I think it’s worth it to practice the ex HHS jab f.HHS link just in case ex comes out, just be prepared to hold forward (if you don’t plan on super canceling there’s no point in holding charge in the middle of your HHS anyways). I got to play at dreamlabs last week, one of the rare times I’ve gotten to play good players offline, and I actually managed to jab ex HHS, jab, HHS RH a couple times and got some props. But every ex hands I did was a total accident.

I’ve since started switching over to slide method though with j,m,j,m,h, and now I almost never see ex hands come out. When I mess up I either get m. HHS, or nothing, because sometimes my hand gets stuck mid slide (I should probably wear a glove). But I think it’s a better alternative to getting accidental ex HHS, because now I actually get full meter almost every match. Unfortunately since I have no experience actually getting to use Honda’s super, I still suck at canceling properly, I’ll land jab hands and then I’ll just sit there thinking “hey I could cancel super off this, or off another set of hands” but by then it’s too late and I even miss the RH. I can do it fine in training mode so I just need more experience with it I guess.

EX HHS to HHS to EX HHS (I’m pretty consistent in linking all of them) and a mixup of them both is good for a option select to ochio (and when SSF4 comes out, his second ultra can be put into the mix). That mixup alone can do a lot of stun too if done right. You can also end with regular HHS and hold your charge and react to whatever your opponent is going to do next. Did they jump? Counter with jab headbutt, butt stomp, s.fierce, jump back fierce. Did they jump straight up? Did they jump back? Headbutt, HHS juggle to ultra, ultra, etc. Are they doing nothing? Ochio.

It’s very similar to Blanka’s jab-electric mixup where jab-electric will open up throws and other mixups (hop ultra, hop jab-electric) rinse and repeat.

any word on if the inputs for hhs have been lowered like gens hands in super?

that sounds silly lol making honda easy to use but i have one question…will picking 2nd ultra still allow you to use headbutt super… i heard speculation if thats truth this game is like idk…everything i ever dreamed lol

ummm its really not that hard to land jab head butt into super or hhs into super or fullscreen eagle eye and as far as ochio ultra…ya i’ll learn how to play like gief once i get in tick ultra what???

at this point jewel… yes we will still have the same super, but a 720 grab ultra.

also, i really hope they don’t change hhs to 4 inputs. that’s so scrubby. (but i have a feeling that they will :frowning: )

IF its gonna be headbutt super and oicho ultra. thats gonna be the setup for honda for 99% of the players wouldn’t you think?

Oicho ultra is > current ultra

that is UNLESS they made some changes to the headbutt ultra. which would be nice.

but headbutt super + ochio ultra is almost imba!

yeah that will most likely be the setup everyone uses…

however i’m still going to use the hb ultra vs fireball heavy characters since i’m pretty good at reaction punishing their fireballs with it now. not to mention it rapes people for trying to bait your wake up ex head butt with a neutral jump or backwards jump.

Honda will be godlike if his Orochi Breaker will be anything like Gief’s Super Atomic Buster (as in startup speed and range).

I definitely don’t want the input for hhs dumbed down.

Of course, Honda’s current Headbutt ultra will still have its place, even if it’s not buffed up (through fireballs and punishing bad jumpin/jumpaways).

Since gief can do the ultra after a blocked c.lk, do you think honda would be able to do the same?

Also do you think people would fall for HHS fadc ultra? To me, it might only work for a few weeks before people catch on to the mix up.

it depends on the properties of honda’s ultra.

if it starts as fast as gief’s then yes, you can catch them in between a lot of moves and after hhs fadc.
hhs fadc oicho is old as hell and people still get hit by it for some reason. should be same for the ultra.

if it has invincibility (doesn’t look like it) then you could also do it inbetween any missed links or block strings.

his super headbutt can be used to punish full screen fireballs so fuck ultra super headbutt/oichio ultra FTW

I was wondering if anyone knew how to do c.lk x c.jab xx hhs with a sliding method, i been doing c.lk, mash c. jab til it comes out then press fierce

practice with cross over splash into cr lk in training mode you can input the lk at ANYTIME after the splash and that will help teach you the timing of the cr jab

The way I do it is learn the cr. lk x cr. lp link first, then piano the cr. lp to hands after the cr. lk.

ya thanks, i just started practicing it, it hits like 25% of the time, but with practice it will be more efficient
