Fast sets are lame imo, no chance to miss an Ultra or FADC… Not cool in my book.
I can’t get cr.mk xx hands. I’ve tried the slide motion and only get strong hands instead of fierce hands.
what method are you using for c.lp into hands?
If you piano, try hitting both mk + lp at the same time with your index/pointer finger. It might feel a bit awkard at first, but this is the method i use because i cant slide for shit. Anyways, I just started using this method about a week ago, and I am now 100% consistant with c.mk into hands.
I use only slide for my hands and I got c.mk down pat a few months back… My method is using a partial “claw” hitting the forward with my thumb then index hitting jab and middle hitting strong and sliding just like jab hands. basically its jab hands with a forward input in front first. This works well for slide method after trying so many different ways.

I think its when a button is assigned to be multiple buttons… like on default settings with the SF te/se sticks… wher ethe last buttons are set for PPP or KKK. Dunno, Im just guessing here.

alrighty… i just got aim installed and added you, man it has been years since I have used AIM. I should be getting another chance to play again this weekend, so I will try to get some of my matches recorded. We have a couple of good players here in Indiana, one really good boxer, and one really good claw. Can’t seem to get the claw match up down… though I am getting better at fighting him. I dunno, I guess its because I have so little practice against claw players, as we really only had one person back in SD that used claw.
Also, I was informed that I am going to be getting a little over 500 dollars in tax refund, so I should be getting my own console soon… finally lol. I have not had a console since I begun playing sf4. Hopefully with more time to practice on my own system, and not having to wait like once a week to do casuals, tourney, ect… I can get even better with honda. Thinking about getting a 360 since thats what most people here play on… plus my stick is for 360 anyways.
for cr.LP into HP HHS: I use a hybrid method of Mr.SNK and his friend’s methods
Piano cr.LP w Index, MP w Middle then Slide with index from LP, MP, HP
(piano 1,2, index slide 1,2,3)
for cr.MK into HP HHS: I use an entirely slide method
cr.MK w Thumb then slide with the Index HP, MP, LP, MP, HP
(thumb 5, index slide 3,2,1,2,3)
i use the 1,2-1,2,3 method too but i get ex-hands way too much. also i get ex-hands way more when i combo from a jumping attack. for example, jmp.rh to cr.lp hhs. when i’m just doing cr.lp hhs from the standing position i get it probably 8 out of 10 times but from a jumping attack i’ll get ex-hands like half the time. pretty frustrating. maybe i’m doing it too quick?
i gotta try that hybrid…never wouldve thought of that.
After trying Mr.SNK method for the better part of vanilla with no success, I’d decided to change it up a bit. With a newly modded stick, I began to forgo the piano method and opt for that slide methond.

To my amazement, I’ve been hitting it with a high success rate and already applying them to various BnBs. I’m currently working on fadc hands into command throw/super, something I never thought possible with the former. So then the boy became a man :woot:
I would have never thought of that hybrid method, thats an awesome find. I gotta see if I can do that, but then again I am very consistant with snk’s method… maybe I will show that to a couple of my friends that are trying to learn it, and cant piano, or slide very well.

for me… i piano snk style, so for ex hands, i go 1,3,2,1,2+3
But i never use ex hands, unless if wanna be flashy and waste my full super bar and doe cr.lp ex hands, cr.lp e ex hands, cr.lp ex hands, cr.lp ex hands, cr. lp hands

Does LordDVD use a sliding method on pad? Because I use a similar method (unchanged controls): thumb slides from LP(Square) to MP(Triangle)x2, tap HP (R1 button). 99% success rate. I piano the same sequence on stick, left to right feels more natural for me.
I do the same thing you do with that second combos (Cr.Mk into HP HHS) but I def. need to try that first one, sometimes its kinda hard for me to do jab into heavy hhs. And also I never tried using my thumb usually what ive been doing (mind you ive been playing honda for 2 days) is just slide right off the bat but sometimes I get crouching strong. So when I try to mix it up and do like crouching short to hhs I have to like race to the punch buttons LMAO, thinking about it and trying to imagine it, its pretty funny…and painful lol it really does hurt. But TY for saying that about the thumbs~!
