Fair enough, preferences and all that. And Kazuya’s damage? Oh you have no idea I was gonna link you to some stuff but givin your stance towards the character perhaps you’d be better off not seeing it.
See, it? I have to live it.
It would be more bareable if the move wasn’t also nigh invulnerable and +1 on block.
But that’s neither here nor there. Point Stands, Kazuya has the best damage.
Only losing the JC on block. This will still be valid
Yeah I figured as much because of the heavy forced scaling. There probably aren’t too many real low damage characters. Just a matter of who squeaks out the most with meter techniques.

Abare however, can very wildly. And there are several characters who suck at setting up tag cancel (in most situations).
Just play Steve/Kazuya and add all RED gems. But beware, that’s the most technical team in the game.
Let me add to my previous comment:
The key is ideal situation. In an ideal situation characters do similar amounts if damage.
For example, for Abel, it’s landing a jHP or cHP (grounded), but not all characters will allow him to do either.
Is Steve actually good? Don’t wanna play no mid tier technical character just for damage.
By technical is that just mostly combos or is their spacing/neutral pretty techy also? If its just combos then I’m pretty fine with combo execution. You just sit in training mode till its muscle memory.
I like pianoing on the stick and playing twitchy characters so I don’t really care how technical they are as long as they’re near top tier and don’t have shitty matchups.

Kazuya’s neutral is breeze. He has some of THE best normals and safe boost chains in the world. And when you add EWGF to your neutral game, that puts him way above. Regarding Steve’s neutral game, I couldn’t tell you as I don’t play him. You could ask Ryan Hunter or any other Steve main for advice, in that regard.
But to be honest, that may be the most damaging team in the game. But I feel Kazuya/Zangief is a far more superior team. Both characters have great normals, Kazuya does a ton of damage with EWGF and Zangief is scary at neutral range.
Why play Steve when you can play law.
They aren’t the same obviously, but I feel the full the sane roll in the game, and law is much better.
So is it better to put Law or Kazuya on point?

Well, kaz is a much better character. But in a team kaz and law, I don’t think the order matters much.
Hey, Kuma can get almost 400 off a jab too, and it’s even easier than EWGF!
I think in 2013 Law will definitely be a stronger choice on point for a lot of teams. He’ll have anti air solutions combined with the fact that he has amazing synergy with almost everybody that doesn’t have multiple hits that will scale tag combos.
Eh, I’d still go for Kaz. He’s so simple for so much damage. If anyone learns to EWGF consistently, it’s definitely gonna be a problem for the opposition. Even without it, he’s got high damaging high-low strings baked into him.
Then again, his wake-up is gonna get nerfed…
I still put Law over Kaz. I guess we’ll see.
I remember Mr.Naps was already looking pretty consistent with it. Is it really taking that long for people to get consistent with it?

At least half the people using Kazuya in SFxT aren’t doing EWGF. They are doing WGF and EX-WGF’s. heh
Yeah because it’s hard…people may not realize it but when you say ‘EWGF’ when referring to SFxT Kaz’s lightning, it may not always be the ACTUAL ‘Electric Wind God Fist’. Cause in Tekken, Kaz’s wind god fist is his normal uppercut special, but the fastest input/just frame one is called ‘Electric’ wind god fist, cause when you hit them with it electricity comes out. (also, normal wind got fist is punishable, EWGF isn’t). In SFxT it’s harder to tell, especially since there’s no visual difference besides the speed, you’ll usually know from the hits. In Ver. 2013 however, Kaz glows a purple-ish color when EWGF comes out, so now you’ll know.
Like i said earlier, it’s hard to do. Even if you can wave dash his special step it’s still very hard to do because of timing, and sometimes without a visible confirmation you may not know if you’ve done it. Only training mode’s damage indicator will show the difference. Suparnovax is right, only half the Kazuya players can do it cause it aint easy, hell I’d have to go as far and say I don’t have a clue how to make it happen. It’s a bit like Alpha Patroklos’ just frame moves in Soul Calibur V; really powerful, combo well, but absurdly difficult to do consistently, with some not even sure how to make them come out. If it was so braindead easy then you’d see it happen all the time, and could you imagine in SCV Alpha Pat players doing just frames ALL the time? Nah.
Inb4 Justice sucks and it’s easy anyway
