ex hands mashed will be more effective
nice, thanks jewelman
I have got to be late to the party on this one but just in case… this is the only tutorial you need.

^rofl
Because I’m using a hrap ex I can’t really reliably use the knuckle on my middle finger without hitting “start” by accident every now and then, so I’m using the finger tip of my index finger to slide, for c.lp xx hhs as well as c.mk xx hhs. Can get the former 8/10 (once I only got c.lp, and once I got :mp: hhs) so…whatever works imo. Sliding lp, mp, lp, mp, hp, just gotta be clean about it. Tried pianoing but that was like 1/10 so screw that for now.
Anyway, thanks for all the great vids in here, watched all of them and they sure helped (if only to further strengthen my believe that my technique is perfectly valid).
I just recently started doing the slide method. I kept messing up when i would do lp mp lp mp hp like the guy in mr.snk’s video, (i’d go too far over mp or not far enough)
so I modified it a little bit… and wow. SO EASY.
The way I do it:
change your binding of triple punch to be light punch. So the 4 buttons on the top row of your stick is-> l.p - m.p - h.p - l.p
then, just slide all the way over to light punch, then slide all the way back.
Most tournaments won’t let you bind 3 buttons to one Orgebait.
lp-hp-mp-triple-mp-hp works when sliding as well, for me at least. triple punch+mp counts as one input when i do it.
What tournaments are these? I’ve never seen this rule before.
I use Turbo
MrSNK OCV’s on turbo
yep thats the way to do it… turbo mode on, hold down fierce, i win! damn i miss sfII turbo
So it’s been many months but I still have a 0% success rate with HHS without remapping PPP to a second jab. I practice frequently, play a lot of matches, can do HHS x2 link about 50% of time.
Piano 13213 = jab xx nothing. If I slow it down I get jab, HHS no combo. I have NEVER gotten a combo’d piano jab xx hands in a match or in practice mode.
Slide 12123 = jab xx nothing.
Slide 12323 = jab xx nothing.
Slide 12343 = jab xx HHS 100%
Whyyyyyyyy :wasted:
12313 is my preferred method
dunno what to tell you man =/ keep practicing? For me, I couldnt get hands in until i switched out my stock SE buttons for sanwa buttons. Just keep practicing, and try out new methods.
If all else fails, just pull a mr.snk and use turbo
yeah practice
here’s a method of practice i mentioned to a youtuber on one of my videos, this is an indirect way of getting the timing and speed down for the inputs:
indirect method of learning timing
Spoiler
link to my video, c.mk xx HHS slide:
"…if you need to get the timing down. you can use two hands in training mode to help you hear the timing.
for example: left hand’s pointer on LP and then your right hand’s point and middle finger on MP and HP. just piano it and see how fast you have to do it. and see how slow you can do it and get away with it."
I use this. The way I learned was to start slow, train my fingers to do the motion RIGHT.
PRACTICE!
Practice makes pattern, not perfect. If you practice incorrectly then it’s not helping. Slow down, do the inputs in the right order all the time, every time. Speed can come after.
I work a desk job, so I started by first doing the piano motion on the desk. Timing didn’t mater, since I just needed the muscle memory first.
I got hands down in a few days, not saying that’s going to happen, but by ensuring that you practice correctly each time…results will follow.
$0.02
i messed around with alot of methods before I picked up 12313, I tried 13213, slide, 12123, but once I trained my fingers to hit 12313, i’m able to hit hands consistently now, just like wherever u are (work, school, walking, etc) just go thru the motions of whatever piano u wanna use, you’ll pick up speed with u get the muscle memory.
Also, how is everyone doing ex hands? I’m interested in the ex hands x jab x hands x st. rh combo
mash hard for ex hands lol

just came across this vid of how LordDVD does his hands on his fightpad…
wow i never knew he played on pad… his hands execution is amazing for pad.
