorry).
Do it in trainning mode and you’ll get something like this:
:hp:
:lp::mp:
:lp:
:lp::mp:
:lp:
I can’t film it right now, but test it yourself! Since your are doing two Plinks, you get four inputs but it feels like your pushing the buttons only two times, it’s almost like if you do this:
:hp:
:lp::mp:
:lp::mp:
But the LP will come out since you hit it first!
I’m doing it way more consistently than any other way I tried. I just need to train muscle memory now to do a backward Plink instead of a normal one.
Please comment on my method!
Instead of using the double plinky reverse triple tap like the above post I have noticed an easier way to do HHS. First, you get yourself a reclining computer chair. Sit in your chair and then lay your fight stick on a flat surface higher than your knees. Reach your feet up on the te stick, and do the first four inputs with your hands then double tap heavy punch with your big toe.
Oh, btw I think your method is stupid.
if you are used to going from harder input to lower input, why don’t u stick with 1-3-2-1-3?
THat essentially is jab, piano all 3, fierce.
I can’t do it consistently,but more than often i get it to come out. which is an improvement over last week which was an improvement over the week before. Just pick one and stick with it. I’m gonna try the method you put up just to see if its fast. Although, muscle memory is a hard thing to break.
@kensanity: I just can’t do 5 separated inputs yet. And I did like 15 jab x HHS in a row with this “reverse plink”. I don’t know if I should keep trying the regular one or just stick to my own.
@s1dth3squ1d: care to explain why my method is stupid? Seems like you didn’t even try it. Maybe if this was a Mr. SNK post, you would be sucking his balls right now. But who cares about the unknow guy here that can’t even write proper english right?
