I gotta agree with this. It’s not just the faster wakeup alone but it’s that combined with the fact that his JKs are armor break and each version leaves you in block stun so no counter. You don’t even have to space it right. The only way to beat them is if you see them coming but even top players have trouble with that.
So between nerfing his wakeup or his JK, nerfing the wakeup is the less game altering change.
i still don’t see why scrubs are bitching about his wake up time. he’s not great as far as tiers are concerned, nothing absolutely broken about him (see Balrog/Rufus) low health and shitty damage what else do you guys want to take from him, why not nerf his dash, height restrictions to his IAJK, Alt1 is not allowed in tourney play… will it ever end?

Want to even the playing field? (As if Adon is so top tier, that he can’t be touched.) if they remove his faster wake up, they need to buff the following:
Overhead startup frame
make cl.st. HK a command movei
give him 1000HP,
Make U2 actually not do craptastic damage just cuz of FADC. It should be at least 480-530dmg with FADC. not 400 or like what feels like 300 most of the time.
Then i guess i’ll call it even and he won’t be at an unfair advantage. Currently his wakeup options are the only things that keep him even with others that have higher HPs, better overheads, faster walking speed, stronger comeback potential with their Ultras.
I gettin sick of people who moan about his quick get up! people forget that this game technically is still in its baby stages, not even out year, people should learn there match ups. Its pthetci in all honesty when people who moan " you cant safe jump him", " to hard to pressure him fter knock down" get on my level and learn the match up ffs! People i know are dissing gamerbee for winning Seasons beatings and now beting Valle because of his quick get up!

You Adon players are so greedy 480-530 damage is ridiculous, just for landing a rising jaguar it’s fine as it is I don’t see why they would make it like Ryu and Sagat ultra after a fadc in vanilla. That shit was overpowered and now you want something similar for Adon smh.
Last i checked Ryu and even Sagat can get into ultra much more easy than Adon can, so having a slight damage boost would not be too game changing and maybe justified. I see where you coming from and you got a very valid point, just don’t convey it in such a rude manner next time.
…I just, I just don’t know what to say really. So basically, Bee is ripping players left and right because it’s all a fluke of some sort? I know this post was before SB5, but~ I don’t think we can really say his wins are based on a lack of matchup knowledge.
Anyway, I don’t understand the changes in general being put to the AE version of this game. Super SF4 is one of the most balanced Street Fighters to see release, and now they go throwing too many cooks on the pot and adding their own ingredients to an already delicious soup. They really shouldn’t be messing with things that make characters unique, especially when they’re not that ridiculously popular. I still feel awful for Gen players and their jump being toyed with. Stuff like that just makes for a blander game.
come on, U2 damage is ok. It only gets severely scaled when FADCed, and thats fine!
the thing in landing U2 is not only it damage. U2 puts you in a favorable postion to continue pressure. You should already know that!
i would love being able to cancel jfw mk into air jk though. Im not really sure if that would overpower him (hit confirming into U2 every jump in would be very easy then), but it would make his gameplay even more fun hehe
nah, Adon is fine as it is now. I can live with regular wake up, Adon has a flawed (sometimes it cant be FADCed because of distance) but still very useful reversal. He doesnt really need to wake up faster than the rest of the cast.
as i said previously, better recovery for lk and mk jag tooth is only what he needs (and a few hitboxes tweaks here and there to avoid annoying whiffes).
I would actually go ahead and say that hk. RJ is an alright reversal; it’s very well suited to stopping distant jump-ins and overly aggressive wake-up games. It’s not, however, a good option for jumps ins at ambiguous cross-up range, and none of his ground normals address that problem either; like hk. RJ they’re better suited for distant jump-ins. Adon has to turn to less conventional options such as psychic hk. JKs, psychic neutral jumps normals or forward dashing instead, if he doesn’t want to carry on holding the back button. I’m only saying it’s no Shoryuken.
Also, I must be frank; I don’t consider a change to Adon’s wake-up to be as devastating as some seem to make it out to be, though the prospect of nerfing his somewhat awkward defensive game even a little kinda sucks regardless.
For ambiguous jumpins above his head, I find that normal stand close hp works quite well. If you can get it out, it reliably beats or trades with many air attacks, I’ve even traded with Zangief’s crossup splash with that elbow.
