Good to hear. I reckon similar things could be said about his cl. HK as well. They do have the disadvantage of only coming out at just the right range though, so I’m wary of using them.

All characters should wake-up at the same speed. No reason to give one or two characters faster wake-up speeds. I’m glad it’s being changed. Every little helps towards balancing.

Let everyone have the same dash, jump arc, normal attacks yea lets balance this…

It’s not like it’s a unique property to every character, like normals and dashes, it’s just something that one or two characters have that they don’t really need; hence why Capcom is changing it. If everyone had different wake-up speeds, it’d be confusing, but it’d be fine in this case.

Besides, Adon has a DP and a good dash, so he’s fine on wake-up.

There are at least half a dozen characters that have different wake up speeds. You just don’t notice it because it’s 1 frame difference. Off the top of my head:

Ibuki - 1 frame at least
Fei long - 1 frame at least
Gen - 1 frame at least
Guile - 1 frame at least
Blanka - unknown frame, awkward wake up
Cody - Maybe but can’t test it because he don’t have a reversal

These character will void some safe jump set ups but due to them having a 5 frame reversal, you won’t notice must difference if your safe jump beats 4 frame reversals. With exception of Blanka and Guile. Blanka’s rising vulnerability hitbox is so fucked up that I won’t even bother to jump in on him and Guile’s flash kick works against him on cross ups so there’s no need to safe jump on him.

People are also forgetting that Adon has Akuma health. Faster wake up imo is a good trade for that. Games need to be diverse and give characters unique attributes, not just unique moves to even them out. It makes character. If people are jealous that Adon has the fastest wake up in game, then play Adon. But they don’t because they don’t like the character. But if he wins? Oh shit wake up nerf now!

Akuma have Akuma health. Adon’s health (950) is exceptional better than Gen or ELF. Adon’s trade off for having a quick wake up is his RJ. It sucks.

LK and MK RJ is not reliable outside of combos, MK RJ will still lose to some jump in due to the vulnerability on the feet/shins. LK RJ used as a reversal will get stuffed by a c.jab due to invincibility on ONLY the feet/shins aka you’ll only be able to reversal crouching kick attacks. HK RJ have less range than the shortest throw in the game. It’s a good reversal but alot of the time it will hit outside of the frames you can FADC it.

A little tidbit, MK RJ is consider airborne on frame 7 while HK RJ is consider airborne on frame 6.

Um, Akuma has 850 health, Adon has 950. I’m pretty sure most people would be willing to take 50 health off their main for Adon’s wakeup speed, it’s that good.

I think giving Adon 1000 health if his wakeup speed is made normal is a fair tradeoff.

50 health is nothing in comparison with the bonus his wakeup speed gives. Im not saying ‘oh god please dont remove the wakeup speed’ but adding 50 hp as a tradeoff is a little weak. thats what ? a medium punch ?

Consider that the slower wakeup will probably result in people getting in on adons wakeup easier, and therefore have the chance for more damage than is currently possible, then that 50 hp is nothing.

However getting that 50hp is better than losing the wakeup and getting nothing in return :wink:

That is what I’m saying, and you are proving my point. People are using his slightly lower stamina as an argument for not changing it but his wakeup speed is a HUGE advantage and the 50 damage reduction is practically nothing given that advantage.

If adons wakeup speed is made normal he will get fucked up its as simple as that. Most people that complain about it are people that dont even use adon.

Also bare in mind his RJ on wakeup sucks major ass unless you have meter even then its pretty crap.

…RJ beats most meaty attacks clean. I mean, yeah, it’ll suck not waking up earlier, but it’s not like you’re helpless on the ground. You’re not Dudley, who doesn’t have a single good reversal option without meter. Why does it seem like the whole board thinks RJ is useless?

^ because of its angle and hitbox it can be easily jumped over and if adon has normal wakeup it will be even harder to get right.

And as for dudley whats wrong with jet upper seems like an awsome reversal to me imo anyway not really dabbled with dudley as of late.

Jet upper has a horrible hitbox and limited if any invincibility. If you meaty Dudley and he does jet upper? You win unless you screwed up badly.

@ Neiburo True i think gamerbee has more the proved himself he is an awsome adon easily the best out there. Just watched his FT10 with valle and he played really well.

i would really like this change i combo into it almost all the time i would just like it to be a little faster that is all
