Highest damage output teams? Gimme Super Turbo/3S damages

I just figured if top players are able to do it consistently in Tekken…shouldn’t be long before people do it in this game. Figured also being a Capcom game people would have found some typical input buffer to make it easier or something.

One would think, however it’s very different to do in SFxT since the way special step works, and subsequently how EWGF works, is different. And as I mentioned above it’s not just the visual confirmation, it’s a matter of not really being sure how fast you need to do it for it to come out. Amazing Kazuya players can do it well sure, but never let it be said that ‘Electric’ Wind God Fist is this dumb move anyone can do for free

It takes a while to master EWGF, every Kazuya player that could do has told me that. Not only do you have to learn how to pull them off raw, you also have to learn how to confirm them off normals. Note, It can be plinked. But I wouldn’t advise plinking it. To be honest, there’s only a few Kazuyas on XBL that have truly mastered it. Hell, even offline people were doing EX Slaughter Hook combos. :frowning:
Just remember: As soon as you tap forward, press your button.

Learning EWGF is like a spirit walk though, everyone finds their own path. And be sure to check out the Kazuya forums. There’s a ton of good information on there. And learn how to do Cr.Mk XX EWGF. That is broken!

Yeah I’ll figure this out pretty fast. I’m already doing a couple in a row consistently in training mode. I wasn’t a serious Tekken player (mostly played it casually) but I could throw around raw EWGF’s pretty easily in training mode in that also. Just something to grind out it looks like.

I’ll have to watch some of Mr.Naps stuff to see how consistent he is and what general stuff he’s doing spacing wise with Kaz. I heard he barely drops it.

Yeah he’s looking pretty consistent.

Oh and there’s definitely a visual difference. The electricity turns purple during EWGF whereas it’s blue during WGF. That + the speed difference makes it pretty obvious. On block it’s really easy since you stay right next to the opponent instead of getting pushback.

Although it will help for spectators or people who don’t play the game seriously after the patch if he will flash purple.

And watch this dude:

And in the grand finals there was a Ryu/Kazuya player. He had EWGF down too.

Oh and watch this:

The electric flashes purple? Dunno what kinda purple cause I’ve never noticed, but fair enough I’ve gotta look closer I suppose. I feel like that last comment was directed at me =s haha The speed difference sure, but it’s not SO obvious that anyone/everyone can tell. And I’m sure it’s not just ‘spectators and people who don’t play the game seriously’ :stuck_out_tongue: If it wasn’t directed at me fair enough. But still having his whole body flash purple would be a big help

Watch this:

http://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=PYmuxMlsuRs#t=43s (this part of the video specifically mentions the purple thing)

I mean it was directed at anyone who’s played Kazuya for a longer time than me and still doesn’t know whether they’re casual or hardcore. If you fall into that then yeah but I wasn’t specifically directing it anywhere. I’ve played him for about 10 minutes in training just now and I’ve only played the game for about 30 minutes total over the last 6 months.

I’m only really getting back into the game now because the changes like making throws not suck (or more specifically they don’t suck as much), improving walk speeds (Law’s walk speed is fucking trash despite having good normals) and having actual block strings makes it old school enough for me to wanna try. Not sure what they were doing with the god awful throw ranges (Melty Blood and KOF might even have better throw ranges) and 7 frame start up…that was a really trash idea. I heard S.Kill had some random excuse for why throws were the way they were but not buying it. At least all the combos in this game are true block strings (unlike SFIV) so once the throws get buffed up I’m sure I’ll like it a lot more. 2013 will definitely have more of an old school feel than whatever the hell this is I’m playing now.

It’ll definitely feel like a more balanced Alpha 1 with a tag system after everything is said and done. Once gems become regular for all tourneys that should be pretty fun too.

The bigger issue I have with the aesthetics of EWGF in this game is that my brother reminded me that he says “doryah” during both WGF and EWGF in SFxT. The whole thing with doryah is that vocal is supposed to signify EWGF. Like in that Tekken 6 EWGF video posted above…he’s saying doryah because he’s doing the EWGF. If he was doing WGF you wouldn’t hear him saying doryah. ** In the beginning of the video they just show you how to cd and release with WGF. During the WGF he just makes a grunt and doesn’t say doryah.**

Even if there was no purple flash or it didn’t visually release faster on screen, if they had made it so he only says doryah during EWGF like in Tekken that would make it easy for anyone to recognize. Having him say doryah on any WGF is rather redundant. Oh well though.

**But yeah…this shit isn’t so hard to the point where anyone who mains him shouldn’t be actively going for it on every mist step cancel. There’s no reason to just do WGF’s except for just not having the hands for it. Which is very possible but it’s like the whole MVC3 Viscant scenario. There are people who literally just don’t have the hands to do things like EWGF or Lightning Loop or Viper’s stairkick loop, seismo fadc, laser cancels, Guilty Gear FRC’s etc. **

Asked chaoslimit to come down over the weekend for some SFxT support at Nextlevel. He uses Nina and Kazuya and his electrics are pretty consistent for the most part. Got some of his matches up here from my shaky hand cam: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyGNfjJKxUp0gabTYylBA5VQIHv_BgSQH

Yeah I’ve already watched some of his stuff. He shows that people are just lazy (at least the ones that have hands capable of doing it). Same thing with TAC infinites in Marvel. People are just lazy. Although there’s so many ways to kill in that game that it’s not as necessary.

I’m only just picking the game up to like actually play it like…right now but if he’s already that consistent I feel I can get there pretty soon also if I grind.

I’ve noticed most people have just been doing the motion raw but I find it easier to do qcf,d,just frame df+HP. Automatically buffers the mist step so there’s no tapping forward and waiting a split second. Really I’m more so just doing qcf, just frame d+HP since my hand usually ends up sliding on the df any way.

That’s actually the team I’ve decided to play lol.

Let me know if you get any time outs. :stuck_out_tongue:

I threw together a little bad edited combo vid with all my most damaging combos that is all pretty easy and practical damaging wise, only thing that is maybe not so practical is the jumping start :stuck_out_tongue: But that could happen too :P.
Featuring mostly Law and Yoshi. And a little bit of Heihachi and Bob, (not as a team).

I used youtube video editor so it sucks really bad :stuck_out_tongue: lol

When I watched the vid in the maker right before publishing, the music was on point where it ended just at the same time the last combo ended… but now it doesn’t :expressionless:
