had this discussion with a friend of mine about whether EX Hands is effective or not in a practical match. Iāve currently been trying cr.lp xx EX hands link into cr.lp xx HP Hands HK as a punishing move.t
On oneside Honda needs EX meter for EX headbutts especially for anti-air in AE.
But my argument was that EX hands is a punishing combo (in regards to the combo I mentioned above) and even if you donāt link, can frame trap into HP hands, butt slam or Ochio after the hands since moving forward brings you very close to your opponent.
(Just a note that I would not use EX hands for grapplers like Gief and Hawk but the other characters still apply)

Ive check Akimo input he does hold stick forward when doing a st.hk after hands. Is there any reason what its not better to keep
your charge and to st.hk with stick back ?
Its an easy link so you get a small walk forward to help it connect.
Thx, you mean if I connect it at the last frame of the 3 frames window Honda will take a mini walk forward instead of backward.
I think Ive played your honda couple of times on Xbox, my game tag is Pranapieton , play Ryu.
Yeah I remember you, good games but your OS SRKās were wrecking me. I gotta just let it ride lol.
But to further the question, yeah. If you hold back there is a chance you might walk just enough to be out of range and whiff the roundhouse, as depending on spacing hitboxes for Hondaās combos are strange and I know Iāve definitely missed it before. Course if you are sure you donāt need the walk forward might as well get a charge ready and see where things go from there. Both are good though.
It got worse in 2012 since OS hp srk gained 1 extra invincibility and do 160 dammage. Use to trade in AE and Ryu had
to use mp srk. Theres really no other choice than to block from sweep safe jump safe up. You may take a gamble vs a throw
set up since you get a good chance to trade or beat Os srk if ryu dont do a perfect safe jump.

Iām having some small problems with cr.jab xx f.HHS.
If I do it off a jumping attack, including jumping RH, I can pull the combo 95%+. However, raw I only pull it about 50 - 60%. Is this anything to do with the jumping attacks hitstun making it easier, or is this just me being a bit rubbish?
Forget my previous post. Been struggling for over a week, post above, then half hour later pulled it raw 20 times in a row.

How exactly do I do cr. mk xx hhs? Iāve seen it done quite frequently by mr. snk and mike ross but I have no idea how to do it

Quick question: is the st.rh after jab handslap plinkable?
Sure. Any link into a normal is plinkable ā just plink with a āweakerā button, and donāt forget that punches are also weaker than kicks of the same strength. Only jabs and standing light kicks are unplinkable (because if you try to plink st.LK with st.LP you just get throw).
Iāve been working on using more EX hands combos, and I connected with my first j.HK, cr.MK xx EX Hands, cr.LP xx HP Hands, st.HK in a match the other day. Feels pretty boss, haha.
Except that you are probably better off double tapping instead of plinking because its a 3f link.
